  1. Wanna try it myself if anyone has a good suggestion "Don't make me come down there" - God. My site:http://www.skystudio.nl/video.html Some of my vids: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomSkyStudio
  2. sky-designs Check it out, great helmets! "Don't make me come down there" - God. My site:http://www.skystudio.nl/video.html Some of my vids: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomSkyStudio
  3. Not considdering the hypoxia part, try this when spiralling: always keep your eyes focussed on one point, you will be forced to move your head around all the time. For me this works, it keeps me from becoming dizzy. "Don't make me come down there" - God. My site:http://www.skystudio.nl/video.html Some of my vids: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomSkyStudio
  4. I noticed this hopping thing on my Sabre, at a certain point it would do that but if I pulled the front riser even further, this would stop. I asked a few other guys flying Sabres to try it out, and they all had the same story. Maybe not such a good idea close to the ground, but you can always try it out up high, maybe you'll learn something more about your canopy. "Don't make me come down there" - God. 5. Took my new Stiletto up for a few rides this weekend, love it!!! I was flying a Sabre 150 but I hated te openings, especially with extra camera weigt on my head. I would always pack it exactly the same, with good openings, but about every 25 jumps it would be like: pull, 1,32 millisecond delay, bammmmm For this reason I was planning on buying a used Stiletto or Specre 135, but after seeing some guys bounce over the last few weeks, I decided to go for a 150, which I load at about 1.3 . Used Spectres aren't too easy to find out here, but Stiletto's... plenty. I got one with about 700 jumps on it, relined about 100 jumps ago. Openings are sweeeeeettttt!!!!!!!!!! Flying: much more agressive and fun! Swoops, or attempts at: non applicable for the moment, but once I get to know this canopy I think it 'll do allright, OK, smaller canopies might be faster and get longer surf, but I think my legs and spine are quite happy with this choice. 6. Has anyone jumped the BT 50??? Would like to get some info, especially on openings (pretty damn important for future camera flyer) I didn't find anything in the gear revieuws. 7. Sorry for this comments, but I haéve to get this out of my system... What a load of crap Don't you people living in the USA have any interest in coming up for your freedom??? You can drive a car at 16, but you can't jump under 18???? You can jump at 18 but you can't get a beer afterwards until you are 21??? home of the FREE ???? yeah right! stand up for your freedom, don't let anyone tell you what you should or should not do, as long as it doesn't involve hurting other people. Out here you can make tandems at 14, jump solo at 16, drive a car at 18 (sounds quite logic to me) and there is no one that tells you you can't drink untill you reach a certain age, and I don't believe that Belgium has a higher percentage of drunks than the USA! I go skydiving to experience that 1 minute of absolute freedom, and hate other people telling me what to do. Jus my point of vieuw.... not wanting to offend anyone by the way. 8. to construct a catapult that would shoot us up to ... say 15000 ft??? Would be great though, what about doing some freeflying on the way up, and go for a 4 way RW on the way down... In a perfect world... "Don't make me come down there" - God. My site:http://www.skystudio.nl/video.html Some of my vids: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomSkyStudio

  10. 0/0/2 THIS SUCKS 2 jumps in an entire weekend are hardly enough to satisfy me. 2 good ones though... 1 speedstar, man that was fast! 1 RW 5, with one guy just off AFF, about 10 points, could have been worse... 1 virgin in my bed friday, told her that wasn't my kinda thing, gave her a hug and went to sleep! Still waiting for a good girlfriend, when I find her I owe massive amounts of beer!!!! "Don't make me come down there" - God. 11. I don't know how, but in the 9 jumps this weekend I got to solve the problem, I even used backslides to get into position when going from open accordion on the other's right side arm grip to open accordeon on left side with 360 between the open acc.'s I don't understand how I'm able to do a backslide, and stay in position for f.e. a cat, but I've got it under controle now. 12. If you have seen Brazil play against Belgium in the 2nd round, you know that Belgium would have won if they hadn't been f#@&%d by the referee. We're the mental champions of the world! (to be perfectly honest, the rest of the matches Belgium sucked big-time, part from the last 30 minutes against Russia) "Don't make me come down there" - God. 13. 