Hope you recover faster than foreseen muenk, question: do you stay at home now, or do you hang out at the DZ anyway??? A friend of made a little crash two weeks ago, just a hard landing on uneven terrain, sprained his ankle pretty bad, now he still hangs out at the DZ all the time, annoying the hell out of the rest of us, he's sitting on the terras all day long, offering everyone beers before sunset! quite funny though. So then you would technically be out of a job??? Maybe you can get one at your DZ!!! See I would love to work at a DZ, but I think I will have to move away from thiss shitty country, Belgium is just too small for skydiving, crappy weather too. Does anyone have a beautyful sister/friend/daughter that doesn't complain when all the money is gone and that knows how to pack??? Would be nice to marry and get one of those famous green-cards! trying to coordinate but I don't seem to get it right. I think I'm still turning more on shoulders than on legs, but then I don't really know, if I want to turn I just turn, if you know what I mean. Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

Many at my DZ (experienced guys) don't believe in front riser approaches. As I see it, using front risers adds energy to your motion, whereas toggle inputs first take away a lot of kynetic energy, but the resulting motion will increase the energy. The more energy (speed), the more input range you will have in the flare. So if going in on front risers, you'll have more margin to make up for eventual bad judgement, OK, if you really go too low, you'll bounce anyway. Am I completely wrong here or not? So what is the safest way to come in? Toggle or front riser, and why??? Just trying to get to a better understanding of what I'm doing, getting the feel of it isn't quite enough for me I guess Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

I've got a problem. All my turns in formation are OK for my level, fast too, but as from the moment I go for a 360, I'm gone about 5-10 feet horizontally. I think it sets in the moment when I loose eye-contact and and turning my head to regain eye-contact on the other side (go fast with the head to keep looking at my reference as well.) Suggestions? or are there others out there who have: -left their girlfriend because she cost about 3-4 jumps a week? -sold their car for a cheaper one? -stopped going out to party's where you need to pay to enter? -took an evening job to get more airtime in weekends? -and when that was going well took a job as a waiter in a discotheque for weekend evenings? -done this kinda wicked sh?!@ to be the happy little skydive-puppy that can go up for a few extra jumps where others would take a look at their wallet and call it a day? Skydiving is not just a sport, it's a way of life, or definitely a serious change from the way of life you had back in your whuffo-days. Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

A few weeks ago this local popstar (with great looks...) came to our DZ for a tandem for some TV show. Tandems go up in a 206 and are dropped @ 10k So strapping the passenger at about 8k gives plenty of time... At 5k the TM told here to get on his lap! Another jumper and I had a quick look at our alti's, then looked at eachother, and turned away from the girl laughing. TM sees this and decides to take it a little step further, so he asks her manager (who was aboard as passenger) wheter she was Spanish. Yes the guy says So TM says: Yea, I can feel it! Then he tells the girl: If you feel something, don't worry, it's just my cellular. Believe me, I had a serious brainlock during the jump (brainlocks in 2-way, pffft) Anyway, this girl loved the ride and the TV show had excellent footage. Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

At first I taught about fixing my ditter in some way, but actually it's quite handy when it's loose in the pocket (mine stays in nicely), because you can easily put it in place when you put on your helmet, works for me anyway... Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

You're right, collapsible it is. Current P/C is F111, a large one, I did get hard openings on my Sabre 170, the 150 opens ... well, let's say well below the pain barrier, will a small P/C affect the opening speed a lot? and what about the lenght of the bridle??? Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

Subject is basically the question, my pilote chute is almost ready for its final resting place, what should I order: a retractable or bungee pilote chute? Question nr 2 behind the yellow door: what size??? I'm certainly going for ZP fabric, I have a Sabre 150 in vector II harness with BOC pocket (dunno which information is usefull in order to get an answer on my question.) Behind the red door: how long should the bridle be? Oooowww yeah, If it should matter, I only fly belly, get my kicks out of good RW. Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

