Congrats. You'll soon realize you've never smiled so much in you life watching her grow.

I agree, and then when you get it, post a picture of it all layed out on the floor like nobody has ever seen a wingsuit before! Edited for correct spelling because Matt told me to... Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Openings are opening, 7 or 9 cell..... Canopy chioce and good packing techniques are always good, but there is no excuse for bad body position at pull time, and possibly the choice of wingsuit they have chosen is too much for the skydiver that is flying it. Why would you think that? Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Diving exits are fun. That blows, literally...... Good luck next weekend then.

To me, properly tightened laterals means the student is snug against you, not capable of moving to the side, thus allowing his/her hips to stay inline with yours while in freefall. Having the laterals overly snug is not comfortable for neither the TI or the student. IMO, if the laterals are adjusted correctly, the TI must arch also, with the student, inorder for them to have any arch at all. Most TI's that I have seen over the years seem to get lazy and lose any sign of an arch when they do tandems, and sometime rely on the drouge for stability....... Be safe. Would you mention that you are a skydiver?
bodypilot1 replied to Superman32's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This is you definition of a skydiver? Why lie? You have 85 jumps and you think your Superman.... Your bound to break your silence when they bring out the Kryptonite, so tell them before of your hiring. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -

Push off at 45 and watch your nose! Good luck!

2 Instructors for an AFF progression isn't needed, should you choose not to do static line. The private TAF program I teach works great! I take them on 2 "working tandems", then do single Instructor AFF jumps with video for the rest of their student jumps. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Have 2 birds out and exiting at 45 degrees to the line of flight. Have the BASE bird of those 2 watch the plane until all have exited the plane, then carve a slow turn until he's 90 to the line of flight. Have the next 3 or 4 birds, nearest the door, do a side step exit, facing the line of flight as they exit and looking over their shoulder as they find the formation and move towards at a safe speed. Then have the rest of the birds, that are in the plane facing the tail, exit doing a back loop heading down hill, and turn to the right as the formation moves away from them. They'll have a whole shit load of speed, so tell them to go easy as they approach the formation, as it should be heading 90 degrees from the line of flight by the time they get to it. Have fun! John Consider trying a Nitron/Nitro, and I know you'll love it for your wingsuit. The shorter lines and the HMA are great. I have 1000+ wingsuit openings on 108 and 98, only a few with line twists more then 180, and only one that I can say dove toward the ground with line twists. I have 0 cutaways with my wingsuit. Shit, did I just jinx myself? just my .02 Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Then unless this girl was hurt, this post should not be in the incident forum, but maybe the instructors or S/T forum? Edit: Just noticed it has been moved. IMO if the student had unanswered questions on the gear she was jumping, and voiced her concern to other jumpers about it, then maybe the DZM or DZO should have been involved before she was allowed to board the plane? And if the other jumpers that suspected this girl is being put into unsafe gear, allow the her to jump that gear, without bringing someone with more experience into the situation, they are wrong too for not bringing it up. That's a DZ issue and has nothing to do with other jumpers on the DZ. Reserves can malfuction too. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

And the intent for posting it here is what? To add speculation? or remind instructors not to date students? Edit to add: Was she dating him before she even made the skydive? If that was the case, she wasn't dating her instructor, but the guy she was dating happened to be an Instructor. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
