  1. Post clips! Always good to get that sorta thing out for others to see. Just PLEEEEASE don't be sending it to "Real TV" or "You Gotta See This" though they'd probably LOVE to air it. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  2. "Yank" is no derogatory term for an American my friend... Look to your New York baseball team the Yankees? Edited to say: I just did a little research... Oxford English Dictionary says the source of the word is "unascertained." There are a whole bunch of loose explanations all over the net though: -This supposedly was a derogatory nickname bestowed on the Dutch by the Germans and the Flemish in the 1600s -The English later applied the term to Dutch pirates, and later still Dutch settlers in New York applied it to English settlers in Connecticut, who were known for their piratical trading practices -Southerners used Yankee pejoratively to describe Northerners during the Civil War, but found themselves, along with all other Americans, called thus by the English during world wars I and II. Hehe, looks like it may have been a derogatory term but You Yanks eventually accepted it it... looks just like the case of "The black man can call the other black man N*gga... but I'd sure as hell better not"
  3. I wish! LOL My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  4. Interesting thought.... US says it doesn't know how many detainees in Cuba "The memory hole"... hehe, I like the sounds of that. You see? This is exactly my point! Who knows, when all is said and done, it may even turn out to be: U.S. Official: "What prisonners?" [looks around real koy] "I haven't seen any prisonners, have you seen any prisonners?" Yank Soldier: "Who me? I didn't see any prisonners." lol My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  5. Hmmm, don't think the U.S. can defend a camp that size.. IN the states? On a millitary or Naval base? I wonder what type of rescue attempts would be made here that couldn't be made there. Seems to me, if you keep a man in a hole with a bag over his head, he aint' going to be leaking any info to anyone... be-he in Cuba, or in the states. That dude that can build an A-bomb... think he'll ever see a trial? lol. You mention the lawyers... no chance of him seeing one in cuba, but he might here in the states... interesting how you throw our points at us Juane. Do you understand that this man has a right to a lawyer? You've decided in a post to SkyDekker that the constitution does not apply to these people by using the quote "We the people" thinking somehow that these rights are an American thing... you know the part where it says "All men are created equal?"... what of that? You know, I could watch a man kill another man... I'd still protest if he didn't get a fair trial. let's face it, if such a man existed in camp x-ray, he'd of been killed a long time ago. I actually find myself wondering if the secrecy and placement of this camp is so that when the smoke clears, no one will have any idea how to perform a head count? How many prisonners were there? The tone of this implies that you think they are lucky to get even that! ROFLMAO!! Did you mean to say 'benefit of the doubt'? I laugh because you said "Law" instead. Oh, my. Surely you see the humour? That you say give the Govt the benefit of the law... when it's their benefit of not having to follow any laws that most are protesting in this thread? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  6. Number one, You'll be my 'dark-side' match! (check the Avatar) What canopy is it to be? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  7. Ah-Ha! Well, now we get to terminology... firstly, are we not all supposed to love everyone? Obviously now, I love my neighbor in a completely different sense than my spouse or significant other but it just goes to show how the word is bounced around. "A connection is a connection. Love is love." True true but read the rest of my post. It's less like saying you love a person by seeing their name on a piece of paper and more like saying you love someone after reading their life story. If you read the rest of my post, you'll note that the two people are compatible in every way, could be 'meant for eachother', and share a spiritual connection. If you are one of these people, and you meet the other and sense these things... truly believe them... than how can you not love this person? I know what you're saying about most people don't love eachother until after chatting abit and whatnot.. I simply present that we don't decide that we love someone... we discover it. Thusly, it is possible for the extremely sensitive to know it is love from the start? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  8. We're more on the same page than you think. If you truly beleive in the fact that people can be 'meant' for eachother (and I do despite the fact that everyone can find happiness with any number of people out there), than can this spiritiaul connection not be sensed before-hand? In other words, two poeple are comletely compatible for one another, say they share a connection that neither of them is aware of. If this connection is true, it is an energy linking them and can be sensed by a perceptive/responsive/sensitive individual. It is my blelief that this is what we call 'love at first sight' because you can feel the overwhelming 'good vibes' from the start.... This is often confused with the stirring in the pants caused by true lust at first sight though. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  9. LOL well, newbie Cecily... if that is your real name
  10. Yeah, found that one. Was hoping there was one out there, true-er to the one in that particular episode. Thanks Ivan
  11. Yeah but I can't seem to find him. Thought I'd pick at all your hard drives. Wait though, I might be on to someting here.... My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  12. Hello All, Remember on the simpsons episode, when Homer creates the Mr. X conspiracy website? Remember Homers prototype website? The collection of anoying Gif animations? Does anyone know where I can find that "dancing Jesus" one for real?
