  1. You can set the beginning number for both the ff time and the jump numbers. You can also delete a jump from the Neptune I think? That would be handy if you lent it to a friend and you wanted to keep the jump numbers accurate. I am pretty certain you can do this I just haven't had the need to do so.
  2. I download the info off of my Neptune to Paralog on my computer. It has all the speed and altitude info right up until you touch the ground for the last 10 jumps.
  3. There have been revisions made the Neptune. It is currently up to 2.6.0 These revisions have been mostly to fix bugs in the original version, but there were some features added. I don't remember off hand what those features were.
  4. I don't see how the guide tones could possibly be for swooping. If you are going very fast at all the guide tone is just one long loud beep. I don't swoop much under a Sabre 2 150 loaded at 1.2 and it doesn't take much for me to flat line the guide tones. I have a Neptune for a visual altimeter and am very happy with it. I keep up to date and have had very few minor problems.
  5. Doesn't the Neptune just have fixed heights that it beeps at while the Optima has its "unique sequence of beeps to assist entering optimum swoop corridor" to quote L&B's website? The guide tones is a really annoying feature of the Optima. I disabled it on mine. You don't have to go very fast for it to flat line.
  6. That has to be the most interesting description of skydiving that I have ever read.
  7. Which one did you like better the girl in black or the girl in black?
  8. How can you not find that funny? I thought it was very funny. If you can't laugh at yourself then who can you laugh at?? Lighten up Francis.
  9. I think this calls for a regime change in all of those extremist countries! Yeah that's a good idea. Show me which muslim country that isn't extremist?!
  10. I would be fine jumping with one person new to head down, but no more then that. It's hard enough to dodge one person much less two or three. This mostly applies to jumpers trying to learn head down. I don't think it's a good idea to have 3 people all new to head down on the same jump. Being grouped tightly together does reduce some of the risk, but at those speeds things can go bad really fast.
  11. cool not trying to say you guys weren't being safe, just be careful and run your game plans by experienced freeflyers. Especially new ideas and new orientations like head down. It's no joke, it can kill you.
  12. Be very careful. Two people very new to head down jumping together can be a recipe for disaster. It doesn't take much to track forward or backwards at very fast speeds. A collision could cause serious damage. Being in control at all times while head done is paramount. I have jumped with people that believed they were in control on their head when they were actually moving forward or backward very fast. It takes alot to make sure you don't get into any collisions.
  13. really you have seen your God????! Or do you mean you see things that you interpet to be caused by God. I have read the Bible and I do remember being said somewhere that if you were to look upon the face of God you would die.
  14. As far as religion is concerned I share all lot of the same views as Kallend. And what would he be Guilty of??? Not sharing your views? Looked on objectively religions are based on invisible friends. Can you really dispute that? Have you seen your God?
  15. apparently you don't read very well. He specified people who have invisible friend(God) that get upset over other people who have a different invisible friend(some other god). Does that include you?
  16. I did 235 jumps last year and this year I passed that up last month. Not sure of the exact number though. It's been a good year.
  17. A friend of mine did the same thing and got in some serious trouble for pegging a little kid in the back of the head. Not very funny then and not funny now.
  18. hmm I have never actually heard of anyone doing that kind of repair to a laptop motherboard. Usually the whole motherboard gets replaced with that kind of damage.
  19. I landed out on a night jump. I had to do some serious thinking when choosing a place to land. Ended up landing across from a high school in a soccer field. It really was a guesstimate. I was pretty certain there was clear land across from that high school just not absolutely certain.
  20. digging ditches, the pay is low, but there is plenty of rain, wind, sunshine and you can learn a new language.
  21. I don't see Ahmadinejad even answering any questions at all. It would probably be much more like that recent televised interview.
  22. Really, you think if the Pres. of Iran says in a debate that he isn't seeking Nuclear weapons the US should believe him? Nothing will come out in a public depate but the same rhetoric that Iran is already saying.
