Did you happen to listen to the commentators after the game? They kept rattling on about Cindy Crosby and what a 'great leader' and captain he was... blah, blah, blah ad infinitum. Crosby got one goal in this series and was otherwise... flat! Looks like we've got a whole year to listen to that kinda' crap. Fleury should've gotten the Conn Smythe! As for booing Bettman... YES! Not because the Wings lost but, Bettman has been so obvious in his support of Pitt. that it was sickening. The guy has no business being NHL commish! As for the refs... they need to go back to school and stay awake this time! Chuck

Yeah, they bood Bettman! All the 'conspiracy theorists' feel that Bettman 'set-up' the Pens win through 'non calls' and giving the Pens the edge in the series. Granted, the officiating was beyond horrible but, the Wings beat themselves. Lack of defense, puck control, sloppy passes... you name it. They looked more like Junior-B than NHL. I would imagine, some heads will roll in MoTown. We'll know better come October. Chuck

Looked to me like the brain farts were team-wide! For a game seven, in the Finals, the Wings couldn't get it going. I was surprised at Hudler! Everyone on the Wings team looked flat. He's usually much better. The Penns just flat, out-played Detroit. Chuck

I just saw that commercial! Too cool! Detroit had to come out hard and strong. Seems to set Pitt. on their heels. does it look to you like the refs have kept their whistles in their pockets, again? They missed a great chance to call slashing on Pitt. I thought they'd have the ref problem taken care of by now. Even the announcer said that! Chuck

I got real dis-appoinetd in 'The Wizard of Oz' during the regular season. Once again, he comes back with intensity and determination. Because of Ozzie, the Wings can stay under the salary cap! Heck, they got Draper for $1.00! Tell me, the Wings front office don't know how to deal. One thing I'd like to say is, I cannot recall, where the Wings ever got ugly during or after a game. It was always the other guys. What a class outfit. Right now, my nerves are out of sight. I really hope, they win tonight! We'll see... Chuck

Datsyuk is amazing. He can set-up plays and handle a puck like very few I've ever seen. Just say, he's at 75%... he still is playing better than many others at 100% When you get 'The Euro Twins' together, you just know, something good is going to happen. I agree, whichever team wins, their goalie will get the MVP nod. The funny side of this is, a couple months ago, many Wings fans wanted Ozzie dumped! Looking back at what he's done for the Wings in the play-offs, he's played like crazy. The guy is there when things get tough! As I type this, my nerves are goin' nuts! I wish, the Wings would've put the Pens away Tuesday night. This could work quite good... the Wings can show-off the cup to the home fans. GO WINGS! Chuck

Just where in the desert are you going? Un-friendly... Oh... I gotcha' Keep your powder dry and your butt down. Just be safe! I saw a couple of slashes and a lot of cross-checking that was't called and at least one tripping that were not called... and that was just the Penguins. I think, if the Wings can come-out in game 7 like they did in game 5, it's in the bag. They drag around like tonight and the Pens have it. Chuck

Game 7 in Detroit! Wow! I'd like to know what happened to Detroit!? I think, they can do it on their home ice. We'll just have to wait and see. Some really bad officiating tonight but, it evened out... 2-power-plays each. If, it weren't for Ozzie, the score could've been higher. You bet! It's been a good time with all y'all! Just another one of Bettman's 'sooper-dooper' deals! I hope your son's team wins! Good luck to them!!! Lemme guess who his favorite goalie is? After game five, if they don't win, there's a huge problem! I got a lot of faith in them. Especially since they are right at full strength. If, the Pens win... I'll be highly dis-appointed with the Wings. I will also have to give a tip o' the hat to the Pens. I've enjoyed it to! To learn and exchange ideas and see such support for a great game has been fun. NO... not at all! They cut-out 'Joe Vision! The NHL, in their contract with NBC, would allow NBC to broadcast the games but, NO big screen tv parties at The Joe! I'll tell you what, after reading that, I'm really beginning to believe the 'conspiracy theorists'. The NHL allowed Vs to let the folks in Pittsburgh have big screen tv's at Mellon arena but, Bettman won't allow the folks in Detroit the same privilage. I'm really beginning to think, Bettman has done everything possible to set-up a Pens win of the Stanley Cup and further promote the Pens and his golden boys... Malkin and Crosby. Whatever the case may be, I think, Bettman should be investigated... after the Finals! edit to add: Did some digging... NBC hasn't allowed the Pens do do it either! NBC based it on the ratings and that they don't get good ratings at 'big screen parties'. Looks like it's equal for both sides... lousy dealings by Bettman. Chuck

