  1. The girl on the right was in the previous months magazine as well (one of the center shots - some1 foot docking her in a sit). Same terrified forced smile in that shot too. I distinctly remember it from the first time I saw the pic and then she turned up on the June cover with the same expression. Weird. Blues Performance Designs Factory Team
  2. Was he truthful on his application? If he lied there's no way they'd be able to know unless he answered the questions in a suspect manner and they decided to call the DZO or S&TA. I'm definately not saying you're lying, but I have a hard time believing PD would send a jumper a stiletto if they knew the jumper was around the 100 jump mark. I've known them to call on "suspect" demo requests. EDIT: Also are you sure it's on the way? Just because he filled in the request doesn't mean they'll send it if they feel it's inappropriate. 3. Call PD and tell them your jump info. See if they'd sell you a Stiletto 150, that'll give you your answer. Just cause it isn't the hottest swoop machine on the market anymore doesn't mean it doesn't deserve some serious respect. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Almost 100% of the time attributed to harness input (i.e body position during inflation). This can easily be controlled by the harness throughout the deployment. Scott Miller had a great technique to prevent jumpers "favoring a side" and causing this kind of opening. Try putting your feet together evenly once upright throughout the entire deployment. 5. True, and the PST does have a requirement (even if it can be waived). ------------------------------------------ 2. QUALIFICATIONS, POINTS, RANKING 2.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Participants must have at least 300 high performance landings and a minimum of 100 high performance landings within the previous twelve months prior to any PST competition or event. This prerequisite may be waived at the discretion of the PST. ------------------------------------------ I do think though that ALL swoop meets should have minimum requirements similar or the same to this. I think there are some swoop meets out there that anyone can enter. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  6. You and I. That's the correct grammar. At least that's what I was taught in school. MS Office however suggest you and ME so perhaps it's an americanized way. edit: Cause I'm an idiot and spelt grammar incorrectly
  7. Somewhere around jump #200, I had an off field landing. I looked for obstacles and didn't see any. Knowing better I decided to do a big fat 180 hook into the field I was landing in. Didn't see the barb wire fence until I was right on it, good thing I was able to lift my legs and pop over it. HP landings + unknown landing area just isn't a smart thing to do at all. 8. Yeah, and kicking ass and taking names I hear Keep it up! Performance Designs Factory Team
  9. Hey There, Good to see you posting. Thanks for a informative post too! There's definately a distinction between the text book and what actually happens out in the field. I hope you heal up soon. Blue skies, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  10. Yep, obviously I try not to aim for people in the landing area, but they are far easier to avoid if they aren't darting around like panic'd animals. Lay down or duck but please dont run left or right. Just makes it harder to avoid you. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  11. Denise, They take your 4 best scores, so if you attend all 6 meets they drop 2 of your scores, 5 meets they drop 1, 4 meets you keep all of them. Competitors must attend a minimum of 4 meets, including the finals to be able to enter the finals. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  12. Hey Chris, Thanks for posting the results. Heh, I feel the same way. I'd be happy if everyone just took a month off before the next meet to get rusty Yeah I'm sure the same faces will be there
  13. Yeah but he's not suck a bad oke Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. There are some people who are capable of exercising self restraint. Most who hop on the "good deal bandwagon" when coming to canopies don't. I think the temptation is just too much. That's my thoughts on it anyway. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  15. There have been some discussions about them. Seems like a 50/50 split. I personally, don't like em. The one's I've seen have either been waay too baggy or have blown apart in a weekend. Mileage may vary. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. Haven't jumped a xfire at that loading but it should be easily landable straight in. I've landed other canopies highly loaded that way with a decent surf even. But I realize that's not the topic of discussion here. Just wanted to say it Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  17. Yes Windows. If anyone tells you using Linux is for "average users" they're flat out bullshitting you. Yes Linux is powerful, no linux is not something I could put on grandma's machine. And if you think for one second Linux doesnt need patches, etc, you're kidding yourself. Before you decide to make a switch I suggest you go and check out what software you use with your computer and if there's either a linux version or a comparable app. Either way don't kid yourself into thinking it's going to be an easy learning curve. Maybe it's right for you, dunno, but it comes with it's own set of issues. EDIT: Yeah MAC is another option too. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  18. Hey Paul, Sorry about that.... 1st - Ian Bobo 2nd - Junior (from Deland) 3rd - Mark Shimell 4th - Paul Roussouw 5th - Justin Thornton 6th - Brian McNenney 7th - Ray Dutch (I think) 8th - Ian Drennan 9th - Greg Compton 10th - Chris Hayes Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. I've always done my homework when selling a canopy to someone. If something seemed suspect I'd call the DZO if necessary to verify the jumpers claims. Other than that if someone really wants to get a hold of something, they will. I don't feel responsible for selling them gear if they got it under false pretenses, but I do feel obligated to do a little homework on them before just shipping it off. In the end I do what I consider reasonable. No doubt someone could pull the wool over my eyes, but I don't feel accountable for that. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  20. Yeah it's a repost. This was in the BM forums a while back. Regardless it's still sick!! Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  21. Yeah I look at my stuff all the time and say that Wait till the new team jumpsuits come in!! See you this weekend? Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. Yep, I gotta hand it to Schimmle , he was on his game this comp. Nice flying. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  23. We can only hope he'll grow into shame
  24. I can ship you some of ours....in fact some of the raunchiest farts on the plane have been products of some female skydivers I've jumped with. Kudos to them for owning up to it though, better than the "wasn't me" group...yeah you guys know who you are....sissies!
  25. nah - I think I'll leave it that way Performance Designs Factory Team
