I mentioned this to Chris yesterday. I think the boogie was well organized and it was a great success, assuming your numbers come out ok, and from the loads I think they will. The only observation I had that might want to be changed is the landing area. Although having the landing area, loading area and manifest all together makes it real exciting, it does however create an opportunity for an accident. The planes/taxi way need to be separate form the parachutes. People walking, landing, drug from the winds are all possibilities. Heck even the cutaway mains became an issue..Great spotting guys!! We can be as careful as we want, but the best way to avoid an accident is remove the risk from the activity. As we all know skydiving is risk management, its bad enough that the jump is not over till you are in the packing area (with all the canopies) but now we add taxing aircraft. I talked to Chris about how the new location would be laid out in hopes of giving him the opportunity to make some changes when designing it. Or at least something to think about. I am sure Chris will do his best and make it happen. Its not a question of "If" but "When" something will happen. Awesome event Chris!!!! We had a blast!! How many days till SkyFest????

here ya go www.skydivemrvs.com Last time I was at MRVS with free BBQ, I had two landings on one jump! see divit in asphalt behind hangar in front of manifest. Ask Tom he can point it out to you. Good luck with the boogie, MRVS is a great place to jump, big wide area, plenty of outs, just stay away from the hangar, its mine!!

Hey Jim, bring it to SkyFest. The pilot that brings the PP for us also has the balloons, and an amphibious trike. He is also the Aerobatic World Champion for PP's. I did a barrel roll with him quite awesome!! Remember: to take a passenger in one of those is for "instructional flights" only at least thats the way it was explained to me Have fun with that

I replied to your other thread immediately, by the time I hit send it was locked. We are hesistant to "commit" on prices, we are still working on AC, other items and vendors. We work hard to keep the prices down, they have always been between $30 and $40 for registration, wait thats not true, the first one (2001) was at $15 I believe. Since SF does not "belong" to a DZ we have very little control on the slots. I do know that SD Spaceland is cheaper than most TX dz's, maybe not all of them but at least ones with multiple turbines. We have a great relationship with Spaceland and I expect that the prices will be competitive. My guess is $21 at this time, no telling what fuel will do Lets not get into "slots should be cheaper at boogies" in this thread, not that you, mnealtx would. Just trying to keep the thread on track. Here's more for you. Not only would you walk up to the DZ to make your 1st jump and find out that this kid is packing your first chute, but when you landed after following the bright orange paddles to guide you back, it was the same kid telling you when to turn your canopy. Never got paid for the time I spent with those paddles, dammit Dad you took advantage of me.
