HERE HERE!!! Well put. Oh hell yeah! Isn't that the number one reason/excuse for all the gun-crasyness in the States? Isn't the possible 'overthrowing' of a government gone villainous, by the people it governs, like the reason for the amendment which allows Heston to say: "You can have my gun, when you pry it from my cold dead hands." lol Hate and fear your goverment, until the rest of the world does too... then you back them up. As I read the article, I imagined several reply posts I might expect to find from a bunch of skydivers. As I read your responses, I have to say that generally, I'm dissapointed. We are still talking about human beings right? There's a very good reason those "monsters of the world" are being held in Cuba and not in the states. There's a very good reason that they are being called 'detainees' instead of 'P.O.Ws' and there's a very good reason they are being called 'combatants' instead of 'soldiers'. You all know, deep down, that these people are being mistreated. I'd venture so far as to say the very first time any of you heard about them, you imagined them being tortured for info, jokes spread like wildfire about all the things that may be being done to them... makes me sick. And I can't say it works wonders for the anti-Americanism in me. Think real hard before suggesting that any of this camp x-ray bullshit is anywhere near humane, decent, moral or right. And remember always that this is the crap your grandchildren are going to read about in history class.... take a moment right now to think about the last 100 years in that book... don't you all think it's time to lighten up the story a bit? Woa! Sorry guys, don't mean to be bashing the states. To stay with the topic at hand: IMHO, the prisonners at camp x-ray are bound to be treated like animals (but without any of the rights we allow most animals), by animals. What's FTP stand for? Yeah, it is a web-interface. Why is that such a bad thing? (I mean appart from having to browse for, chose and, upload each and every file seperately... actually, that in itself is pain in the butt enough.) My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Okay, will do :-) This was just the first option presented to me... I'll likely build a completely new site once I've learnt the languages faily fluently hehe. I'll put the new site somewhere else. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Right on, thanks you guys. I figured it was a bandwidth issue being that it's a free site and I have a bunch of large picture files on it. Thing is it mentions a monthly limit but now the site is up again. Does it just sorta just take a 'time out' and then let you back in? And then is your data transfer set back to zero against your limit? I started reading about how to increase it at a cost but I wouln't do that until I really know what I'm doing anyway. Hello all, I'm teaching myself to build webpages and having fun at doing it. Can anyone tell me exactly what "The web site you are trying to access has exceeded its allocated data transfer" means? I think I have an idea, my site is stored at Geocities for free and they only allow it to be viewed so much? It mentioned that I've "exceeded it's allocated data transfer for a month"... but that "Access to the site will be restored within an hour." Does that make sense to anyone? I like: "Remember when sex was safe, and skydiving was dangerous?" and the PD one: "My sport ate your sport for breakfast." and while we're at it, not skydive related but: "Hold my beer while I kiss your girlfriend." My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

why do people "give each other skin" in the plane?
goose491 replied to Newbie's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I give skin to show love, to say "Have a good skydive everyone!!!", [mutter under voice] to say goodbye just in case [\mutter under voice] We sorta do a hooky type thing whereby you stick out only two fingers (index and major), hook them up at the first knuckle with the other personds two fingers, and then pull them apart... then the point... When it comes to the people at the other end that you can't reach, it then seems natural to simply show 'em the peace sign and the point. Funny, I haven't really given it much thought until this post. "Whuffo you guys keep slappin' hands?" lol. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! -
Spectre 150 propacked: 700-1000 ft. Samurai 136 propacked with nose stuffed and slider biased to the front: 500-650ft. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

As long as you didn't use your "packing tool" and pack it, you should be okay. That would just be over the line. Or so long as you didn't go to town on the BOC in your sleep My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! -
Oops! how did that extra 'u' slip in there? lol Heather took the shot that day she came and spent the day at the DZ. Pumpkin Pie! Thanksgiving and Pumpkin Pie with Cool Whip!!! Yeah, that's a good one

I like the 'crispyness' of the air in fall. And how it seems as though you can hear much further away. I also like the smell of the leaves turning, and the sound of 'em russling and crunching when you walk trough the woods with a special someone. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
