My new custom helmet paint job
bodypilot1 replied to gravitysucks's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This can be sanded out with 600 grit wetsand paper. Make sure to add a couple drops os dish soap in the bucket when ytou do it, and make sure it cures all the way before you sand it. Dont sand through the clear coat though. After your done sanding you can buff out the helmet with alittle elbow grease and a good swirl remover or carnuba wax. This is probably over spray, and can be sanded and buffed the same way. -
This is funny.... Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Wrong. It's happened to MANY. You probably didn't push yourself back away from the step, possibly worrying abour hitting the horzontal stabilizer, and just removed your feet from the step. Practicing your exit on the ground may have solved this. Your instructor may have caught your mistake on the ground and warned you about this. Next time practice pushing off at a 45 degree angle and you'll be fine.

Should an AFFI lose their rating if they 'drop' a student?
bodypilot1 replied to Hooknswoop's topic in Instructors
Yes! Those AFF-I's that do not attempt to stop an out of control spinning student, above 2000ft, should have their rating pulled.... Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -
What difference does that make? USPA dz or not, any DZO/DZM that sees you pulling at 400ft intentionally will most likely send you walking.... Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

If your exit altitude is correct, as well as your opening altitude, I'd say your time of only 2 mins 46 seconds, your flying skills, well....... SUCK! Hope you dont have a mal at that altitude on your skydiving gear. And what a great way to get booted off the dz.... Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Are you worried about the tons of money they are making off of that little picture of YOU? If the picture is being used in such a way that humiliates you I wouldn't worry too much about it. Most would just be happy to see a picture of them that everyone else could see. You could always just stay inside your house with the shades dowm, so no pictures are taken? Be safe. Does a tandem count towards your total jump count?
bodypilot1 replied to Viking's topic in The Bonfire
If you left the aircraft while it was in flight and landed on the earth, it was a jump. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -
Visa, Thanks for the post of your flight. Nevermind the thoughts of those who will always continue to shadow dout, and always continue to pursue the dream of what makes you feel happy and alive! Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Jumpmaster/helicopter question
bodypilot1 replied to pincheck's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
A helo will normally have some forward speed when dropping jumper. The size of groups are normally small and there must be more time between exits. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -

No. You can see him turn to the left and exit facing the plane just before he steps off into the slip stream. Be safe. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Not to break it down into some aeronautic or scientific giberish, it depends alot on exit technique. Some stick the exit, and then some dont. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

The video looks as if the guy in the S3 is gaining altitude on exit and the guy in the V1 is losing altitude on exit. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
