Not quite what you are looking for but here is a repost of a Jan Meyer article on the "hole" for those who haven't seen it. http://www.makeithappen.com/spsj/fallout.html "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

I just went back and re-read some older threads (more for my own edification than anything) and they all say that at some point PISA upsized the slider on the Hornets. So whether his will smack him with the stock slider or not depends on when he got it. Like I said, I had a late model, I think the last year they were made, and did not have any problems. I did not stuff the nose. I sometimes had to use rear risers to get the slider all the way down. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Right you are. Just to play devil's advocate, though, the current ruling indicates that the ruling manufacturer's instructions, including life limits, are those in place at the time the unit is sold. So if you bought a unit and have a manual that does not have a life limit stated, you should be good to go as far as the FAA is concerned. Good luck finding a rigger to pack that. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

My understanding is that only the early production batch of Hornets opened hard. They put a bigger slider on, changed the trim, or something on the later models. Anyway, I put 200 jumps on mine and just did a normal pro-pack. The openings were positive but not hard. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

?? aluminum can recycling is one of the easiest out there. Much more so than plastic. Yes, and about 31% of the aluminum produced in the US is from recycled sources. The rest is still produced from bauxite. Still tremendously expensive in terms of energy usage and with some deleterious environmental effects. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Whoops, already discussed. Need to read through the thread before responding. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Why would we forget about defense? Defense is also one of the big dogs. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

You do know that King James was, quite openly, a homosexual, don't you? and a pedophile "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Don't know about toxic but al is extremely difficult and energy intensive to refine and use. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Anyway, if we can move this back from philosophical debate about third parties in general [My mind is made up on that one, I will be voting for a third party candidate] Is anybody considering Virgil Goode? He is one of the choices on my ballot. I know a little about his background. He served in the state legislature as a democrat [the dixiecrat or blue dog variety], then was elected to Congress as a democrat before flipping to be a republican. He is from Franklin County, VA (Moonshine capitol of the World, or so a sign at the county border read while I was growing up). I don't know too much about his current platform. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Yes, and as a large part of that effort both the democratic and republican parties use taxpayer funding to run their primaries and to pay for their conventions, both classic exercises in party building. Political parties are private entities, they should have to pay their own freight and not be able to build brand awareness with taxpayer dollars. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

I had a 2005 Hornet, so they were still being made then. They are tapered on the ends. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Does your DZ try to guilt you if you have a cutaway?

exactly so don't need to change the way I close mine...but I pack for others so will look to close this way if they are OK with it. thanks Brian excellent post as usual. I pack for others as well, including rental and student gear. I personally use the Germain method for packing my pilot chute. I have packed the bridal both out the top and out the bottom. I try to remember to ask, as I will pack any way the customer wants, but it is a little confusing to be switching back and forth a lot. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -
I'm frequently a third party voter, which means that a lot of people would tell you that I have wasted my vote. Strangely I have never felt that way. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

Odd how they find someone with strong religious beliefs as extreme but view murdering millions of babies as perfectly normal. Who is they and why are you throwing abortion into the conversation? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -

I don't know, I am not even sure what kind of a physician he is, as I don't believe the article said [or I missed it]. I personally would not want to go to a physician who believed what he had been taught about embryology is a lie. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -

Hmm, a medical doctor who doesn't believe in embryology and a congressman who doesn't believe in evolution or the Big Bangand yet sits on the Space, Science and Technology committee. "God's word is true," Broun said, according to a video posted on the church's website. "I've come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell. And it's lies to try to keep me and all the folks who are taught that from understanding that they need a savior." Broun spokeswoman Meredith Griffanti told the Athens Banner-Herald (http://bit.ly/Us4O0Z ) that Broun was recorded speaking off-the-record to a church group about his religious beliefs. He sits on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -

Which manufacturer's have recommended routing the bridle out the bottom? For those, it is the recommendation or is it an alternative approved method? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" -

Roseanne Barr is the nominee of the Peace and Freedom party. They didn't make the ballet in VA (which has pretty strict ballet access laws). I would not vote for her anyway. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

If you are among those who can't stomach voting for either Obama or Romney, who are you considering voting for and why? I have not decided who I am voting for. Here in Virginia I believe our ballot includes the following candidates: Gary Johnson--libertarian party Virgil Goode--Constitution Party Jill Stein--Green Party I believe that is all, but it is disturbingly hard to even get that information. Anyway, feel free to discuss other candidates as well. I see my choice coming down to one of those three. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"

I admit I haven't watched the New Hour in years. I did used to watch it. I just don't watch much TV news in general. Anyway, it is hard for me to believe it is less commercially viable than a large part of the news shows that are on cable television, although I admit I haven't done any sort of market research. I do enjoy the sorts of news programs on NPR. PRI produces a fair amount of content very similar to what NPR produces in house and does not directly get any public subsidy (although a good bit of their financing comes from program fees which are government subsidized, so it is indirectly supported). I don't think long form news necessarily means it isn't commercially viable. Anyway, there is a model for radio that is listener supported in Christian Radio. A lot of them depend on user contributions and fund raising and they seem to be doing just fine. I don't listen to them but I am not forced to subsidize them either. I personally am against funding for public broadcasting. I just don't think it is needed. The worthwhile shows are commercially viable (not just Sesame Street, but also the New Hour, Nightly Business Report, Car Talk, Prairie Home Companion and others). The ones that aren't commercially viable (and that is a very small proportion) could go away and nobody would miss it. Anyway, the idea that Romney is serious about deficit reduction because he wants to cut funding for PBS and Amtrak is laughable. Combined they are not even a rounding error and there is no way to seriously attack the deficit without reducing Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and Defense.
