the huge adrenal hit is normal and will taper off the more you do it, I would recommend multiple jumps per day, you might find that the 2nd and 3rd jumps in the day you are much calmer. sounds like you had a lot of fun with a slight oops, I hope you keep the fun in mind and not the dropping the bike - it happens. In over 35 yrs of riding I have learned that.. there are three types of riders in this world - those that have crashed - those that will crash - those that have and will do it again. same situation, otter load with one tandem, all the rest were two or three way freefly. we were the first stick, opened the door and didnt see anything that looked familiar - everyone was yelling go go go!! we decided to back against the opposite wall and let the lemmings go first since nothing looked right, once they were gone we got back into the door and found the dz way the fuck out in front of the airplane, sat in the door for nearly a minute before exiting right over the dz, we were the only three to land on the dropzone. stupid is as stupid does. actually its only been 1.5yrs since the last jump I made, been longer since the davenport days though, found my rig, cant find the jumpsuits/helmets, etc though, still looking - moving twice has taken its toll on my pretty much non-existant organizational skills... yeah, I still cant drink much, something about getting a migraine before even getting a buzz that kills the fun Pfffff !!! pile of junk?? it fires right up, drives nice, gets 15 miles to the gallon, sleeps four in comfort and still looks halfway decent on the exterior once its clean (inside does need new paneling and carpet.. and a drivers seat (fuckin dog ate part of it) pile of junk indeed...... fucker see ya tomorrow, will be there between 3-5 pm Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... Ok, simple problem here, my step brother has a loan and medical bills that are in collection, and put my number down as a contact in addition to his cell number and he wont answer the cell, these people will not stop calling me even though I have repeatedly told them that he doesnt and hasnt ever lived here and he had no permission to give them my number. The local calls have been blocked, but I cannot find a way to block the out of the area calls. Help help help can I force them to cease and desist by mailing them a certified letter - cuz telling them on the phone to stop hasnt worked Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... Few years ago I jumped a dzo's with the mindset of "oh crap this things gonna suck balls" since it was nearly twice the size of my normal ride, however I found it to be a sweet opening and fun (if docile ride) good canopys *(got 3 jumps on it that day) so I do have limited experience with them Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it. -
You both absolutely ROCK, and neither of you should ever have to buy beer again when Jim is on the DZ Jim's a good guy and I cannot think of a single person who isnt thankfull you guys were there. if its your worried that the questions you will ask are dumb, dont worry. the only dumb questions are the questions that are not asked - be a sponge and soak up all the info that you can get, just make sure that your getting it from an instructor or someone qualified to answer the Q's after hours buy a case of beer, sit and have a bs/what if session with them, you can learn a ton and have alot of fun doing it.
