ya, but next time you'll make sure to use type E thread on the zp won't you and i think me and jonny both have had to re-do your seams at one point or another. not bad for your first time with zp though. your jump suit came out much better.
-
well first that takes $$ and i don't have a whole bunch of that. and second, i wouldn't have a clue what to get. later

damn, now i have to think of something else. i've had a split color wings already, this is my 3rd one. i just can't think of anything. oh well, i was thinking of asking if i can get some of the metalic material used on it like what's on my jumpsuit. then i would look like alchemy, oh well. we'll see. i just can't decide what i want, other than a wings later

i was considering this too later

partly from your rig but more from my canopy, and the canopy i want to order. lata
-
i need help picking my new rig that i'll be ordering. i have 2 options, but if you would like to post a pic of a color scheme that you think looks good, i'll defintally take a look at it. thanks
-
cool, thanks everyone. i think i got it.
-
like capture a picture of like the web page your on?? i am designing a rig and would like to get some opinions on which color scheme everyone likes best, but i can't seam to be able to get the picture of the rig off the page. oh ya, it's not a picture it's off the wings site color program. thanks

well ChileRelleno stopped by the dz yesterday
skygod7777 replied to skygod7777's topic in The Bonfire
chile stopped by yesterday to make a few jump on his way somewhere in his truck. well his first few jumps of the day where un-eventful. but the last one wasn't. it was a low pass in the caravan (5 grand) only 5 of us on the plane. well, me any my buddy wyatt decide to have a low pull contest, so we pull out the big canopies and go. well chile and the other 2 on the plane do a horny gorilla. on the way up we tell chile to hold onto alex as long as he could. well he did. alex got open about 2.5 k well chile kept going (knowing he was low) and tossed out about 1.5 k i guess, well just as his canopy opened all the way, his cypres fired. i have some pics of me landing in the spectator area after opening (on purpose) and some of chile holding his freebag after landing. but i lost the disk they where on at dinner last night. i'll try to get the pics from mary again, or maybe she'll post them. anyway, chile's a pretty cool guy, and he likes to make a good first impression at a dz. -
that's great. hahahahaha. my question is, Why did you choose to go with a PD instead of another canopy, really? later

i think he may mean that the velocity's crossbraces go all the way to the back, while on the fx, only 2 (i think, it's been a while since i jumped one) cells have the crossbraces gong all the way back. later

i wear mine on my wrist. i rarely look at it anymore, it's just kinda there. i look at the ground, and usually in tracking off about a second before my protrack goes off. i believe the people who where there alti's on there leg strap is more for the other jumpers to see rather than themselves. so if the whole team per say has all of there alti's on their leg straps then as your turning points you can just glance across the formation and see where you at, and don't have to look at your hand. but that's just what i thought, i very well could be wrong. later

Optimal wingloading for swoop distance vs. Speed.
skygod7777 replied to prost's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
i've heard some people are going to as low as 2.0 for what they think in optimal, while others are saying 2.1 or 2.2. i personally like 2.3, for any of the 3 you listed. that's what always seams to be the best wing loading for me at least. later -
i have seen a couple rigs like this, and the look of them seams to be the same as any other javelin out there. same goes for the wings that have the wingsuit mod on them, i put it on mine and can't tell a difference after i close it. now, when closing it, it's a bit more of a pain, because you have to pay more attention to the corner of the container to make sure that your bag isn't sticking out the side or something like that. later
-
what issues could occur?? i guess i have never thought of any cons to this, only pro's, those being that your lines have less chance of being stripped when you roll the bag into the container, or when it is lifted out by the pilot chute. the way i have always thought about it is the pilot chute has to lift it straight off your back, so why not just have it sitting that way before you close it. your right, this is very true. but i do know people who own javelin's and odyssey's that do this, and i have always packed them like this. and considering the guy who is asking about the dynamic corners jumps a javelin i though i would say what i did. i guess i haven't heard of this one, can you please elaborate?? i am very curious about what problems this could cause. thanks
-
ok, i was just wondering if i was the only one getting that. thanks
-
if your worried about what is happening with your line stows, why not leave it gromet up (not rolling the bag)?? this is how i pack every rig, unless it won't close and look right unless you roll it in (like a voodoo, or a mirage G4). later

any one else having problems getting on there?? i'm going to www.performancedesigns.com. maybe there's something i'm missing, i don't know. later

i liked "out of the blue" the icarus extreme video. you can find it at www.icaruscanopies.com later

i used to own a 84 fx, and demo'd a few velocity's (79, 85, and 96). the openings on both are great, i found the velocity sniveled longer than the fx (not a hole lot) but seamed to "hunt" a bit more. not a big deal at all though. the swoops on the velocity where longer than the fx. but i could still get my fx to go pretty good. but if you looking for a canopy to compete with, go with the velocity of vx. the fx just isn't up to the standard compared to these 2. later

haha, actually, no. i'm selling that to randy. i really need the money. i've got a old bonehead mindwarp that it's going on. i just prefur side mount, i don't really know why. hey, you want to sell your optic??

well, i went over to see my mom today. we get there, and i decide to go take my trv-11 to the best buy to see how much it would be to get fixed. well, they give my a rough estamate of like 3 to 4 hundred bucks. so i decide that's just not worth it. well we go back and look at some other camera's, and they didn't have what i wanted. i asked the sales dude if they did (a pc-105). well, he looks and he says he can order one. so, i tell the guy that i would be back more than likely, that i had to go think about it. well, my mom says "wait, i'll buy it". and i'm just stunned. she was like, i want to get you something for you birthday, that you really want so i'll buy you this. so my camera will be here like thurdays for friday. and all i can think is my mom fuckin rocks!! later

i do consider myself luck to be able to jump, and my dad was a dzo. that's how i started so young. and being from a family that owned a dz, i fully understand the wavier's, and the states that my have the law that a parent can't sign away the rights of thier child, and the child can't sign them away either. and weather the dz has the rule or not, why does USPA have that rule?? they say 16 year olds can jump, so why can't they compete?? later
