Hey HH, I have notice that about a few people's accounts. I click on "full details" and nothing comes up...not even the blank form. Is this because nothing at all was entered into the user profile ? Here we go again From what we have discussed before in great detail in this thread and others... a pin check is just that - a pin check. If you want something more, then ask for it....ask for a gear check. This happned a while back at my dz before boarding the plane. I asked for a pin check from a fellow skydiver, and the guy looked at me funny, and asked " Are you sure you just want a pin check ONLY ?" I said ok, gimme a gear check and he did. You should make it clear what kind of check you want... IMO and my experience. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

That's EXACTLY what I do. I use two large bands on the locking stows. (Larger because of the cascades) Small bands on the rest. I tried using the smaller bands for my stows (other than the locking stows) and the lines just slip out of the stows when they are done once, but they are too tight when double stowed. I jump a PD Spectre, BTW with microline. I didn't even jump it, I cut them off and replaced with the normal bands, and double stowed all of them except for the locking stows. Works great for me. Speaking of 100 hour inspection, is it at all possible that this "Crack" developed immediately after the last 100 hour inspection, therefore it would not have been noticed even if a dye inspection was used ? That is a well written article, and coming from a skydiver, it's even better. I think I might just pick up a copy of her book. Sh1t, that sounds like a lotta fun!! Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

I am confused by this statement. If it was a total mal - (nothing out) then why pull the main? Not just that...but if the JM saw him pull the cutaway and KNEW that the main was going to release, why not just go for the reserve and skip the main ? And, it appears that there was no RSL, and I would assume that the JM knew this, so why did he go for the main? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

OK...so it is pretty clear that the student pulled his cutaway instead of his main. So.... my question is why didn't the instructor pull his reserve handle instead of his main ? Sounds like to me that the JM should have pulled his reserve. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

That is what Taft skydiving uses. I was talking to the DZO and he says that he gets them "new" for about 60 bucks. He then adds the grippers to them and voila! a jumpsuit that is rugged and looks cool too. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! "Hey, look I got this new digital camera, but I can't figure out how to set the date on the damn thing... oh, sorry about that." or just start snapping pics of people at random and say that you're making an internal web page for your department. There you go.... Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

dude, just ask her out for lunch some day. It doesn't have to be something romantic, at first. Especially if you feel like you might get turned down. Take her out to lunch or a drink after work with other people and get to know her. By spending some casual time with her, you should be able to figure out if she is interested in you. Keep it simple Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

LOL... you know if that plane was any slower, my legs would have fallen asleep. NO shit, there I was.... we take off, and the three of us (me, Lummy, and Jams) were looking at our altis for 4-5 minutes waiting for us to get up to 1,000 feet. Was I the only one that thought my alti was broke cause it wasn't moving ?? So we are about on jump run and we see traffic to our right. The pilot doesn't seem to know about it and rolls the plane to the right to look for it. So we spend the next couple minutes rolling left and right looking for this plane....LOL Oh man, that plane ride had to be the most funny, scary, and trippy ride that I have been on. The jump that I did made up for it 10 fold. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Nope, I didn't take any pictures at Perris, other than a few bar shots that came up looking pretty dark. I figured that there were other people with better cameras (Viking, Quade, and others) that would post them. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

yeah it does. Plus, we thought we saw that same plane land at Perris. Someone mentioned that it WAS the plane and that they flew in Friday night, but that has been unconfirmed. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

0:12:too many WoooHoo!! Just what Lummy said - a great weekend with GREAT people. I posted a few pics of the TAFT DZ. You can see the small building that IS the dz, the hearst for picking up people, and the slow-ass (I am so spoiled ) Cessna that took us up to 11k. I think Jams can best describe the plane flight up to alt, since he was helping the pilot look for stuff on the floor of the plane - it was hilarious. Too many firsts to list, but my favories were probably the 9-way tube jump, the greased safe, and the 5-way head down, and nailing my sit at Taft for more than my previous 2 seconds (shorts and long-sleeve shirt did the trick.) True, they ended up mostly being zoo loads, but we had a kick-ass time. Hey Lummy, where did you get 13 jumps? Did you do another yesterday ? 2 + 6 + 4 = 12 And you got laid 60 times ?!??!
