Hello all. I'm looking at the Suunto Alti watches and was wondering which would be the all-around best model for skydiving purposes. With Alti functions are The Advisor, the Altimax, the Observer, the S6, the X-lander and the Vector. The Observer has got some funky different face colours. Seems the "white face" whould be easier to read in freefall but the face is smaller on this model. The S6 is all geared up to be used with logbook software for skiing. Anyone know if this tracks info in freefall at all? This model is sensitive to 3ft increments. The Vector seems pretty popular among skydivers. I've seen a number of them. However the newer X-lander is pretty much the same thing but built with carbon fiber and a crystal face for extra durability. Anyhoo, if anyone has any pointers or suggestions about the different features of these different models, or even just which ones are easiest to read, please chime in. As it stands, I'm thinking the X-lander is the best bet. What with it having the larger of the two face-sizes and having the added durability. Thanks, Nick My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I went to college in a small northern town... small being the operative word. For two whole years of my stay there, nearly each time I went out to the bar (or at least any time we were dancing) Someone would request that song and dedicate it to me. It didn't take long before (being that there were only like 2 clubs you could expect to find a crowd in) when the DJ came on to say "I have a special song request...." I'd have everyone around me going "Oooooooo" and pointing at me. To this day, I don't know who it was. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Put a next checkmark by Junior Mints for me. They're my favorite for the shows. For some reason I always by them at the theatre but never anywhere else. Toss a few into your popcorn while it's still hot and shake it aournd... yum

I hear people say put more drag on the upper body then the legs for learning sit. It will help you remain upright. I've spent the last two seasons in a pair of nylon/polly pants and a Fox shirt. They provide uniform, but very little drag. I think learning stable body positions and moving around with very little drag was key as towards the end of this past season I started wearing a bit of a bigger suit and feel solid like a rock when I want stability and like I've got jet-rockets on each time I move around. Learn to fly in a T-shirt and shorts. Then see what you can do with a suit on. That's my $0.02CND My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Not sure about that. You don't need to know how to change your oil to get your drivers licence but you should know how to pack a parachute before you obtain your skydive licence. You are putting your cars life in the mechanics hands to a certain degree when you allow them to change the oil for you. You are putting your life in the packers hands to a certain degree when you allow them to pack for you. Most importantly, if the oil change sucked and your car pisses out it's crude on the highway, you get a warning light and you pull over... no such luck with the packers mistakes... you gotsta deal with 'em in real time. Not critisising those that use packers (I pack for myself), but peeps with many jumps that don't know how to pack... laughable. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

My advice for when you take this one online: be patient... it's gonna take a dogs age to get used to moving around and the flow of gameplay. It'll be very frustrating at first but well worth the effort once you get the hang of it. I know the same can be said about any game... but you'll see what I'm talking about. Oh yeah, and if you're playing by yourself (random games, no friends), don't let people team up on you and make you be the mercenary all the time. lol My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
