fixed that for you.....I believe that would be the more accurate description of the process, at least in your case. You are incorrect. You do not understand how the counseling profession functions. Check it out with Dr. Steve Groff. Do you not think that it is possible that some one who is Gay could be so guilt ridden and confused, about his sexuality, due to the way a large portion of the population thinks of them? That this same person could believe that they may be able to "pray away the Gay" when all of the available evidence says otherwise. As a mental health counselor, Do you believe you should not provide evidence based treatment when it contradicts with your religious beliefs? Have you ever thought that a person should recuse them self if they are unable to separate their religion with their professional practice?

Have you noticed the erosion of the middle class over the last 30 years? Every year more and more of the countries wealth is funneled to the top 2%. At the current rate that the wealth of this country is being lost by the 98%, in 25 years from now , the middle class will be non-existent. Increasing the tax rate for the top 2% to the same rate as it was under Clinton will not solve every problem, it's a start. Cutting taxes and then passing the drug bill and starting 2 wars without funding was a joke. How many Republicans voted against raising the debt limit when Dubya was President? It sure didn't seem to be an issue until now. Eric Cantor and the crew sure seem to distort the truth when you hear them say that Americans don't want a tax increase right now, they don't, but the majority of Americans want one for the top 2%. Obama does not want to raise taxes on 98% of the population but you would never hear the right say that.

Planned parenthood is not allowed to receive government funding to support abortion. The Federal and State Government has no business promoting curative therapy for Gays, not a single scientific study has ever supported it.

I don't believe he can on US soil or concrete. I always thought he was going to go easy on Islam, being Islamic himself and all.

Michelle bachmann is a co owner along with her husband who runs a mental heath care clinic, that has on occasion received tax payer dollars for the clinic to fix these gay barbarians (his words not mine) I don't know about you, but every time I see him my gaydar goes off just a bit. http://www.businessinsider.com/abc-news-confirms-bachmann-clinic-used-pray-away-the-gay-therapy-2011-7

*** No, we're all born dumber than a vat of shite...if you want to remain that way, I guess thet'a your problem... You stopped growing (in any sense of the word) years ago. Your posting history in these forums are proof enough of that.

Nope, not my argument, and we both know your statement has no validity. God only reveals Himself by way of humility and faith. Once contact has been made the fulfillment God gives to the individual's concept of reality justifies the faith. ... For the overwhelming majority of the worlds believers, geography and the beliefs of their parents dictates what flavor of religion they will believe in. Remember, we are all born Atheist.

As a former guest on his TV productions and attending a church with one of his campaign strategists, I know of Pat Robertson's belief, style and success. From that perspective, I have applauded some of his work and frowned at other aspects. I could say the same for a lot of the good done by Jim Jones, but Sometimes all the bad negates any of the good. -
Nope. The canal system was initiated by evil corporations. Most of the canals were constructed between the 1870s and 1920s. Not until the 1930's did the federal government move in to "negotiate" riparian rights. In the 1950's, landowners voted for the issuance of bonds in order to buy the water rights from the San Joaquin Canal Company. The landowners then formed the quasi-governmental Central California Irrigation District. SO it was private industry and private landowners who bought the rights and the land and formed a district to help set up rules between them. Dams, etc., were then funded by the goverment through the depression era. Nowadays, there is CALFED, which is insolvent and ridiculous. You know, Jeanne, so much of this is available with simple online searches. These were things that were created by private enterprise. Then government took it over, told them what they could and could not do, etc. Again, your subjective personal feelings radically conflict with fact. As is usually the case, the way you wanted it to be and the way it was differ. Note - the levees are a frigging mess right now. Of course, they aren't privately owned anymore. Maintaining the levees has been the political equivalent of maintaining bridges - no funding because you can't name levee maintenance after a politician. When did private industry ever contribute to anything even close to bringing water to southern California like the California Aqueduct? The vast majority of central valley water projects are from public works. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Aqueduct

Which God? ALL of the several thousand that have been worshiped through the ages and then forgotten, or do you have a particular one in mind? When you understand why you dismiss all of the thousands of other Gods, then you will know why I dismiss yours. ( author unknown)

If that's the case, give them the water but not the money. Why? they still could not make money unless they get price supports from the government. The two main crops that leach off the taxpayers in California are cotton and rice, not to mention that they consume the most water. There are three main components to a very large portion of central valley agriculture: Water, Government subsidies and cheap undocumented labor. Remove any one of those and it's no longer economically viable.

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2011/07/13/obama’s-popularity-in-arab-world-now-lower-than-bush’s/ Well that"s strange. I thought Obama was like this secret Islamic plant that was trying to implement Sharia law into the US. I'm fairly certain the boys at fox told me since his dad was a Muslim and since Obama spent so much time in the madras as a child and he was like a Muslim Manchurian canidate, and that when the time was right, he was going to help all the terrorist overthrow the westenr world. -
The reason they want the water is to grow crops that are only profitable after the federal government pays them subsities, it's nothing more than corporate welfare, for the rich; yes the majority of the money goes to corporate farmers and not family farms. I always thought those proud right wing farmers detested handouts from the government. If a buisness can not stand up on it's own two feet, then market forces should take over.

Nothing there besides youtube and old news stories from 2009. I stand by the state of California's own unemployment figures of May 2011 for the counties used By Lawrocket. Better yet, the US department of labor June 2011 employment stats. http://www.bls.gov/web/metro/laummtrk.htm The 41% stats are from the farmers that survive on welfare from the government and want more cheap water. These 41% figures were extrapolated from the 2000 census and are fucking bullshit. once again provide real stats to back your claim. http://valleyecon.blogspot.com/2010/12/census-bureau-finds-mendota.html

Your on the loosing end of history. Just in the last 10 years, public opinion has shifted in favor of Gay marriage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_opinion_of_same-sex_marriage_in_the_United_States Using the bible as an example as to why there should be no Gay marriage is akin to how the south used the bible to justify slavery. Just like through the vast majority of human history there was slavery and all sorts atrocities, legacies are not always good things Leaving behind practices that started in the bronze age are probably a good thing. The polygamy argument is pretty weak, i'm surprised you didn't use the old " I should be able to marry my sheep" argument.

Fresno? Tulare? Kings? We have the POOREST counties in California. The largest percentage of Latinos and Hmongs anywhere in CA. Your party's bigoted water policies lead to 41% unemployment - primarily the Latinos who work the farms. But they're just redneck farmers and Mexican immigrants. Yes, Jeanne - 41% unemployment. 41%, says who? http://www.calmis.ca.gov/file/lfmonth/lf_geomaps.pdf

You left out a few things: Unemployment hit 10.8% during the Gippers first term, the highest then since the depression. I know you have enough self respect not to blame Jimmy. the majority of his jobs were created during his second term. unemployment rose during his first term. Guess who historically has created the most jobs? If you guessed Democrat, you guessed right. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jobs_created_during_U.S._presidential_terms And how soon people forget about Gonzo and taxes. http://money.cnn.com/2010/09/08/news/economy/reagan_years_taxes/index.htm
