  7. Try The Left Behind Series. They have about 9 books out now in the series and publish one about every 6 months. They had me glued to the books for 3 months reading them all. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  8. Thanks, I got a few good laughs out of it. They were at a point that if I left them together for any longer they probably would have become friendly. I mean they calmed down a lot since when they first met. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  9. [geek mode]LAN PARTY!!![/geek mode] No doubt, I usually go down to SoCal once a year for an annual LAN party. Doubt it will happen this year, since dude that was hosting it got married. Funny thing is that I am an avid gamer, but have not played in a few months since I have lost my job. No drive, I guess. But I still keep up to date on the games. I'll play CS, Q3, UT or UT2 anytime. I also like the older games, D1 and D2, and Q2 and sometimes Serious Sam when I am bored. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

  12. ummm My ratio is 80:1 with 80 dives. I had to do one to get my A, but have not done one since then. I am going out to Byron tomorrow, so maybe I'll do one in the morning before they put the KA up. My first and only HnP was very eventful. I left the step (Cessna) and immediately reached to pitch. (ya, stoopid me) I rolled over on my back and watched the pilot chute go underneath me and rise up to the side. Funny, thing is that the HnP was from 3500 and I was in the saddle by 2900. Connie, the JM, thought I was toast. She watched me fall out and flip over and thought I was going to get in an entaglement, but everything was fine. I am wanting to do more, I just have been too spoiled jumping outta them turbine planes. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  13. This question is probably directed to B^2 or anyone else familiar with the conditions. I was planning on camping. What is the weather like there at night ? Will I be sorry if I am sleeping in a tent with only one blanket ? Should I bring a kerosene heater for my tent, or an elecric blanket and a small generator ? What about during the day, is it cold at altitude ? what temp ? Below freezing ? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
  14. Shame on me ?? Ok... Kayla was chasing the cat around the yard for 'close' to an hour. There were a couple breaks in that hour. She chased it up one tree and barked at it for a bit. Then the cat became brave and came down, so she chased it again. Like I said, no harm came to the cat, other than a bit of emotional distress. After Kayla chased him up the second tree, I had to get him out with a ladder. Then I fed it and let it go. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! 15. Ok, so I'm sitting at home today and keep hearing my dog bark. I go outside and she has this cat pinned against my gate. She is not harming the cat, just barking at it. She chases this cat around my yard for a good hour until finally the cat ends up in the tree. Attached are proof that cats and MY dog will never coexist in the same house. BTW - the cat was not harmed in any way, just a little frightened and upset. My dog just wanted to play. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! 16. I can agree with Deuce on this one. The vids that our dz produces are pretty nice. I have seen one other video from another nearby dz, and there were too many effects. They did slow-mo, backwards, transitions, etc... while watching the video, I was saying to my friend..."hurry up, hurry up and show the good stuff." The raw footage of the video must have been about 5 minutes, but they stretched that thing to about 15. A little fluff is good, but too much is just overkill. I would say that anymore than 25% fluff is too much. ie. If a 5 minute video was stretched to 15, that would be rediculout. but if that same vid added 20% fluff to make it 6 minutes, that would be the perfect video. Again, this is all subjective, and I am sure everyone is going to have their own opinion. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Sorry, Deuce, if you bring the family, you're on your own, but you can caravan with us!! Ok...everyone send good vibes my way to find a kick-ass job before X-MAS and I will work it into the hiring agreement that I get that week off - WITH PAY!! 20. BEEEEEER!!! hrmm... Aren't tension knots mainly from poor packing ? Such as when the lines go slack during packing and when you push the lines up to the slider, they can knot up upon deployment ? My understanding was that tension knots had to do with slack in the lines and a knot "forming" around other lines, but it had little to do with setting the brakes. Edit: How does not setting the brakes cause this problem, other than twisted lines ? This is assuming that the brakes are then set properly before packing. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! 22. ummm ok.... I can't jump until my medical insurance is approved. I tried to go with Blue Shield, but they denied me because of my previous allergy problem. So now I gotta go with HIPPA and pay 4 times the normal amount to be insured. So here I wait until I get the letter, then I can SKYDIVE!! Also, my GF is starting AFF next weekend!! WoooHOOO!! 24. Hmm...sounds like you have expereince in this area. I was going to say to ask Deuce. He was a cop. I'm sure he has shot at someone and/or maimed/killed them. He's a cop, he had to shoot someone. How was that for a stereotype ? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
