  6. I'd have to agree. Fun 108 ways, and it was good to see you last week Craig.
  7. Chest straps shouldn't be too loose, but they also shouldn't be adjusted too tight. Most of the time I have seen AFF-I's over tighten the chest strap of a student, the rest of the harness doesn't fit then either, and they are just trying to get away with using the, sometimes limited, gear that the DZ is supplying. Students should be fit with a harness/container that fits them according to their body size and adjusted correctly. Most student canopies are fit into medium/large size harness/containers to accomodate a range of students, but one of the most important things an AFF-I needs to know is how to adjust the harness correctly to each student and when to say, NO THE STUDENT CAN NOT JUMP to the DZO/DMZ if none of the student gear fits the student correctly, and that it's not safe. I'll second that! Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  10. I concur with what jverley said, about taking out a bulletproof exit then transitioning, but also be ready to travel to a DZ and practice that uses the type of aircraft you'll be competing out of. Good luck Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  11. PM sent Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  12. I have about 10 times more tandems then you Craig. Explain the "breathing after a good scream" thing to them during each briefing and you'll be fine. I think you'll find that the ones that do have a problem will be few and far between, so dont worry about it. Like you said, by the time you realize a breathing problem, it's already about time to pull anyway unless they are flapping their arms wildly and grabbing their throat. Once you open they'll be just fine. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  17. No worries. After your done doing that one COLD jump at sunrise, you'll only have to drive 40mins south to flock with us in Lodi. Be safe. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  18. Yo Fraser Email me if you are interested in hearing about the rooms available at the Parachute Center in Lodi. They are large enough to sleep 4 comfortably and there is jumping 7 days a week. We also have about 7 wingsuit flyers as a regular group flockers. Be safe. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  21. Sorry I haven't been online do to being busy with moving and no DSL until today. It was nice it was to fly over the beautiful state of Oregon last weekend.
  22. I dont explain any of the landing techniques until we are under canopy. I think telling a student, at anytime before the jump, to bring his legs up to their chest (fetal position) may stick in their head sometime if they get confused. Also, the picture looks as though the side laterals are very loose and extended, thus letting the student get into this position easily by dropping his legs. I always tighten the side laterals much tighter so even if they do drop their knees, it will never put us in this akward position. Be safe. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
