    It's not blasphemy - it's strong truth.     if you want the loading there is always the meat and potatoes option available to everyone I'd never considered this entire question before.. and while it is only an issue for the very upper tiers it is along the exact same reasons i dont care for NASCAR... how much of it (at that level) is the pilot and how much of it is the wing?? I'd LOVE to watch an 'issue you your canopy' comp.. where everyone flies the EXACT same wing at their preferred wingloading... just to see how 'level' the playing field can be... ofc for freestyle perhaps that doesnt make so much sense... but the fewer variables between competitors, the better the competition IMO... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

    Excellent job at furthering the discussion. pretending your invisible friend made a "sacrifice" (and i've stated exactly how silly it is to believe that anyone who 'controls the entire game' can 'sacrifice' simply by 'playing it' for a while before returning to divinity) for you is in no way comparable to watching your ACTUAL friend's life slip away after he pushed you out of the way and got hit himself... even suggesting they are equatable is both arrogant, offensive and completely mistakes what the word 'sacrifice' actually means... let us assume for the discussion that the Christian Mythos is correct.. what exactly did Jesus/God lose for the sake of all your souls??? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

    Kind of like all those people who think those Americans, who already pay the lion's share of taxes, should pay more. Except there is one major difference. Individual soldiers voluntarily join the armed forces. Individual taxpayers don't really have a choice. I love this new story line they have. Don't mean shit but it makes them feel better that they have some kind of response new line? this isnt a new line.. America isnt at war.. YOU are not at war (deployed yet?)     Call it what ever you want. We did and are doing the right thing being over there. It is, despite you assurtions, the correct thing to be doing IMO I love this.. its amazing how many people are willing to do the 'correct' thing... as long as it isnt THEIR life that is on the line for it... far to many people use the 'royal we' yet they themselves have never, will never touch Iraqi sand.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

    I haven't read the thread refered to above. In the old Testament, we were to be punished for our sin. In the New Testament, Jesus died for our sins, therefore taking our punishment. Through Christ we are washed clean. Whether you're a Christian or not, just think about it - has anyone ever loved you so much that they would die for you? Yes, and before he did I could actually touch and talk to him, as could anyone else. No belief, faith or mysticism required. If the only person who loves you enough to put their life in front of your own is your invisible friend i feel very sorry for you.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

    We were never close, but i considered him a friend and an inspiration. The man was truly a living legend with a personality that drew even the 'lurkers' like me out of the shadows and into the party. That someone who appeared so firm, fixed and solid 'cracked' frightens me still, forcing me question many things i thought stable and immutable.     Quizno's sucks now.. last year sometime they got bought out by a "pepsi" affiliate and their entire menu and food suppliers changed... its no where near as good as it used to be... and i used to be a 4 times a week visitor in WA.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

    totally agree.. if there is one thing that is easy to get addicted to it is a 'standard of living'.... somehow i managed to live as a part time flooring installer/rockclimber for 3 years living out of our trucks with a few like minded friends.. It was some of the best moments of my life, and yet i have an amazingly hard time when i think about returning to something like it.... all the little toys.. the perks of being able to jump/play/buy pretty much whatever i desire at the time is hard to give up... after all i'm not REALLY that unhappy am i???? guess it depends on which day it is... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

If anyone is afraid to air their beliefs or doubts of said beliefs for fear of them being undermined by simple critique then said beliefs cannot be very strong or very persuasive.