Crosby and Malkin really showed their immaturity! Sidney should not be captain. He's not ready. It really came-out tonight. After all the hype and babble about those two... sheesh! Datsyuk was truly, the 'spark' for the Wings. After game 4, the Wings really came back to life tonight. The Wings definately, had their 'A' game. Ozzie got his 15-th. play-off shut-out! Did you see the look on Bettman's face, when the camera was on him? He looked like he missed the tri-fecta at Pimlico! Hee, hee! I think too, the reffing was much better tonight... it's about time. Talk about a turn-around! Datsyuk came back and really sparked the Wings! 5-0 shut-out! WOW! Who's nervous now? The Pens got stupid penalties and shot themselves in the foot. They didn't help themselves by losing their cool, either. Wings got 'em on the run! The Pens are a younger team and showing it. Chuck

Most of the 'good points' were brought about by the efforts of Brendan Shanahan and the players. Otherwise, if it were up to Bettman, the NHL would be a mere shell of what it once was. Bettman twisted the final results of late night sessions to make Bettman look good. Chuck

One could assume that but, we don't know everything. Seems like if, anyone does try to speak-up, they get slapped with a stiff fine. As in the Chicago coach, in the Western Conference Finals. You don't dare, say anything against Bettman or his refs! Chuck

Pittsburg just flat, out-played the Wings. Homer couldn't make a decent pass and was on his butt too often. I don't think Lidstrom was at all, near 100%. The Wings passing was terrible in general. Ozzie was hung-out to dry! Hopefully, the Wings will make a better showing back in Detroit. Maybe, they are beat-up and tired but, they just need to suck it up and start playing. Right now, the Pens are on fire and confident and that will be hard to dampen. Chuck

Detroit had a ton of chances but couldn't capitalize! They are definately, tired. Look back at the three series they went through to get to Pittsburgh. The Penns didn't have it that rough. The Wings won't let that get to them... they're tough. I think, Helm was just the spark the Wings needed. I just wish that Datsyuk would have been healthy tonight! Yes, the refs are starting to make calls but are still missing a lot of cross-checking from Pitt. as well as a couple of tripping penalties. Maybe, this will be the start of the refs doing their job.!!! Sheesh... One thing for sure, this game is looking like another nail-biter! Chuck

I subscribe to Dish Network. Gave them a call and they don't offer CBC. Looks like I have to put-up with the totally biased VS and NBC... If necessary. I'm just going to have to grit my teeth and try to avoid throwing rocks at my t.v. For the heck of it, I went to the VS web page and there's complaints all over the place about their coverage. I looked that up and... WHAT? Where do these guys come-up with that crap? One thing... If, Mike Babcock has a gripe, it's legit! Also, why would a ref stand there yelling for a player to leave? A whistle should be blown and someone goes to the 'sin bin'! The refs had their collective heads where the sun don't shine. Bettman is such a back-slider. He talks like a petty crook trying to cover his tracks. He has single-handedly made a disgrace of the play-offs and the teams have tried to rise above it. He needs to either do the job or step-down... preferrably, the latter! Chuck

Bettman should've stayed in basketball! His Napoleonic complex and over-sized ego wouldnot let him do that. He needs to push HOCKEY... not just one team. To me, this gives an impression to folks in 29-other cities that their team doesn't count. Those 29 other teams have players more than worthy of just a side-line mention in some obscure sports page. To me, he is showing favoritism and bias and pressing announcers to follow suit. The League needs desparately to replace Bettman. The facts are there... what may have worked for basketball, doesn't work with hockey. Chuck
