You apparently have no knowledge of what Buddhism is. I am not Buddhist. But from what I have read about it Buddhism is not a religion. It is a philosophy. Buddha is not a god but a descriptive term meaning enlightened one. Look it up. How can a philosophy be a myth? It's just a way of thinking. There are no gods in Buddhism.

That is a very interesting definition of faith. By that I don't see how anyone could say that faith is based on any solid evidence. Being sure of what you hope for is no proof of anything. Being certain of what you can't see is not much better.

Ok Mockingbird lets do this again. According to your definition "Faith= the assurance of the heart in the adequacy of the evidence " When I read this I see that it is your HEART that is assuring you that the evidence you see is adequate. Hmmmm now lets look at what else you have written.

By your own definition you describe faith as having no evidence. Yet you are still arguing as though it does have evidence. Are you trying to say that as long as you feel it is true in your heart than the evidence must be adequate? Well the heart can be deceiving. I think I remember that being written some where in your precious bible.

If the Palestinians had played the politics better instead of resorting to violence they would have alot more supporters. Even now if they were to discontinue their violence they would achieve more through diplomacy. The violence just kills people and alienates them from the rest of the world. It really doesn't help them at all.

Before Isreal that land was under British mandate since the end of WWI. The British did much more to help the minority Jews then they did for the Palestinians. Also they allowed Jews to immigrate to Palestine despite many protests by Palestinians. Of course the Jews like to say that it was always theirs. Even if they weren't the majority of the inhabitants. Given to them by God or some such bull shit.

Nice use of condescencion to cloud the issue. It still remains that faith is belief despite little or no evidence to support it. Even your definition supports this. Explain this there is a lady where I work that is Hindu. Now she has just as much faith in her gods as any christian does in their god, but christians would refer to her gods as false gods. How is her faith any less true then your faith? by the way have you ever heard the saying "leap of faith"?? Explain that one to me! It is generally known to mean taking a chance on something with out anything to support it.

Nice word game. But if you break it down all you are saying is that you truly really believe in the evidence being adequate despite no real hard evidence. So really it is all in your head. No matter how hard you believe in something it doesn't make it true.

I always find this statement to be really strange. There are millions of different plants that grow out of the ground. What does that have to do with anything? Opium comes from Opium Poppy plants does that mean opium has the same standing as Pot? -
sounds like a good deal for the insurance company. What are the chances of that actually happening? none to zero by my book.

That is a pretty funny story, but I am more then a little skeptical. Sorry
