I guess there was no skydiving before there was a USPA to give out a license allowing you to do this? Be safe. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

I've flown with more then a few Jason. I don't concider myself top dog though I have my wingsuit school at the DZ. I'm just there most of the time to teach and/or organize the flocks. I've flown both suits, they are both AWESOME suits, but there is no "hard data" making the "performance" show that one is better then the other, and my opinion of both suits is mine and I will keep them to myself. Many suits are made for different body sizes, which produces more wing area, and if the person is light enough and knows how to fly it correctly, they can cover alota ground or remain floaty. It all about weight, material and glide angles. As a matter of fact Tim-o-t can smoke me in his SugarGlider, of course he's 6'1" and 143lbs, so that must make the SugarGlider as the suit leading the way in performance? Also, IMO performance in a suit shouldn't be judge just on how much distance, MAXED OUT you can cover, but instead the all around performance of the suit, like flying slow forward but being able not "fall out of the sky like a rock" without the forward speed. And the manuverability of the suit also, without the pilot being flown by the suit as I have seen many times. Now that this thread has been thrown way off topic, I'll just say this..... I wish every wingsuit pilot would just stop all the, "my suit is better then yours" bullshit and just fly together. Unless you are gathering "hard data" and doing MANY solo's to gain this the correct way, stating, "my suit is leading the wingsuits in performance", you are doing nothing but causing anomosity between the flyers that choose other brands to buy and fly. Fly what you choose to fly and just have fun.

AFF level1 lost jumpmaster, uncontrollable spin

Maybe another just like it, but not this one. It was copied for me by the camera flyer and erased from the camera by the DZM. I haven't let anyone copy it. Be safe. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -

Hmmm, how do you figure? Because it new? Not to brag, but I can easily smoke all of the V1's I have flown with in my S3 and my S3 Special, or even in the Hybrid Prototype I have. Performance is in the PILOT, really...... Be safe. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

AFF level1 lost jumpmaster, uncontrollable spin
bodypilot1 replied to peterjames's topic in Safety and Training
BINGO If the Instructor cannot skydive himself, belly to earth, how will he ever expect to upright a student. The Instructor that gets behind the power curve and flips on his back with the student, needs to flip himself over first, then flip the student over. I have GREAT video of a local AFF I that got into a spin with a student and "just let go" after he let the spin accelerate so fast he couldn't hold on, and then preceeded to "just watch" with NO attempt to stop the spinning student . The students spin was very fast out of control, and the student pulled thankfully. The camera flyer got closer to the student then the AFF I would! And to top it off, after the student pulled in a tremendous spin, the AFF I flew over to the camera flyer and high 5'd him with a BIG smile on his face. Be safe. AFF level1 lost jumpmaster, uncontrollable spin
bodypilot1 replied to peterjames's topic in Safety and Training
Hmm, I'd get another Instructor.... One of the techniques an Instructor MUST HAVE, in order to get an AFF rating, is to be able to stop a students from spinning on his back, and flip the student over belly to earth. NOT just let go. Sounds like your Instructor was keeping you on your back..... Good luck. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -

That doesn't sound bad..... I think alot of TI's do it that way, if they are wise. I also make it a last second decision to stand, but the student has already been prepared to sit shortly after my canopy controlability check.

Best place to jump on september
bodypilot1 replied to chileanXaos's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Sorry, but you dont know what your talking about. There is a bunkhouse with 10 rooms in it directly behind the packing hanger. If you choose to camp it's easy to sleep after jumping and having alittle liquid libation afterward. There is also hotels within 4 mins from the DZ if you wish to get a room. -
GREAT advise Simon. Be safe. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Does FS1 (CAT10) allow you to jump with tandems ?
bodypilot1 replied to lintern's topic in Safety and Training
A license, of any kind, never "lets you jump" with a tandem. It's the Tandem Instructor that "let's you jump" with him if given permission to. Be safe. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -
