    I'm doing just fine with my 143w2, 31-15 and a Sailrite LSZ-1 (that I have been meaning to get back in tip top shape). Been looking for a good walking foot that can push FF to 3 cord.     I have a Safire2 169 and an Optimum 176 in my V348 and it isn't difficult to pack at all, even when the canopy was brand new. Also had a Sabre2 170 in there for a bit, again, no issues.     You're committing to landing once you exit the airplane. There are no go-arounds under canopy. As a first jump student, you will likely be deploying around 5,500 feet, this should give you at least a few minutes under canopy to practice what the instructors have taught you about canopy flight up to that point. If you're nervous about flying a canopy, you can always do a tandem and have the instructor on your back guiding you thru it.     Yeah really! There should be separate landing areas, shouldn't there? I've done low level aerobatics and loved it, but that was one wild ride. Sometimes I think the video looks scarier than actually being there.

    It wouldn't in itself be legal for an intentional parachute jump. Only legal for emergency bail-outs. As far as collecting, there are a few people out there that like to have oddball stuff, but the best place to list it would be in the classifieds. Don't expect too much money for it though. It is going on 30 years old after all!     For what it's worth, we used the Pelican cases quite a bit in the military. They can break, but it is pretty fucking difficult to do. I wouldn't expect any airliner handling to be able to break them.     HALO jumpers aren't classified according to the USPA by default, so no license is issued. Generally once they're rated for HALO, it isn't much work to get them their USPA A license and get them well on their way to their B. That being said, it's only a week or so of school, then jumping. You should look up "military free fall" school.     Just curious, does the forum software use a SQL database? If so, it would be fairly trivial to add a column in the posts database and assign it as a number. Then in the template insert a PHP script to +1/-1 the post and have it directly update the DB. Though that would probably cause a page reload without some fancy keyboard work. Just an idea!     Where do you live? Honestly you might get off cheap and only have to pay a couple of slots (around $50 total) plus some extra cash for the parachute packing and beer later. The absolute best way would be to find a dropzone close to you and go there tomorrow morning. Ask around.     Well, I'd be surprised to find out a No.2 pencil had any preference in cleaning chemicals! I never said I would use it, just know I've heard people saying they would/do.
