I had a 15' cable for my dog and the neighbors started complaining that he was barking alot while I was at work. One saturday I noticed this cat sitting right outside his reach calmly grooming itself while he went nutz. since it was an old cable and time to replace it I got him a 20' then hooked him up and within 15 minutes here come the cat... the cat walked up to his spot and sat down, Turbo took off at a dead run and hit the expected spot and kinda hunched up expecting the cable to snap him back... the cat thought that was what was going to happen too, he plowed into the cat at full force with his chest then flipped once, the cat went flying into the bushes yowling for all it was worth and It never came back. still makes me laugh when I think about it

I was told yesterday that playing old school pencil and paper role playing games, like Dungeons and Dragons, is stupid. *** playing it old school makes you use your mind to see what your character is seeing, a skilled dm can put those pictures in your head, a computer game doesnt allow you to exercise your imagination at all. evidence, no - my own experience yes. cant find my log books, have moved too many times and although I am sure they are here somewhere (in boxes still) cant find them. somewhere around 300-400 jumps I had a baglock/ streamer combo - the last stow did not release, and only part of the canopy got out of the d-bag, it gave me line stretch and threw me around like you wouldnt believe... Nothing was out of place when we examined the canopy and bag other than the final stow was still in place... nothing was interfering with it, but it was still stowed as we picked it up the stow fell out. only thing we came up with was that something got in the stow while there was tension on it and once the tension was released it fell out, what it was we have no idea, I switched to rubber bands at that time. on a side note it also set up one of the funniest conversations I have ever experienced: I had 9 students doing static line jumps from the westside, huskys are their mascot - big football star types doing a frat pledge - the convo as I entered the dz shack : big studly guy -> with a smirk -->"you pack that?" Me, skinny instructor ---> "yup, and I prolly packed yours too" - the look on his face still makes me smile

Like the title says, can you be open minded? I got into a religious discussion with a friend of mine who is a very devout christian, it was a good thought provoking hour long discussion with him on the side of god, me on the side of evolution. Neither of us is an expert on the subject, however he is probably more informed on his point of view than I am on mine as he has studied the bible far more than I have the evidence in support of evolution. He never once said my belief was stupid or misinformed and I also avoided using any pointed attacks on his faith (*we are good friends) We basically agreed to disagree, but we both enjoyed the points and counterpoints over lunch at olive garden - nothing was really achieved but I am sure the people around us were quite amused and or irritated by one of our points of view. can you personally have a discussion with the opposing viewpoint without becoming upset or enraged with them? I am a floaty bitch - and I freely admit it. I have had too much damage to my spine over the years to arch really well. before this last weekend I have always used a weight vest - sometimes with up to 30lbs in it and the strain on your neck from a full days jumping is terrible. this last weekend I used a weight belt while doing relative work - it gave me the ability to match fall rates and was quite impressed with the comfort of it. freefly - get a baggy suit, rw - get a belt.
