Ok, I lied, I don't have any pictures. Hopefully you guys that attended can post them and any video on this thread to keep them in one place. However, I made a movie from the video that I copied from Deuce over the weekend. This is from Saturday and shows most of the jumps we did. It's about 21MB, so I uploaded it to the FTP site - ftp.skydivingmovies.com. It's currently in the uploads directory until someone moves it - called Dz.comLaborDay' 02.wmv If you want better quality, the next step up in compression pushes the size to 40MB. It's in windows media format (.wmv) so you need a later version of Media player to play it. Hopefully Sebazz can post that killer hyrbid video he has. That is the shiznat!! WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!! What a blast that was. I was part of that tube, and man it was AWESOME!! It was, of course, my initial tube jump, so I had not experienced anything like that before. It started out as being 12 people, but then the DZ manager said that having more than 8 people on the back of the tailgate of the skyvan for more than a few seconds would cause it to stall - so we did 9 instead...LOL The exit was good and it rolled and rolled until about 8K when it broke off. The load organizer communicated well what exactly was going to happen in the dive, breakoff alti, belly flying until breakoff, legs bent, etc... So when it broke off, we all went to our bellies until 5 grand, then tracked off. No incidents in that jump, due to good gear checks, and good communication, and of course - good people. I think I was the low man on this jump with only having 75 jumps. What a RAD weekend, and that was just one of the fun jumps we did. I hope someone has pictures they can post. Butthead: Whoa! I totally agree with you Phree. I should have made it more clearer that I was referring to landing areas that are big enough for other jumpers to land elsewhere. just my .02... But if I am on the ground, after just landing, and some A-hole wants to come land ON my chute or me for that matter, he's gonna have some 'splanin to do. Not always, but usually the guy below has the right of way. If I am there stowing my stuff, chances are there is WAY enough time for him/her to change their landing pattern and avoid me. I too stow my stuff on the ground, and have not had any problems or complaints from other jumpers for "getting in their way". I have to be on the base also, otherwise I will swoop right past you all!! I do fall like a rock and fast!! I am getting some swoop cords or some wings added to my jumpsuit when I get back from Perris. I have 65 jumps, 90% RW, but unless I am wearing a student suit or FF gear, I aint gonna be turning single points. If I am linked with someone, then I can turn a few. If we do what you guys did for the 2 point 10-way, then I will have no problems. Largest formation was 8 way at Davis, and I feel comfortable doing those and maybe a bit larger - I don't think I want to attempt anything past 16. Anyone have a super floppy old suit or student suit they could let me use for the big ways ? I'm practicing fall rate control, but probably won't have it mastered by this weekend. ...oh, and I'll be there from friday night till whenever Lummy says it's time to go. Butthead: Whoa! XP does NOT suck. It only sucks for those who don't know how to use it to the fullest extent. The only complaint I have is ripping CDs... you would think that after the Win2K fiasco, that MS would incorporate ASPI drivers into their OS. Other than that, XP is very solid. Butthead: Whoa! Simply put, the Cypres has an explosive charge that fires the cutter. It is very unwise to say the word "explosive" in an airport. Awwww... I'll be in Vegas the weekend after the Perris trip - September 7-10th. I wasn't planning on jumping, but if anyone familiar is going to be out there, I might just make other arrangements.
