Well that's certainly nice to hear, thanks for sharing. ... Now if only we can get them to write about us without the "death-wish" connotation... Hope you had fun at Bridge day! Nick My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Hey Weege! Ah, ... strange to see someone rant about the "Did you keep your handles?" being asked. I seriously doubt this question is truly ever asked before "Are you alright?" and "What happened?" or "What was it?" (malfuction) I had my pre-second chop this year and you know what? It wasn't until the DZO shouted (in front of ALL to boot) "Hey Nick! Did you keep your handles?" that I realised I hadn't. lol... I was like: ".... uh, OH!... D'oh! Look Ma! No handles!" It was good for a laugh... but it made me realise what the cutaway had done to me mentally. I really hadn't even thought about those handles until after he asked... And I had already discussed the malfunction and cutaway with over a half dozen people on my way to get my gear off. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Whicked-good question! If the break lines were radically too short.... wouldn't your canopy look like the first pic? And if your breake lines were radically too short AND stowed AND you pulled down on your front risers, wouldn't your canopy look like the second pic? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

That was my first impression... Could maybe the Bridle be wraped around a couple of the centre-front lines? That would explain the tension on them (or lack of tension on the centre lines from the middle back) and also the fact that the pilot chute is so close in the second shot. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

The post says he cut away at 3500ft. Ah, yeah, looks like a lineover... but there is no line over [scratches head] One thing I note in the second pic is how closely the pilot chute is following the tail edge of the canopy... But that doesn't say much to me other than something isn't right. Of course, the fact that the canopy is near folded in half tells me that too. hmmm. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Hello all, Any photoshop pros out there have the time to help a brother clean up a couple frame grabs? I've recorded some of my mothers first tandem onto my Sony PC and have taken some shots from it. I'd like to get one decent enough for her to have printed. I don't have any photo editing software. I've read about getting rid of the 'fuzzyness' by removing odd or even fields... "huh" I just don't want me mum to be so blurry! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Naw, he's saying when you're examining the 3 ring system... the cables are out of the rig. Hold 'em taught and measure 'em that way so there's no confusion. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Welcome to the sky! I know just what you're talking about. I remember the very first time I saw clouds in the air showing me just how fast I was hummin'. Is it ever a sight to see. Trust it. There will be PLENTY of new beautiful images/visuals for ya to air-gasm for. First sunset, First time through a cloud, First night jump, First BIGWAY (lots of bodies in the air is a big Woa!), First High Hop and Pop (do it sometime when there are Big fluffy clouds) ... The list goes on and on... not to mention the number of times you're on an "ordinary fun jump" and for one or two seconds you take in your surroundings, realise just how beautiful they are, combine it with the fact that you'll never see them just like this again... that nobody will ever be privy to the sight you just saw... It's great to be a skydiver My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Yup! Must have been the crack! ha-ha. Watched it again last night. A next funny part I hadn't noticed before last night: After the Brothers first encounter with Il Duce, when agent Smecker is peicing it together... he says they came out of the house to find 6 men with guns drawn (Actually only the duke with 6 guns)... The one detective (who's been wrong time and time again... getting coffee and bagels for Smecker as a result) says "Hey maybe it was just one guy with 6 guns." .."Why don't you leave the thinking up to me will ya?" lol, the ONE time he was right! ha-hal My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

That pesky Chicken must have been runnin' around like a dick with it's head cut off My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

You're right, and Aggie had mentioned that in my thread. But I'm quite positive that in the final scene (in the courthouse) when the three of them have a gun pointed at the back of that dudes head, and they say the prayor together, that they show the three triger-hands and that the father has a latin word tattoed in the same spot as his sons. There's a whole trinity effect to it as they pan the camera to show Veritas... Aequitas... and ... blank? Am I smoking crack? Can someone who owns it fast forward to that last scene and see if I'm just dreaming? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

What's up Slappie? Funny, I started a thread last week about this movie. Looking for a trivia answer. Great flick... Know how the brothers have Veritas & Aequitas (truth & equality/justice) tattooed on their hands? Would you now know what's tattooed on the fathers hand and what it means? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

It's set at 1500ft. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Am I to understand that your planned course of action was to fire the reserve into the snivelling main? Rich! I've never heard of a 1500ft snivel. It's been my planned course of action to fire a reserve into a high-speed mal should I find myself -stoopidly- still under it at the third tone. I think at that point, "more fabric out" takes precedence over a clean reserve deployment... because I don't think there's enough time for a mini-freefall (rsl, skyhook or no) Here here. I'm loving this thread though. There is still much to be said for mental preparation and I'm sure it's got many a jumper 'rehearsing' My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
-
But neither of those two cases are what you had supposedly practiced for. And neither of those cases would warant the reserve being deployed. Case one, "right as I was pulling my main", you've not practiced halting your main deployment because of the tone and going for silver.. you've practiced going to silver at the tone. Obviously you're in a different situation if you've already got a hand on the hackey and the third tone starts then you are in if you're just simply still falling, unaware, and hear the tone. Case two, "still under a snivelling main", you've not practiced deploying a reserve because your main snivel takes you below the tone. You've practiced deploying a reserve because there is no canopy and you hear the tone. Agreed with the better off bit... But I'm still quite conviced that if I find myself listening to the third tone and I'm still in freefall (like an idiot), I will go straight to silver. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Aggie! I knew you'd show up here. Wasn't there also a Latin Word tattooed on the fathers hand? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I know. I did a buttload of searchin' before I posted. Amazing to find that some things can't be found on the net. Sequel huh? That's pretty cool. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Hit yourself on the baby toe with a hammer... that'll have you forgetting all about the throat pain My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

BEER! lol. Yeah, it is indeed an excellent flick. One of my favorites. But I'm sitting here scratchin' my head, trying to remember that third tat. What a pain in the neck. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I know that silly. That's in my post. The question is: What did the father have tattooed on his hand. And what does it mean? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

hmm...I am good hmm...Well, people seem to laugh at me all the time. hmm.. lucky-me you've got two "me"s to look at. See pics, you be the judge. Ahh come on! I'll wear a collar and leash if you like. Say the words! You can even call me "Bad Boy!" and have me crawl away, tail between my legs when I chew on the furniture.