I drive a Citroen berlingo, a french van, about 2 months old. I barely get the maximum highway speed (120 km/hr) and it empties a tank in 600 km, It take slike hours to get on speed, and to be completely honest, it's UGLY. My previous car ( a Seat Ibiza 1.9 TDI 110hp) got speeds up to 220 km/hr, glued me in my chair and was a quite good chick-magnet. I like the Citroen better! Why???? 1) Room enough for a matrass in the back, great for those after-skydive booze moments when you start thinking about meeting police on the way home with very little blood in your alcohol! 2) It's all paid for: purchase, taxes, insurance and gas, thank you Coca Cola enterprises Belgium!!! First of all: thanks all for giving me advise, it's the "second of all" that you won't like. I asked instructors at the club what they thaught of the idea, they all gave me a thumbs up, so after test jumping the sabre 150 this weekend (and them watching me) I decided to go ahead and buy it. As i said before, I'm not one of those "I wanna go smaller every 3 weeks" kinda guys, and I really wasn't planning to downsize until this canopy was offered for sale to me. My reasons for buying it: 1) MONEY offcourse, I don't know the exact exchange rates, but I sold my old Sabre 170 with 1000+ jumps on it(I knew someone that wanted it) for about 100 dollars more than I paid my new Sabre 150 with less than 100 jumps on it, basically the best deal you could ever get, and for the record: I sold my 170 for the price that my rigger estimated it, about 370 dollars, so it wasn't a rip-off, my new canopy was offered to me for a ridiculously low price. 2) The instructors at my DZ told me this canopy shouldn't be a problem for me. 3) OK, it flies faster, and that's more fun! Did 12 jumps with it this weekend, always kept it in half-brakes untill I was sure to be clear of the others regardless of what I did, played with it between 2000ft and 1000ft, made clean box approach patterns and went for straight-in or shallow toggle turn approaches. Landings were great, I was amazed about the range of flare toggle positions, and the amount of lift available at low speed. I'm a happy little puppy under this canopy, and thrust me, when I'm fooling around at higher altitude I just love those agressive turns, but I'm not tempted to try one below 200ft. I think I'm just one of those controle-freaks, so for now I go for smooth approaches, I don't like the idea of the canopy flying me, the other way around is a must. I think I can expect a few crispy comments on this one, but know that I'm gratefull for all of your previous advise, and that it was constantly in the back of my mind when taking my decision. Not so easy walking away with ski's on your feet and a wicked piece of zp between your legs. By the way, no bad intentions when typing piece of zp between your legs, don't even think about replying on that one, it would be too easy... Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

Well, about this turn to final, I don't get it the way it could be because I'm holding back, what I would like to do is start the flare when the canopy is just out of (or still in) the turn, this on toggle. I get the speed I want on front risers, but on toggle I hold back to avoid turning too low, just cautious I guess. It's not like the canopy is flying me... Then again, where I jump only the wacko turf-surfers under velocity - vengeance - VX -FX's do those kind of flare while carving type of things. Lots of guys with 1000+ jumps go for long flat turns on final. I think if I waited 3-5 more seconds before getting in the turn, I'd get a nice result, but I'm not anxious to try. Better safe than sorry, and I don't think this attitude will ever change, if it did, someone should tell me, 'cause then I would be playing a dangerous game... Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

On an RW2 last weekend, I seemed to loose all pressure on my left bootie, it was just flapping in the wind, without actually taking pressure, goes without saying I lost my companion for a while, then all of a sudden everything went back to normal. I checked my gear (including proper fitting of my booties) 1 minute before exit and they were well in place at the time. Has anyone experienced something like this before??? I have about 70 jumps now, 25 on student material, 25 on falcon 175 and 20 on my own Sabre 170. The Sabre is pleasing me, but I still haven't got the correct judgement for my final turn. Don't misunderstand me, all my landings are safe and upright, I rather turn it in too high than too low. My weight is about 85 kilograms (gear included). I recently got a great offer on a Sabre 150 main, practically new ( +/- 100 jumps) while mine hasabout 1200 jumps on it). I' perfectly confident while under my 170, but I'm wondering if moving on to a smaller canopy at this level would be a good idea. The original plan was to sit the year out , and switch to a 135 next year at about 250 jumps. Advise anyone??? Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn

If your glasses are on the smaller side they should fit in a Z1, Wesley, my 2-way buddy has small glasses and has no problem what so ever wearing them in his Z1. Propably factory diver -or other fixed visor helmets- will be more difficult, hope to be of any help. Will jump for beer, bs AiRpollUtiOn
