I wanna play!!!!! I like that game - it even has super otters as one of the accessories!

You know, I would have to say YES! Beer! If it is a FIRST and it is SKYDIVING RELATED, then, yup, you owe beer. Good thinking!

When a man just can't get over a done relationship!!!

four words....... grab, squeeze, twist, pull! works like a charm! -
that's just plain evil.

Hey! Yay! We had that skyvan at our boogie this year - barely made it over the trees at the end of the runway on every jump. we made everyone suck in their guts and hold their breath. i love that plane!!!! great for hybrid exits!
-
My thoughts exactly - not really swoopin shoes, are they?
-
Well, she treats us great. She's my favorite plane to jump out of (next to Mike Mullin's King Air, of course). I think it takes no more than 12 or 13 minutes to get to altitude (14,000). She's a smooth ride (thanks to Mickey, our wonderful otter pilot!)! Never given us trouble. And she's the biggest, badest plane in Michigan! Nough said.

Here she is. Ain't she pretty???
-
no shit. well, i guess it's BYOPK then. (bring your own pain killers)

Yeah, I know. I did that and got a lot of great info from people like Skreamer, describing his FJC experience. I guess I was kind of hoping to have some sort of comparison where they were all reviewed together. Guess not. It's cool.
-
I've seen some reviewed here and there. Does anybody know of a place where they have reviewed all first jump courses? Are they all more or less the same? Are there any to be avoided? Thinking about taking one sometime early next season. Any inside info I could get would be helpful. Thanks, Liz

you know, someone once told me not to mention skydiving in an interview. they said it may scare them away from hiring you. if someone wants to hire me, they need to accept that skydiving is a major part of my life. why would i ever want to hide that? it's part of who i am. i wouldn't go out of my way to tell them, but if they ask what i do for fun or with my personal time, i would definately mention it.

scam. happened to someone i know.

balls? nope, don't think so. but we are going to down at pahokee... i think. i don't know too much about that yet, but i do know that a bunch of our top freeflyers just took a trip to atlanta to go to spaceball camp or something. doesn't your dropzone have to be a certain distance from residentail areas or something, in case you lose a ball? i think that has something to do with why we don't do it at tecumseh. but now i'm starting to just talk out of my ass, so i'll stop.

The AFF jump was powerful. There are some seriously good people in this sport, willing to put themselves on the line to share such an experience. I was thrilled to see that jump. Thank you to those involved.

It's a bit of a hike - almost 200 miles I think. But, if you ever want to come up for a weekend, you'd probably have a great time. We have lots of places to crash indoors - now that it is cold out. and tons of tent space for the warmer summer nights. it's really cool that ron bought the dz in florida, but it does mean our otter will be taking off after this weekend. we'll definately be getting out of the cesnas, and hopefully he'll bring something else in if we have a nice weekend. at least that's what i hear is in the plans. we're actually really lucky to have so many great freeflyers at our dz. none of them are shy about jumping with the newbies. and if you let them (like sporto and marshall) they will stay up all night talking to you about flying your body, etc. when they got started, it was just them. they pretty much had to learn from watching videos and trial/error - very time consuming. yup, we have a great family. again, there's no place like home! i'm sure everyone has these things, right!
-
Tecumseh is mainly freeflyers nowadays. We've got the infamous Sporto, Marshall, Hippie, JR, Hummit, and the rest of the resident skyGods, along with dozens of others who are all gettin on their heads pretty quick. Word spread fast this year and our dz just about doubled in size. We also have the only Super Otter in Michigan. I'll stop bragging now. There's no place like home, there's no place like home. (not to mention... we're the home dz of the Flying Hellfish). WooooooooHooooooooooo.
-
wow, that is way cool. makes me think there must be soooooo much more out there than just us little earthlings.
-
yeah, cuz it's sooooooooooooooooooooo much warmer there!
-
Well said. Damn dude, you got me there. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr... it's way too cold out.
-
yup. you're gay.
