  4. Yeah and I bet a lot of people that are defending the word lie would be using it if it was a leftie in the office. Come on, are people really still holding onto this? If these things were so easy to know that they were there, wouldn't it be a little hard to unload such a large quantity unbeknown to the intel community? Seriously, it's extremely unlikely there are any. I think even the current administration believes that now. What fascinates me is how people are quite happy to believe the new "freedom line" when the old "WMD line didn't work out. Whether or not the intel was bad we went to war under one pretense and now have changed it to still try and justify our stance. I'd have a lot more respect for the man if he stood up and said "whoops, we were wrong. We really did think they were there but it was a mistake. Now here's how I plan on fixing our errors....". Instead we're constantly misdirected by *leaders* on either side who're trying to run each other down with their own political agendas and come out smelling like roses. It reminds me so much of the lack of accountiblity in Corporate america it's sickening. No one ever seems to do anything wrong, always someone elses fault. Pathetic. In fact it's an epidemic. 5. Fair question. Here are some of my experiences with them. They've always bent over backwards for my wife and I in any purchase we've made (and anyone we know). From the 2 Velocities, Sabre2 and now Katana, to the demo's before we bought them. They've offered friendly, prompt service and have even offered advice to us on selling a piece of their gear privately. Basically I've found them extremely accessible and very very willing to help out with anything regarding their products. That about sums up my experiences with them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the other companies aren't good, but I hear far less bad things (if any) about PD than any other canopy manufacturer out there. 6. You are most definately entitled to that opinion, but it's a lot more than *marketing* that make PD a great company and stand out amongst the others. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  7. I would make sure the door was closed, then ask one of my teammates to cock my pilot chute (I prefer not to get out of a rig once I'm in the plane), roll it up and restow the bridal + pilot chute. All in all a 2 min fix (if that). Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  8. I used to have a white heatwave that I packed and then cocked the pilot chute when it was in the bag all the time. The canopy developed light black lines along the fabric where the line would rub against it. I wouldn't consider it significant damage though. I'm sure how aggressively it was cocked would make a difference because of friction, but I just changed my method to be safe. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  9. It can easily give the canopy line burn too if you cock it when it's in the bag. I'd recommend cocking it prior to placing it in the bag, although I see people do it after it's in the bag all the time. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  10. And a voice of reason sounds from the darkness. Listen to this man...he speaks the truth. Wind sock chasers are a danger to everyone, including themselves. Find another place to land if you don't agree with the direction, if there's none, then suck if up and land the same way. If you can't handle it, upsize. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  11. The swoopers from the meet in Z-hills did a tracking dive on Sat for Nate (thanks to Tyler for organizing it). I'll bet Nate was laughing his ass off wel all didn't make it back to the dz and landed off. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  12. No, not at all. I just have yet to find someone elses life so interesting that I just love to hear their useless conversations. Performance Designs Factory Team
  13. So far Alit-2 does as well. My neptune screen got cracked after a riser strike and it was immediately replaced. To the best of my knowledge they match anything that L&B will do. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  14. Great news!! So now I also have to listen to more useless conversations while I'm in flight. Like having to hear them walking down the street, in the gym, in a restaurant, ad nauseum isn't enough already. Gee thanks. If you use your cell for business, good for you. The rest of you - your lives are not so freaking important that the rest of us have to listen to you drone on. IT CAN WAIT! Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  15. I met my wife on the internet. 5 years of marriage and still going stong. Next! Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  16. If it's turbulent you should reconsider your approach and avoid the fronts. If it isn't turbulent then it's not an factor from a stability standpoint. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  17. You want them to come out easily if you hit them.
  18. I think I've found a new way of describing my penis Performance Designs Factory Team
  19. I read it too. They are incorrect. What they could have meant though was to avoid front risers in GENERAL in turbulent conditions (note high wind speed does not necessarily mean turbulent). If it's really bumpy under canopy or there are rotors in the area it's advisable to stay off them. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  20. We only train every alternate weekend and I YET to be on a dive that someone messed up Sure they don't always go as planned but we're all always learning! Having jumped with you I can say that the biggest thing you need to do is 2 ways right now. You're not a danger to anyone in 2 ways (you're not corking all over the place). You need a point of reference to lay base, or have you chase or something....just get in the air with people! Laying a sit base down the column without a visual reference or anything is one of the hardest things in FF to do! Look me up on a weekend I'm not training. We can go do some 2 ways and you know Katie is always available too and is a shit hot sitflyer IMO. Blue ones, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  21. Yeah well I like a challenge
  22. Correct but teaching pushing the pelvis forward will accomplish the same thing (getting the back into the relative wind), often with the student feeling less awkward with the movement, it's just important to explain to the student WHY you're teaching them to push their pelvis forward and what the results will be (including the slowed fallrate). Of course everyone learns in different ways so the trick is to find a way to relay the information to the student that they *get*. Lisa, look me up next time you're in Thomaston. You know I'm always available for this kinda stuff Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  23. Honestly, you won't go wrong with either. Both are well established and both have spectacular customer service with a good product. I think, personally, the neptune has more room for future growth than the protrack because it can be updated with new software with new features. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  24. I know they guys at Skydive Atlanta will be down with this. We'll make it happen Mike. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  25. I'm not perfect. I was wrong once....and that's when I THOUGHT I was wrong but I was actually right! J/k folks. Smile and the world smiles with you, fart and you stand alone. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
