Oh, yes I have! Leafs fans are... well... Leafs fans! They are very passionate, to say the least! Much like Montreal! I didn't say the announcers were 'totally' un-biased but, they are nowhere near the announcers we have in the states. I just don't see how, promoting two players on one team promotes hockey! Chuck

A lotta truth there. What I get tired of is, having some athlete shoved down my throat as the very, very, very, best in the whole wide world and when you really look at his numbers, he's barely above average. Jason Abdelkader did better so far, in the play-offs than Crosby! Ever hear of him before? This kid is good... why isn't he 'promoted'? All teams do it and have done it for years and years. A lot of people don't watch hockey because they don't understand it. Promoting some player and making him a 'god of the sport' doesn't really promote the sport or get people to understand what's going on. The way they promote certain players, it's like a gushing flow of un-bridled man love! After a while, it just gets old and tiring! I just want to watch hockey and they can cut the other crap. Announcers need to watch Canadian announcers and learn something! They do hockey the way it should be done. After all... "It's a Canadian game!" Go Wings! Chuck

I know that's right! During the regular season, I get the hockey channels and one of them is CBC. Those guys, are the best... period ...hands-down It's a real pleasure to listen to them because they are so un-biased and call a spade a spade. I have to find some way of getting CBC, that's all there is to it! Chuck

Absolutely! Hopefully, Datsyuk and Draper can supply the spark to get the Wings back in 'their' game. I'm anxious to watch yet, I am really not looking forward to the continuous 'love fest' the announcers on VS gush on Crosby and Malkin. I really get tired of their one-sided coverage. Hopefully, the referees will have passed their vision tests and have the testicular strength to make the right calls! Chuck

Sure! You arethe Birthday Girl! I don't think he'd mind... he's a pretty good guy! Chuck

The guy has been really good and has added a good deal to the Wings line-up. We'd probably hear more of him if, his last name was Crosby or Malkin! I have a hunch, we'll see more of him next regular season... we can hope! As for Datsyuk, the Wings really need him back in the line-up. He's really good on the penalty kill and he and Holmstrom work very good together on the ice. Though, he has only one goal in the play-offs, he gets the puck in the opponents zone and makes plays. He's definately rested and ready. Chuck

You can celebrate all you want, as long as you want... it is you birthday! Have a happy one! Chuck

Funny stuff! They need to address 'why', when something does happen, that should be called, the refs stand there looking like a tree full of owls! Pittsburgh would probably try something like that... if, they thought they could get away with it! On a more serious note... Draper and Datsyuk are supposed to be back tomorrow night! Abdelkader will probably be benched. Chuck

Thanks! Yup! I saw Bettman's interview. Talked like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar. He's such a jerk. I appreciate your clarifying that. Chuck

When you see the 'play' coming right at you, seems to me, the first reaction would be to get out of the way! Granted, some calls get reviewed but, they should still, make the call. Sometimes, a coach will request a review on some calls. A spearing call, tripping, boarding, etc., are seldom reviewed. I have rarely seen a call rescinded in the past. As of late, it seems to be more common. Bottom line... the refs need to make the call! After all, they are supposed to be referees! Chuck

Brown had no other choice, as far as I'm concerned. The puck was in 'play' and his job is to get the puck. That dumb-ass ref should have been paying attention and got out of the way. Maybe if, this happens a few more times, the refs might pay better attention. These new refs are dumber than a box of hammers! Like I said earlier, I don't know where these refs came from but, they must've slept through most of their training. Where's McGough when you need him? All the good refs have retired. Chuck
-
Yeah! I've noticed that a number of times! In the first game of this series, one of the Wings was coming along the boards, chasing the puck. The ref was standing near the corner of the boards right in the way. I distinctly heard the player yell-out; 'GET OUT OF THE WAY!!' I think, they got these refs out of the Pee-Wee League.

I feel better, now. The conspiracy was gaining ground after last night's game and the lack of officiating. I agree too, it went both ways as far as 'non-calls'. The NHL needs to get refs in there who know what they are doing and have at least, read the rule book. I've noticed the bad or lack of reffing since the start of the play-offs. It's not just this 'series'. Chuck
-
Thanks! I came-up with zip! I don't want to come across like I've 'lost it' but, do you get the feeling this finals series is being manipulated? I know, the Wings didn't play like they can last night and I know, Bettman wants a 7-game series but, I really get the impression that Bettman wants his 'golden boy's' team to win this thing. Chuck
-
I didn't see that... what did Campbell say? Chuck
-
The Pens really had it together, tonight. Wings better shape-up or this series is going to slip away. Campbel had the call on Malkin quickly rescinded at the end of game 2 for really weak reasons. Malkin was mad at Maltby because he was getting under Malkins skin with his 'chatter'. The penalty should've stood!!! That was the one real call, so far in this series. Bettman and Campbell are looking too 'obvious'! Chuck
-
Make that three games, they've missed. I am not saying that because the Wings lost. The Wings looked like Junior B tonight. I've never seen the likes of this series. Hopefully, Thursday nights game will be better. Chuck
-
I know, you Pens fans are lovin' it but... where did they find those refs??? The Pens played 21-seconds in the first with 6 players on the ice... NO CALL! You name it and no calls! Helen Keller and Ray Charles could do a better job! I'm beginning to believe the 'conspiracy theorists'. The Pens have had 8-men on the ice, all night... 6-players and 2-refs. Chuck Chuck

Gotcha! Duh, me! Chuck

Are you talking more banners over all or between Pittsburgh and Detroit? Montreal has more Cup banners (23) than anyone. Chuck
-
All those others wish, they had that cuteness, too! Chuck
-
At least, The 'Joe' Lewis Arena is named for a famous heavyweight boxer! The Wings will let the Pens win one on their home ice which will mean they can raise the Cup at the 'Joe' I noticed, the Pens appeared more 'physical' last night. Could that mean that desparation is setting-in? The Pens are right where they were this time last year. The Wings winning back to back games was big for them. That didn't happen very often in the regular season. Hmmm... Also, I've seen the Pens players help their goalie too, like Zetterberg. They aren't going to leave their goalie hang-out to dry. Chuck
