Depends on what countries are bordering or near the offending nation. But if you like 1980's nuclear movies whose messages say teenagers or bumbling spies can save the world from annihilation by shallow one-dimensional military leaders, then you would probably say something simple like Nuclear assault. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

The shiny one on the coffee table. Looks the most concealable. The uzi least dangerous. Looks like it's missing useful components. Questions about picture E. I noticed that he is also a left-handed shooter. Is that picture is of you? If it is, did you have an issue with using the safety with your left thumb? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

All this empirical evidence, I'm going to burn my science books He isn't writing a scholary paper, he's reporting what he has seen. I've seen the same thing. And here is some empirical evidence that suggests he is right: http://faculty.chicagobooth.edu/erik.hurst/research/race_consumption_qje_submission.pdf _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Because protecting Europe secures our interests that are economically tied. The same money going to public option takes a lot longer to provide a smaller economical impact. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

At least you are having fun. Do they wear that stuff at a Cleveland Browns game? I remember when the Dog Pound was considered the most dangerous group of tax accountants in the world

It was a good game. But, why do Raiders fans dress like they are going to a GWAR concert? When did pirates ever wear spikes and paper mache? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Actually, I think their "personality peference" is our "boobie peference". You know, when we say we prioritize looks, the no so great-looking ones call us shallow, and when the women priortize personality and humor and the not-so desirable guys call the women as "playing the game" or "not being direct with them" or "want to be friends". _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Well, if it means anything, back in my dating years, I found it offensive when some women would call me out on any chivalry mistakes. Some of them had to find their own way home. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

He could have just wanted a piece of ass. It didn't look like he had respect for your position. He's probably one of those guys that troll the dating sites to look for easy pickings to supplement his conquests. You weren't one of the pathetic ones. He struck out. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Code-breaking quantum algorithm run on a silicon chip
nanook replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
But do you understand what I am getting at? The study of quantum mechanics has existed at least since the 19th century. This multiverse stuff didn't show up in popular science fiction till around the 1940's or so. I think you got your info from the latter, who use fancy science words (like Star Trek) to make a backdrop to a utopic story whose purpose is to show difference between society of today vs. better future society; mostly due to writer's lack of imagination (or financial reward to fill escapism needs). You are not supposed to take those things seriously. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln -
Code-breaking quantum algorithm run on a silicon chip
nanook replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
What do you mean by this? if quantum computers work (which they seem to do from these very early calculations) it pretty much confirms that the multiverse exists and that it is being drawn upon to do the quantum computations. When I see the word "quantum" anywhere, I immediately assume it relates to the mundane area of Quantum Mechanics(teeny tiny objects and their behaviors), not the "magical wand" explaination used by science fiction writers to explain where three legged millenium falcon piloting space cadets came from. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln -

Shah May just be right about the engineering types . . .
nanook replied to turtlespeed's topic in The Bonfire
I would say he is fundamentally right on a lot of things that aren't PC, but sometimes may be wrong on the explainations of his conclusions. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln -
California's Real Death Panels: Insurers Deny 21% of Claims
nanook replied to ryoder's topic in Speakers Corner
Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force... This right here hammers that nail in deeper for me. When the govt runs out of money for the fiscal year, we don't get more to cover unsuspected costs. We cut back and completely stop many programs altogether. Example, we are not moving anybody back and forth between duty stations and halting new orders till next fiscal year. No new people. No new parts, no more support, ect ect. What happens if the National health care costs runs over in the U.S. for a given fiscal year? They will scale back a lot of programs. This is a common occurence regardless of upturns or downturns. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln -

Of course what you say is true; I wasn't concentrating on the Marine or his mission himself, but the sentence as example of silly question. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Doesn't make sense. If a Marine is part of something deceptive, then he or she is not honest therefore can't answer the "honest Marine" question. So your lack of an answer is caused by your bad question itself, not for a lack of an honest Marine. . . That is unless the structure of the sentence is intentional and you hope some audience out there is not bright enough to realize the true purpose of this honest question. That will then prove your dominion over the sheeple. They will then call you Savior. The Messiah has risen! "Illuminati, let my sheeple go or my Website will curse you with annoying "facts"!!!" (please videotape yourself when you say this to your congregation. I would like a copy) _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Wait ,.. just a second Bro, I've had many charcoal lighter fluid fires under my beloved Weber charcoal grills' grill . The grilling surface is very thin guaged steel. Should I expect a catastrophic failure next time I cook up some wings? Blues, Cliff Your grill does not support any load. It's not the lighter fluid that would weaken the steel, it's the charcoal that burns for a time. The fluid burns off almost immediately, but not before setting off the charcoal. Your grill is designed for charcoal and it doesn't bear but a few ounces of meat. It's the same for the jet fuel vs. the officer furniture, paneling, carpets, metals, wires, paper, solvents, plastics. The CT's use the fuel as some sort of red herring when all you need is the damage caused by a large plane and a cigarette lighter and some paper, more time, and a disabled sprinkler system. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
