Am kind of confused, what's the difference between the kill line, bungee and collapsible? I have seen the kill line and the bungee but I dunno what is the difference in performance, only thing I know is that they are made different. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

Dunno if it's the same but I got excimer laser (bye bye glasses) and 4 days later (1-operation day, 2-resting day and a lil outdoor party at night, 3-outdoor party day and night, 4-jump day) I made 3 jumps. Make sure you have your dark glasses EVERYTIME. Jump with black lens goggles and please be very carefull with your eyes. Oh yeah remember your eye drops and have your fake tears at hand. Explain to your doctor about the goggles and how they "don't" seal your eyes like a scuba diving mask (or show it to him) and that it gives your eyes protection to the wind, dust blah blah blah and they are tinted or black. The doc did told me 3 months but for scuba diving. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

Cool game. 1) Skydiver -- gotta love it 2) Scuba Diver -- another thing outside of the mean world 3) Extreme Adventurer -- love doing something new in the outdoors, new sports (extreme please), explore caves, walk in the woods, etc. 4) Instructor or teacher -- (scuba diving, hope in a future to be an AFF instructor, physics (electricity, calculus etc.), etc..) If I like something I teach it or I learn how to teach it so I can make others see the things I like and why I like it. 5) Friend & Truth -- If you need my help I will always be there, am a friend you can trust. Truth might be a 6 but gonna link it to the number 5, gotta follow the rules. I hate lies. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

Thats why 7 cell zp canopies for first canopy are a good choice for me, you can find them in very good condition for low prices. Me have no money, always thinking cheap. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

You can also search for a 7-cell ZP. Nice openings. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

Skydivers should always remember to make the check of threes before entering the aircraft. Check three-ring release, three points of harness attachment and the three operation handles. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

Congrats on the A, got mine a month ago. Packing new ZP is a bitch! packed my almost new ZP for 17 jumps and then packed an old F111, felt so weird, it didn't inflate and so easy to handle, it was heaven. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

Practice emergency drills, get an AAD installed, relax. For people doing S/L, do a 7 thousand count (or 7 mississipi), look up, see anything? if answer is "no", go to red and silver; if answer is "yes", check out for problems. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

Blue Skies John. Condolences for Family and friends. Just wanted to add that always get a final check outside the plane before getting in and remember to set the AAD at the correct 0 altitude, altimeter to 0 and always locate your handles before jumping. Don't really know how, but it must be fun, something that will leave others talking for years. At what age? I really don't care, maybe when my dad and mom are not around to see. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

My opinion on choosing a rigger is to look at his card and see if he is FAA certificate in current status. I agree with all the reasons you said, except for the reason number one and the one that says "this guy has been in the sport for a long time." I think that if he managed to get the FAA rigger certification and keeps current is enough experience for me (just my point of view). I agree with you 100% on the reason 5 "he cares", I think that a rigger that cares about "looks" is a very good one, cause he is proud of his work and likes what he's doing. My rigger does the same with the looking good thing. Oh yeah and reading another post I read that you should always use the same rigger because he knows your equipment history or something like that. Damn english! can't seem to get it right, am a spanish speaker, on the other post I said "breed". Yep you can imagine the laugh after another skydiver told me about it. Thanx for the correction, I'll try and remember it. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

Sure you want to jump, you are a skydiver, you just need to feel the fun, freedom, adrenaline and drink the beers again. It happened to me last week I had 3 weeks without jumping, as soon as I got into the plane all my fears left me. If you are not so sure about your emergency procedures, you should practice in the practice harness some red and silver pulls, and you should review canopy emergency procedures and how to recognize problems (i.e. line twist, streamer, broken lines, horse show, etc...). Remember your 3 legs entry, downwind, base and final, and you shall be ok. Land into the wind. >>I am so disappointed in myself, it makes me want to cry in frustration. I thought I had gotten the fear handled, or at least controlled. Not hardly.

School is the best, been in the uni for 3 years now and I miss my school days, I wanna go back to school, when things were easy and fun. Uni is not so hard but am too lazy to study. DZ.com forums are much more fun than electromagnetic fields. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

GREAT addition, thank you very much! I think you need to add the link in the gear section, I can't find the link. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline

Depending on altitude I would practice some rear riser control (after cutting the other line) if no good or confident enough with the flare, I would go for the red and silver. "Life is full of danger, so why be afraid?" drenaline