0/5/4 First landing where I walked away feeling OOOHH SOOOO DAMN LUCKY for being in the bar instead of in hospital. Saturday I came in on front riser (90° to double fronts) when I shouldn't have, it was quite bumpy. the wind dropped, so my flare came too late, my knees hit the ground and I barely managed to pull up and land on my feet. Payed massive beer for this one, a few inches lower and my season would have come to an early end... Today I didn't do any low turns, same bumpyness. "Don't make me come down there" - God. 14. Why not? We did a 2 way this weekend out of a helicopter @ 5000 ft, 3 points, and usually when we follow tandems (this is only with the guy that I do RW 2's with all the time) we usually go for 1 more point after the tandem has opened. As long as you can track away at let's say 4000 ft, what's the problem? "Don't make me come down there" - God. 15. After how many jumps do Stiletto's need to be relined in general? I am considdering buying one, and I would like to know this to see if I'm getting a good price. Don't know how many jumps are on it, but negociations start tonight, and I would like to have an idea when this big cost will be coming my way so I can take that into account when we are discussing a price. 16. Yeah, okay, I think I didn't get my message clear, when I'm in position and looking behind, and the other jumper doesn't take my grips, I start moving forward slowly and I'm having difficulties to stop this, the turn itself isn't the problem anymore since I got some advise on that in another post. Getting on a creeper with my feet on a chair really helped a lot! "Don't make me come down there" - God. 17. I do all that stuff you mentionned with my sabre 150, I initiated my flare on back risers, flared it out once like this, no problemo! Front risering it in all the time (provided that the conditions are good and my set-up goes as planned) Uphill and downhill! Come take a look at my DZ!!! Landed with the wind a few times, cooooolll but I'm not such a good runner (short legs) so I prefer upwind! flat turn and flare turn, I think everyone should be able to do this with their canopies, comes in very handy in less ideal landing conditions! I have to work on swooping distance, I'm tempted to "put her down" too fast, and my body position doesn't look cool, but hey, this isn't a beauty contest!!!!! Now for the cool part, I might be able to buy this Stiletto I tried out (negociations start tomorrow!) and I already have a buyer for my Sabre. I won't ask what you guys think of this because I already know the answer, if you have to ask, then don't. Well, if I can close the deal I will, because after 1 jump on the Stiletto I know what I'm missing in my Sabre, not only flight characteristics, but also taking my back into account. Next season I'll probably downsize a bit more, and will be test jumping a whole bunch of other canopies before buying new gear, I guess that 'll take a few posts, so if you think this post was annoying, wait a year, you ain't seen nothin' yet Question: After how many jumps do stiletto's need to be relined??? I'm not asking for exact numbers and realize that it's dependant on a lot of factors (wingload and care for the material...), I would just like to have an idea, so I can take this into account when talking about the price. 18. Hey, Lately I'm training RW with a few friends, there is one guy that's always there for RW 2 practice, so we jump a lot together. We put cats in every jump, but I can't get my backslide right. I turn away 180° , keep eye contact, keep level, but I only seem to slide forward. Anyone have hints other than "put your legs on your ass"??? "Don't make me come down there" - God. 20. I don't know where people get the idea that jumping out of airplanes at 13000 ft is extreme. It's like... part of every day life "Don't make me come down there" - God. My site:http://www.skystudio.nl/video.html Some of my vids: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomSkyStudio
  21. You're absolutely right, the wobbling bit isn't scary, it's fantastic, and I can imagine the stalling bit would make you scared shitless! I heard a Caravan stalled a few weeks ago at Schaffen on drop run-in @ 13000 ft The pilot regained full control @ 8000 ft No serious injuries, only a few bruises in the "luggage compartment", but I don't think I ever want to experience something like this! 23. Actually it isn't that hard... A guy at my club has this sort of glove where he can attach his camera to. He gets great shots like this, a really good idea for tandems too, the only problem is the danger of that thing getting stuck in your lines (or pilote chute on opening.