  13. Same reason as the Nazis shipped the majority of Jews to camps in Poland? "Those who fail to learn the lessons of history ....." And Bill answered the same question with 'tis indeed what I think. Can anyone on here -who is currently defending the treatment of these prisonners-please provide me with any explanations? Even if you're only guessing. 'Cause I really, honestly, cannot think of any other reason for such a place as camp x-ray. To me, there is but one reason to hold them in such secrecy... Area 51 style. I hear "the press would be all over it if they were being mistreated"... but I wonder how welcome the press is to x-ray. I hear "I know someone who's there now, he/she says that...." And I stop listening there. If any of you have peolpe who are presently at camp x-ray, and are telling you anything about it... he/she either doesn't have a clue as to what's going on (i.e. is only there to mop floors and such), or is in violation by telling you anything. I mean let's face it... any personel at that camp who knows anything of any importance is bound to not saying anything about it. Even the name denotes that this 'camp' is designed to extract info... I don't buy any of it. So please, enlighten me. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  14. WTF!?! Definately weird dude. You should reply... tell 'em it feels "f*ckin' Fa-bu-lous!" Ask for video.

    pink in camo

I thought you were going to say something about the plane! Pink got a new paint job! hehe. That's pretty funny dude. Like the time I was on the bus with a girl friend of mine, she was listening to the Smashing Pumkins on her diskman... imagine the look on many of the pasengers faces when she decided to chime in a start signing along at "I used to be a little boy!..." lol Good morning everyone!!! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  16. Hehe, the post was deleted by billvon before I could finish this reply!: Juan, seriously guy... what is on your agenda?.. why don't you lay off Philly and focus on the actual, factual thread... before you get the f*cking thing locked! He's called you on some shit and you can't back it up... that's your cue. Anyway, I'm with JDboston... very well put Joe, especially where you wonder about how people might think differently about torture if it's their loved ones at risk. Well, I'm positive I would see things differently if torturing some towelhead could save my sister, brother, best friend or whatnot... but does it change the moral implications of torture itself? I stand behind everything you state about approved interogation techniques... but am willing to bet there are many people just getting plain ol' knocked around at camp x-ray. Has anyone given any good reason as to why they're being held in a camp in Cuba? Can anyone give any good reason as to why they're being held in a camp in Cuba? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  17. A man walked into the local welfare office, marched straight up To The counter and said, "Hi, I hate drawing welfare. I would really rather find a job," The person behind the counter replied, "Your timing is amazing. We just got a listing from a very wealthy man who wants a chauffeur/bodyguard for his nymphomaniac daughter. You'll have to drive around in a big black Mercedes, and the suits, shirts, and ties are provided. Because of the long hours of this job, meals will also be provided and you will also be required to escort the young lady on her overseas holidays trips. The salary package is $200,000 a year!" The man said, "You're bullshitting me man!" The clerk behind the counter said, "Yeah, well, you started it." My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  18. Until found guilty, they are just "alleged terrorists", not "poor terrorists". There is a reason for due process, although it seems to have escaped you. Due process is important. The right to a fair trial is crucial. and yadda yaddati-yadda. What of the right not to be tortured? Are we all in agreement that after 'due process', when certain 'alleged terrorists' are actually 'proven terrorists', that it will be okay to torture them? I hope not. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  19. Being worried about being near a Drugged up Philly is your right, and no it has nothing to do with race.... But being worried about being blown up because your sittin next to a Turban? Hmmm I don't see how these things compare... in one, you are watching someone DO something that makes you worry about his/your safety. In the other, you are just seeing a Turban and it makes you worry. If the reason for this suspiciousness is some fabric wrapped around a man's head, yes. Dont feel bad if you don't get it... I'll keep tryin' Well, thanks to bigotry, predjudice and good ol' fashioned racism, muslims will indeed have it a little tougher... but, it is my opinion that nobody will suffer more from all this crap in the future, than the American people themselves. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  20. Ouch! lol I tried many a combined word... this seemed the 'clearest' to me. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  21. Bwahahaaaa, I got this one. Being suspicious is not being racist Being suspicious solely because of race is. clear? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  22. Wow... That's it, just 'wow'. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  23. I just have a couple words to add to this. When you are single, the couples around you seem to have it all together. You want to be part of a couple too. Once courtship begins, the small problems associated with coupling begin to arise. This, coupled with the the little irritating things you may not have notice about the other, may change your view of the 'loving couple'. Before long, say after a couple months, you wonder what sold you on this couple thing in the first place. Ahh the trials of courtship, many a verse and a couplet have been dedicated to warning about them. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  24. Oh my... that's gonna get you floded My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  25. Oh Jason, It's much worse than that my friend. They don't all mutually agree on these as code words... This is an Inherent characteristic in the human womans ability to communicate. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
