  3. Hey would be cool to see who is inside Happy Hour from the outside, can it be done? a window outside in the Pub that says: "dropzone.commers inside Happy Hour: drenaline, etc. etc." or something like that. Almost all the time I go in, there is only the bot, would be cool to know who is inside before going in. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
  4. Happiest 5hr drive you have ever had huh? I bet it was a Huge big smile all the way home.
  5. HH you have my vote. Would be a great addition and feedback for instructors and all skydivers to know. Maybe if there are no names and only mention the fatality and how it could of been prevented, something like the incident reports that have the parachutist, it would be ok with the lawyers. 6. WOOHOO!!!! SKY!!! Congrats on that license!! Hey remember to buy that beer, gives bad luck not to buy.
  7. Here is something to get people started: Here are some spanish for the non speakers. If you go to a spanish speaking dropzone and you want to jump, go to the manifest lady and tell her this: Quiero tener relaciones sexuales y salvajes con usted = I would like to skydive (sexuales in spanish is not sex) Quitese la ropa = When is my jump? Usted no sirve! = You are the best! Donde queda el burdel? = where is my room? Usted es una puta bien bonita, gracias = you are a nice lady, thanks. If a cop comes near you after this, don't worry just tell him this: Mierdon no me molestes, esto es un secuestro = Officer how are you? this is a fine place. After the cop takes you to a tour and shows you how he puts the criminals in jail, and lets you talk to them, you can tell them: Hola soy homosexual, acerquense = I am not gay, get away. Before you use this sentences, ask monkeyman to explain them a lil bit, so you know at what tone of voice you should tell them or if you want to add something, but I think its perfect like that. Hope it helps. Disclaimer: Use it under your own risk, you might and will get in jail if you say that, and in jail you might and will get something you wouldn't like. Had to write the disclaimer, dunno how many of you would of done it. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

  14. It felt so great that I need to share it with others. Yesterday made a 2-way with my coach, practiced some stuff, it was great! Formation was a compressed accordion, switching from left wrist to right wrist, with downward docking after each point. 11.5K fts. count started "HUT! READY, SET GO!!!" coach went out, I waited 1/2 -1 sec as instructed, then I made an almost perfect dive exit, the chase started, legs extended, arched to go down, eye contact all the way, getting closer, 90° right turn, side slide to the left, grabbed his right wrist, Perfect! got a thumbs up from him. Time to switch grip, made a side slide with a 180° turn so I could be in the compress accordion with his left wrist, perfect another thumbs up. I let him go and down he went, I arched more and followed, going to fast! but no, I stoped!(he was surprised he didn't knew I had the skills to stop), grabed the left wrist controlling my levels, saw a smile and another thumbs up. Time to grab the rigth wrist, done, perfect, he arched again and went down with a back slide, I arched and side slide to the left grabed the wrist, another smile, time to switch grips one more time, he went up!! I got away, I went a lil up and then he came down, I slide and grabbed the grip (left wrist), one last double thumbs up! perfect! Break Off! he waved good bye (4k fts), turn in point 180° from center of formation and started the track, Damn I got nervous made something horrible, wait calm, legs down, shoulders down, bring the arms to the sides and back, YES! track 3sec. look up, clear, wave off and WOOHOO!!!! it opened!!! (the snivels finnished at 2.2k), WHAT?!? bad spot! collapse slider and fly to the point, 3 legs entry, 2 stage flare, stand up landing! YES! distance to target 5m (1 month without jumping and a lot of time since my last formation, about 2 months). 6 Points for my third 2-way from 11.5k to 4k fts, the first was a front slide practice 2-way with a coach, and the second was the A license check dive. What you think? is it good or bad? "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
  15. Don't worry! you are almost complete, happened to me too, I kept puting on the rig (without the main) and praticed my stuff on the creeper, it was fun. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
  16. Call me stupid but I think am the only one that doesn't knows what is 0:0:0. Today (sunday, jumpdays) made 1 jump with coach, RW 2-way, first time doing side slides and chasing, he got out of the plane first I had to dive and chase him, did a compressed accordion I switched from his left wrist to his right wrist, the coach went down each time I switched wrist so made some downward docking, in one he went high so I followed him up and docked, in the break off I got a lousy track (going down and really bad) at first but then a good straight horizontal track, made 6 points in 46 secs. Can't wait for next sunday! "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
  17. Congrats! now wait until you get to 12k and get lotsa lotsa air! "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
  18. Cool camera, great Corvette poster, can I PM you with my mailing address so you can send it to me for free?
  19. Thanks for the additions HH. Hey HH ernokaikkonen posted on the forumgear the translation of the protrack in Finnish http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forums/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=forumgear&Number=159632&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&part= "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
  20. Big foot truck! that'll be a nice car. Imagine this: "Can't find parking space? no problem I think that if I put my left wheels on top of the toyota and my right wheels on top of the honda it will be perfect! yeap like a glove." "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
  21. Are you sure? I don't mind, haven't had a girl for a year now, I would sure love one of those right about now. I drive a Chevrolet S-10 double cabin pickup 4X4, any chicks interested in something casual? I have a feeling I have a anti-ladies car... "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
  22. Thanks for all the input on the subject, I guess I have much to learn and much to practice. Today I tried the 2 stage flare and got it almost right (didn't biff, got a stand up), got bad coordination with my hands and pulled a toggle more than the other. I was flying really fast today and was really far from the spot so couldn't practice up high (always like to do that). What is flare turns? and how the canopy reacts? I know how to do brake turns but not flared turns. I jump a Spectre 150 with a wingload of 1.2 to 1.26 (depends on how many weights and if I ate breakfast and how late I ate dinner the night before). Today I was 1.26. I got heavier after I bought it, big mistake. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
  23. I keep reading post saying that the final flare is not pulling both toggles all the way down like they teach you in the first jump course. If that so, can you tell me how the flare must be done and can you explain how the flare turn is done and how the canopy reacts (dives, doesn't dives, it turns flat, etc.). And if you have some advice or hints on how to fly a Spectre, I would really appreciate it. Please make all the answer as simple as possible so I can understand them. Thanks. 24. Fighting or in a beauty contest? My vote is on the pit bull.
