Unfortunately it's still concidered YOURS, only they are in possession of it. I don't know of any insurance company that will cover damaged equipment done, by the user themselves. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

I have no idea. I jumped there when Colin owned it in the early 90's and we landed on the airport. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -
Lack of responsible leadership is killing skydivers

What a great reply from Don, rest his soul.... Too many times people complain of things they do not care to get involved in enough to fix the problems, nor do they elaborate on details they are complaining about. Get involved and do something about it. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -

Now THAT depends on who is driving. Actually I was being consevative Andy. If you dont jump there on a regular basis, it seems more like an HOUR! It's all good though. Everyone just gets alittle closer to everyone else on the load, and you realize driving on the road is at times way more dangerous then jump from an airplane. Might I suggest this twist off top wine.

Hmmm, sounds like you had more them just the one complaint in regard to your original post. Maybe you could just not jump with this particular BMI or group, and try making your own flock? With your comment, "machiavellian wingsuiting ego trippers..............has BMI gone to the dogs or what??????? ", it sounds as though your blaming all BMI's for acting in a way that you don't think is right, and I can assure you this isn't the case. Maybe it would be better to take this up on a personal level with them? I'm sorry for your bad experience and your welcome to come and fly with me anytime. I have PLENTY of RW, organizing and debriefing experience. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

You dont even need a to be a BMI to do that...... Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

A BMI, unless he/she is an S&TA, DZM or DZO, really has no authority to GROUND ANYONE. However, if the mature gentlemen was flying a demo suit that the BMI provided to him, they have every right to take the suit away. It sounds like there could be more information to this story unfortunatly. Care to post it? I do hope it will all work out in the end and everyone will be flying again.

Technically, you aren't making money in any way when using your truck as cover. But, if they were to determine that when you were busted for jumping an object, and had the capability of driving your personal vehicle to the site during your off work hours, they will certainly see that you were using their vehicle for your cover and take it away from you no dout. Yes, it works great.

No, that was a recommendation from someone that has never seen him or seen him jump. He asked the general public if he should buy this equipment he's clearly not ready for, and we all know his intent was to jump it. Most unfortunatly do not wait until they are qualified if they have it in their possession. I have, and I have. Good for you! Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Didn't you say you had 5 jumps? That's a start! If your are landing the canopy ok, that you are now jumping as a student, then thats the PERFECT CANOPY SIZE for you to purchase until you have alot more experience.

Joe, Try filling out all of your profile. Besides, thats a question best left to an Instructror that has seen you land a parachute. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

This bit of info was posted in another group here in Nor Cal by aliasjumper@yahoo.com "For European certification they required a new test on the wing of the PAC 750XL. The test is something like 3.5 G's plus 150%. On the test wing (almost 40,000lbs), It came up 8% of the desired goal. That is why there is a new temporary max weight of 7125 lbs. The factory knew that the wing and spar should easily pass the test, so they knew there was either a manufacturing issue with that one wing or a flaw in the test. Upon investination, they discovered incorect rivits installed in the spar cap. So within 48 hours the factory had a fix and issued a service bullentin. To insure the error could not repeated, they elected to replace the rivits with bolts. Now in the real world, it was never a operational issue. We had to do a new weight & balance. So with a full load of 17 jumpers, you are now limited to 350 lbs of fuel. Since we usually only fly with 15 or 16 as a max, there is no change. The good news is the Factory ID'ed a problem and had it resolved with a fix, retested and had service bullentin issued within 48 hours. That's factory support!
