Hell... my buddies leg fell off on deployment. No really, it did. They had a group of kids from a birthday party help find it. It was a prosthetic leg of course, but it was a very expensive prosthetic leg.

I had an organizer ask me to do that on a belly jump (he was normally a freefly organizer). I told him I was not comfortable doing that and would sit it out if that was not cool. He rethought it and said only do if you're comfortable, if not track like your life depended on, which is what I did. It's not that I can't do a barrel roll, bit if its a shit show at break off, and I need to go a little lower and longer to clear the zoo, I'd don't want to worry about a barrel roll, that I don't normally practice, to take up any more altitude than neccessary.

First IAD grad at Skydive Monroe, GA

This is going to make you very, very popular on the DZ. -
Ok. Here are some awesome places in Cambridge. Hungry Mother Dali West Bridge Cantab Lounge Independent Atwoods In Somerville Highland Kitchen Magouns Saloon The Burren Brookline Publick House Lexington and Bedford are kind of boring so get out and enjoy. Cantab, Atwoods and the Burren have excellent music, unless you like hip hop or Country.

Nice jump! Looks like a blast! Coincidentally, I was a framer who built the middle condo building there at Jackson Gore. Your video is the first time I've seen it all finished.

Do you have a car?

What was your "next" Canopy?
Trafficdiver replied to xijonix's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Sabre2 210 for the last 350 jumps. Since I bought it I have drank many, many good beers and many, many good bourbons, and a large amount of Mac-n-cheese with short rib, scallops, bacon and lobster...my wing loading has suffered. I'm about a 1.2 on it. I never miss the peas on a swoop n' chug and I'm the first to sit out bad winds I have a Sabre 2 170 in my closet waiting to go, but I may just keep on keeping on with what I have now. I do have experienced jumpers, and many of my AFF instructors telling me to downsize, and I will at some point no doubt...but right now I feel real confident on this one and I want to stay here for a bit. The only issue I have is that I want a new, custom fitting container to learn free flying with, as my main flap likes to come out at the damnedest of times. So I figure another 50 or so jumps and ill get a container made to fit a 170. Maybe do 100 or so on my riggers 190 before then. We'll see. -
I think I stood up one out of my first 20 or so. The 45 second thing will change when you start pulling at 3500. You'll get a lot closer to 60 second ff.

I love hearing that! Welcome to the forum.

First Jump on Ninja Shoes
Trafficdiver replied to FlyingRhenquest's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
What exactly do you climb? My business requires lots of climbing (fireplace installations) but we use ladders. I could see those being good on a roof if you didn't have the split toe, but as they are they look like more of a fall hazard than anything...and ridiculously stupid to boot. No pun intended. -
My experience so far. Pretty long post ahead.

Obviously the girl standing it up in the peas must be someone else who got on your video page somehow, cause she did awesome. -
Hi, Very Important Question!! (promises to keep)
Trafficdiver replied to mandylyn75's topic in Introductions and Greets
Just get the video for him. Most of the time they can get you both on the plane ride up. Show your friends his video with you in it. Maybe they can even get your exit. That will save you $100. -

How long before you considered yourself a nom-smoker?
Trafficdiver replied to Nataly's topic in The Bonfire
Couple of years. After that you are completely done with the physical addiction. If you smoke again after that its no different from starting in the first place. 13 years without a cigarette or a coffee here. Hehe, had to quit them both, they were far too intertwined. Other vices I've had more trouble with. -
Go back to Skydive Spaceland. ask for the head of AFF. Repeat this story to him/her. They will take it from there. Then just be awesome and have fun

Skyventure NH is 15 minutes from Pepperell which flies an otter 7 days a week in the summer. It's about 45 minutes to the beach and Boston. Hour or so to the White Mountains.

If that coach wont work with you find another and Id say BETTER coach. IF you vare staying on a canopy that many think is inappropriate it is in EVERYONES interest to make sure you are properly trained on it. Seriously dude find someone who WILL help you out on the finer points. WOW?? I'd be interested in hearing the canopy coaches take on this?? My guess is, we haven't heard the whole story here. But, let me take a wild guess.... Could it be, the Coach wanted you to get coaching on a more appropriate canopy before you killed yourself on a canopy you have no business flying? I've got $20 at 10:1 that says I'm right... any takers????

I refer to it as the tube of infinite frustration. Don't worry, just keep at it. You'll get more consistent with practice.

Looking for Drop clubs in Atlanta
Trafficdiver replied to shai101's topic in Introductions and Greets
It's a dropzone. The course is called an FJC. First Jump Course. Then you do AFF. Accelerated Freefall. Good luck. -
Very, very nice!!
