everyone should really go see it.. Dali was a genius.. but some of his work is FAR less impressive in person.. Persistence of Memory for example is smaller in life than many pages its printed on in Art Books.. 9 1/2 x 13 in most prints are at least 36x24. The other caveat is alot of his work more famous pieces do not belong to them.. but are in Spain or on tour elsewhere. To really 'get' Dali you need to examine his entire body of work. in many ways he was one of the earliest 'performance artists' every thing he did was part of his art ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

SOME will still rent to you.. but you get charged ALOT more than someone 25 or older in most cases.. it has more to do with insurance statistics than any sense of 'maturity' I agree.. 21 for alcohol is a HUGE part of why America has so many drinking problems.. get used to it early and the 'fascination' with being completely shitfaced wears off rather quickly.. I did some bandit rappeling in college with some buddies and some drugs. I got my shirt stuck in the figure 8 about six stories up, and a buddy got his thrash metal long hair stuck in it about 10 inches from the ground. I ripped my shirt to clear the rope. The other guy cried like a baby while someone went for some scissors. Either way, naked is not an option when rappeling. we must know the same people.. a friend lost half nipple to rope burn while 'trust falling' shirtless and we had to cut a chick out about 40 feet up when she suddenly decided to try the 'invert' i'd been doing all day :( my hair was braided.. hers was not we had to cut a good chunk out with a knife... not pretty naked? nope. noway. never. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

the problem there is they(xtians) didnt do it willingly either... Society slowly secularized largely because the various monarchs got really tired of listening to the Pope/dealing with Religious challenges to their authority and through the slow 'osmosis ' of of science into the populace. Science that illustrated to a wider and wider audience that most of the "Truths" claimed as the 'sole providence of Religion' had little truth to them... it will take just as long for the 'average' 3rd world tribal Islamist to come around, and they have active radicals working against it. Radicals who are well aware of the dangers of "Western Societies Demonic (Secular) Influences" will have on their ability to sway opinions and recruit suicide bombers and so do everything they can to prevent it. All the while using the modern methods they prohibit their general populace to maintain communications and control over their largely ignorant followers. Open Warfare was not the way to solve this issue.. it has only gained them recruits, wasted american lives and created a power vacuum no western power will be able to 'fill' without continuing escalating violence, because they will always be seen as the "occupiers" but the general populace..... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

From a very informative .ppt it has been my honor to share with any skydiver who had issues understanding exit separation.... and most importantly to this issue.... Entirely accurate... and entirely why the decision on how to deal with Landing separation issues needs to be ENTIRELY in the hands of each individual DZO, who is in the best position develop a plan that will work for their unique circumstances. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

without references you'd be suprised how much you can inadvertantly 'travel' Skydivers make many continous adjustments to stay 'down the tube' alot of them are semi concious once youve been jumping a while.. without ANY reference you could be seriously backsliding (for example) and be largely unaware of how much ground youve covered.. that could result in you accidently 'joining someone elses dive' without anyone being aware/happy about it.. there are a few good videos on skydivingmovies.com where the whole group goes in and when they clear the coulds........ everyone is suddenly very far from where they were relatively without anyone 'intending' to change anything about their position.... (you wouldnt want to make any drastic transitions intentionally when you've no idea where the rest of your dive is) ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

a couple of times... I would occasionally get that kind of 'smash' with 'new' fecing shoes (which are as tight as can be comfortablly managed generally so as not to waste motion) I'd just returned from a fencing tournament and after weeked of fencing when i took my shoes off my big toe was HUGE.. a few hours later it was obvious the nail was going to come off no matter what and something needed to be done to releive the pressure.. so i headed over to the Emergency room to have it done properly and perhaps get it xrayed to make sure it wasnt fractured (had happened before) guess what? no emergency room open...go to a local hospital sit for 8+ hours and file a ton of TRICARE paper work... fuck that... so I went back, grabbed a medic in the barracks and did it ourselves.. Toe nails are ALOT thicker than finger nails, so he's slowly turning the pin applying (rather light) pressure and suddenly it breaks thru, a nice spout of Blood (my toe was about 3x normal size at this point) and a scream of pain from me... a hot skewer to the nailbed REALLY FKN hurts... in fact i think the memory of that still hurts more than that of femuring.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

I should specify the difference, as I draw a sharp distinction between 'casual friendships' aka acquaintance and True Friendship. an acquaintance no way.. but a True Friend, those i can count on for anything. again.. no question. depends.. i voted replace the failed parts but... do you expect the same work load as the old truck took? What are the chances of something else major failing on the old truck that might be covered by warrantee on a new? Do you like doing all the work to replace the rear end and engine? You have to factor your labor into the cost even if you arent 'paying yourself'. Then attempt to figure how much time 'out' you will have if/when something else fails and you have to replace it. You (should) get better mileage out of a new one so that should factor into reduced cost over the long term. basically in my view its 1.Keep old truck and eat the additional costs and labor when it breaks again. 2. Get new truck and eat the purchase costs but have the dealer cover future maintenance while the warrantee is good. so which do you prefer? giving up money now or time later? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
