ok, that's what i thought. and no, i bought it used. but the port worked when i got it, i have had it for about a year and a half now. does anyone know what kind of price i may be looking at to get it fixed?? later

my fire wire port won't work. my question is, is there any way to "turn it off". like could i have turned it off accidentally, and that's why it won't work. i don't have an owners manual. and i have posted this in the photography forum too, but i thought i'd put it here too. thanks

hell ya it's a crazy mofo, have you seen him do the McTwist?? the one wear he comes in on toggles, drags his legs until his body is 180 his canopy, and then lifts his legs up, swings back around, and finishes his swoop. it's nuts. and with a freestyle round being added to the pst, i think TJ will be really good in that round. later

i have had serveral heatwaves (100, 120, 135, and 150), and loved them all. i would have to say the 120 was my favorite out of all of them great openings, nice response to toggle, and harness. doesn't dive a lot, a lot like a stilleto dive. light riser pressure, and toggle pressure. all around great canopy. oh ya, and i have jumped a 90 a few times. later

well, i've done it. and it isn't any fun. i decided that i could get my vx to stop on rears (i bet someone that i could, even though i knew i couldn't). it feels quite funny. check this out http://www.proswoopingtour.com/BajaTrailer.wmv the third swoop into it, i think it's TJ langren, but he stalls it on rears there. later

Hook pattern vs regular pattern
skygod7777 replied to PhreeZone's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
i've heard this same thing before. i personally think that if you look around before you do you hook, it doesn't really matter which way you go (left or right). you shouldn't be conflicting traffic to do you turn. because in either turn, you still are coming across traffic on thier downwind leg. if the traffic is too much, maybe only do a 90, or a 180, or land straight in. or if you see a bunch of traffic, go to a different area to land, maybe have a little further walk, and not have to worry about other people, and still have a bad ass swoop, instead of haveing to do less of a hook, or cut someone off. i'm not bashing you phree at all, in fact i'm sure you already do this. this is just my opinion, and since opinion's are like assholes.........everyone's got em, and they all stink later -
that is funny. hey, it's a good looking color sceme. i have been thinking about a color sceme like this for my next canopy. only yellow, and then the 3 stripes being blue, and blue crossbraces. later

i don't have a clue how to get it, but i like green, black, green, green, green, black, green, green, black ribs matching cells and then a black stabilizer on the endcell that is black. black slider. later

allan i have put about 8 ot 10 jumps on a crossfire 2 that had been psycho packed, and had no problems at all. it opened that same as the rest (when i pro packed it and i put about another 10 or so like that). my buddy kevin (Yoshi here) is who i borrowed the crossfire 2 111 from. and ever time he jumps it it's psycho packed. and he says he gets more on heading openings from it. i didn't find that, but maybe it is for him. but all in all, if you want to psycho pack it, you won't have any problems. later

oh no. if your not here. your definitely sucking i'm sorry to say it. but me and a few other her in richmond, are just having a prty of our own. what can i say, i'm trashed. so ok, maybe it's true, if we aren't in sebastian. but we still try to have fun. even though it's raining and cloudy. oh well. i don't know what i said. later
-
what's up so, have you ever had one of those nights where you know the morning this going to just suck. well, for me it's one of those nights. just a little lit. anyone else this way. well, i'm off. got to go have more fun later
-
damn, that sucks. i don't think i hurt myself that bad though. i don't think i even bruised it. my ass still is sore, but it's not too bad. later

that's funny when i was first reading it i was waiting for, when you're studid.....you got to be tough. i like that. later

so i just got back from chillis with my buddy justin. he had his quad in the back of his truck. so i ask him if i could ride it around a bit, and of course he says sure no problem. so i'm out behind my apartment, playin around on it. then justin gets on it, and rides some wheelies. he gets off, and say "now you try". well me being dumb, decides sure i can do that (i have before, just never on this quad, and i haven't ever road one with this much power). so i'm going up hill (not much of a hill) and hit it, and it comes up, and going and then i give it a bit more and it comes right back. and ouch that hurts. my ass hurts. oh well, that's what i get for being dumb and i just thought i would let everyone know that, because i feel like complaining. later

i would think this canopy would be something to replace the FX. that's just a wild guess, but it would kind of make sense. a step above the crossfire, but still a step below the vx. who knows, i guess we'll all find out eventually. later
-
maybe he really likes it. i don't know. or icarus had him jump it for a reason. who knows later
-
it's a typo on parachutists part. i e-mailed simon about it, and just got his response, and it is a proto type canopy. it is just in the testing stages now, no where near release. later

at my dad's old dz we had one. it was one of the worst ideas we ever had. it got nasty. no one ever cleaned it from all the spilled beer. it was cool for a month or so though. but all we did was take a regular refrigerator, drilled a hole in the side (for a tap) and then hooked it all up. another problem we had with it was ever time we had to change the keg, you had the turn the refrigerator and that was just a pain in the ass (due to where it was). later
-
it was done for me too. so your not the only one. later

if you sew it over, it won't hardly fit through the buckle. if you don't loosen it all the way out, you don't have to worry about it coming undone. as far as where you should stow it, it prefer on 1" chest straps it to be on the right, but it doesn't really matter. i know people who tie it on the left side, some that run it back through the buckle. as long as there is tension on the buckle, it will be fine. later
-
no, but the owner of the rig and I have very similar harness sizes see, that was the problem, i let it ALL the way out, it was very loose, and had a lot of slack in it. that's how it worked it's way out of the buckle. no big deal. i mean, once your under canopy it's kinda hard to fall out (unless you try). i still did a normal hook with it, just made a point to keep my shoulders back, and not lean forward (it was actually a 3 way team landing, this is way i was jumping this rig with a crossfire instead of mine with a vx, the other 2 had crossfires) later
-
i was jumping a rig like that for about 2 weeks (an odyssey) and just turned it back, and had no problem. but when i was under canopy and loosened it all the way up, the fucker came undone. so if you loosen you chest strap under canopy, don't let it all the way until there is about 1" left, leave a little extra later
-
well, like i said i have never tried it, but when i was talking to TJ langren about it he was saying you can't do it on the 27's.
-
is this the one that has 3 cells in the center that are open like a stilleto, and the the other 3 on either side are closed off like a normal crossfire (but smaller)?? later
