Hey maybe someday someone will organize an event for all the organizers of the top events of the decade? Hell I would actually get to jump at a boogie.(assuming I was invited) Well thats a lie I did get to make more jumps at SF 05 than I have at the previous 4 years combined, and at Mullins Memorial Day boogie. Out of the 20 something events I hit last year

A B S O L U T E L Y I just had a feeling that was the answer Actually, by the time you guys arrive in Rantoul, my confusion has had several days to set in already. Ahh come on now....We both know better than that...the confusion starts 2 days after the event ends..cause next year is already here. but yes during the event, confusion is allowed (just dont let anyone know) I have found that I have to drink a ton of water the first three days of our event, otherwise I dont have a voice for the awards ceremony sat. night.

Isn't that one of the requirements for being an RB? Btw, we have initiations at the Altar every night of the WFFC at midnight. And the ones I have seen at the WFFC well, lets just say that there is a lot to see from what I can remember

Hope you get what you want!!! Have a great one!

Your thread might get moved. Those guys are there every Friday. They are a blast to jump with! I miss them. Fun, safe jumps for all to enjoy. Glad you got to go. Will probably be in Kansas for the cessena boogie in Sept, I think both PD and Sun Path will be there. Hope to see you there.

Other SkyFest???? Can you help me out here?

Presto R. here, I bet we could do initiations on Friday night. There is a wedding going on and the fire show but I bet we could pull it off. The wedding will start just before sunset so plenty of time to get some more brothers (bumpy or not). Come to think about it I haven't been initaited yet either, made the jump on my 1000th. so there, who will organize it?

Hey Wendy are you doing Pops? Wait let me rephrase that, are you participating in the record attempt the weekend before?

Well since SF started almost six years ago , it might be the other way. I think the two events have their separate or their "own" qualities. We do have a coule of days where we focus on the young jumpers, then we schedule so that everyone gets to play and do want they want. Bigways, ff, raft, pink patch whatever. SF will have: 2 Otters 3 Balloons Mike Mullins KA Casa Helo. Steerman Bi plane on stand by Powered Parachute We are also be doing the Texas State Headdown Record and with that should come the TeXXas 20 way headdown patch (its first year to be issued). Lets see over 2500 jumps, freeflier hmmmm do you think you can handle a 20 way hd in Texas? Contact trentalkek@yahoo.com. if you think you can. You should give it a shot, there will be tons of Mfrg's attending and a gear auction sat. night. Come on Chris, we could use your talent there.

3rd annual Just Fer Us Boogie at Skydive Dallas
upndownshop replied to floormonkey's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Hey folks, if you have a chance to get to it, you should go. No I haven't been because of my job but I know the people and I've seen allot of pic's. Dallas is a great place to jump, plenty of outs and safe AC. So blow off work and go Skydive. Ron, you always blow off work so this should be a normal day for you Hey, ever thought of that write up, the website sure could use one from you ?? -
You mentioned a vendor discount and I am wondering what this discount is since there doesn't seem to be a difference in price from last year and this year. I don't understand that statement. Since the last several conventions, vendors and jumpers have been saying that they cannot afford to attend with the current prices and wouldn't return unless they dropped.Apparently all the requested feedback on how to make the event better wasn't taken into consideration again. This is sad. The 05 convention turn out proved that people prefered to go elsewhere. Frankly, I fail to see how ignoring the mfgrs request for lower fees is going to encourage them to come back this year. HUH?!! Once again Scott, I checked the records of what you paid in vendors fees last year (and every year I could find records for easily) and it seems that you should be the LAST person to complain about prices. I have already shared that info with a few people who have called to ask me what this silly thread has turned into, and they are really surprised that you would keep adding fuel to the fire. This is your answer to a popular vendor who brings people to your event? I see nothing silly about this thread. Well put Lou. You weren't the only vendor that shared tents that last few years either. I know the cost of running an event so I understand the challenges, but why dont you take a look at the other events that charge a vendor fee and look at their attendance. Charging the vendors in the industry is a thing of the past. In regards to early registration wasn't that only a $200.00 discount and it ended March 17th? We still dont have the packet, nor do others? No vendor fees is where this event needs to go. When it becomes the largest event in the world again, then you (WFFC) might be in a position to negotiate. WFFC is a major part of our history, has accomplished great things, lets figure out a way to keep it going, not end up in the history books this year. Hope I didnt come across as rude. But we still dont have an answer from Lou's questions. We would not be discussing this if it wasnt important. Thank you J
