If you evaluate the claims of 1,000 religions, at most 1 of them is right. The more likely number, however, is 0. As the old quote goes: "When you understand why you dismiss all of the other possible Gods, you will then understand why I dismiss yours."

This explains the Congressmen and their wealthy backers. What it does not explain and what I've never understood are those people that make less than $100,000 per year that support them. Those people. to me, make absolutely no sense whatsoever since very, very little, if anything, the Republican Party currently does has any benefit to them. Because 90% of them are just plain GOAT FUCK STUPID... and really believe they will eventually get their TRICKLE.. Because that is what they have been taught to believe by people like the KOCH Brothers. They are also hopeful they will get their TRICKLE before the RAPTURE occurs but if not.. GOD will take care of everything. I have noticed some of the not so rich Republicans believe in the old "The tea party says 'm not going to be goat fuck stupid forever, someday, I will make a million dollars and i'll be God dammed if i'm gonna let those liberal sons a bitches take it from me."

Worked pretty well for the first 7 years...then the Dems took over and tripled the deficit the first year, and quadrupled *that* the next. I suppose that Bush leaving the economy in the fucking shitter had nothing to do with it. The tax cuts maybe worked out well for you, as they did for me, but perhaps not so much for the country.

Clinton raised taxes, and what did we get? "In 1993, President Clinton and Vice President Gore launched their economic strategy: (1) establishing fiscal discipline, eliminating the budget deficit, keeping interest rates low, and spurring private-sector investment; (2) investing in people through education, training, science, and research; and (3) opening foreign markets so American workers can compete abroad. After eight years, the results of President Clinton’s economic leadership are clear. Record budget deficits have become record surpluses, 22 million new jobs have been created, unemployment and core inflation are at their lowest levels in more than 30 years, and America is in the midst of the longest economic expansion in our history. President Clinton’s Record on the Economy: In 1992, 10 million Americans were unemployed, the country faced record deficits, and poverty and welfare rolls were growing. Family incomes were losing ground to inflation and jobs were being created at the slowest rate since the Great Depression. Today, America enjoys what may be the strongest economy ever. Strong Economic Growth: Since President Clinton and Vice President Gore took office, economic growth has averaged 4.0 percent per year, compared to average growth of 2.8 percent during the Reagan-Bush years. The economy has grown for 116 consecutive months, the most in history. Most New Jobs Ever Created Under a Single Administration: The economy has created more than 22.5 million jobs in less than eight years—the most jobs ever created under a single administration, and more than were created in the previous 12 years. Of the total new jobs, 20.7 million, or 92 percent, are in the private sector. Median Family Income Up $6,000 since 1993: Economic gains have been made across the spectrum as family incomes increased for all Americans. Since 1993, real median family income has increased by $6,338, from $42,612 in 1993 to $48,950 in 1999 (in 1999 dollars). Unemployment at Its Lowest Level in More than 30 Years: Overall unemployment has dropped to the lowest level in more than 30 years, down from 6.9 percent in 1993 to just 4.0 percent in November 2000. The unemployment rate has been below 5 percent for 40 consecutive months. Unemployment for African Americans has fallen from 14.2 percent in 1992 to 7.3 percent in October 2000, the lowest rate on record. Unemployment for Hispanics has fallen from 11.8 percent in October 1992 to 5.0 percent in October 2000, also the lowest rate on record. Lowest Inflation since the 1960s: Inflation is at the lowest rate since the Kennedy Administration, averaging 2.5 percent, and it is down from 4.7 percent during the previous administration. Highest Homeownership Rate on Record: The homeownership rate reached 67.7 percent for the third quarter of 2000, the highest rate on record. In contrast, the homeownership rate fell from 65.6 percent in the first quarter of 1981 to 63.7 percent in the first quarter of 1993. 7 Million Fewer Americans Living in Poverty: The poverty rate has declined from 15.1 percent in 1993 to 11.8 percent last year, the largest six-year drop in poverty in nearly 30 years. There are now 7 million fewer people in poverty than there were in 1993. Establishing Fiscal Discipline and Paying off the National Debt President Clinton’s Record on Fiscal Discipline: Between 1981 and 1992, the national debt held by the public quadrupled. The annual budget deficit grew to $290 billion in 1992, the largest ever, and was projected to grow to more than $455 billion by Fiscal Year (FY) 2000. As a result of the tough and sometimes unpopular choices made by President Clinton, and major deficit reduction legislation passed in 1993 and 1997, we have seen eight consecutive years of fiscal improvement for the first time in America’s history. Largest Surplus Ever: The surplus in FY 2000 is $237 billion—the third consecutive surplus and the largest surplus ever. Largest Three-Year Debt Pay-Down Ever: Between 1998-2000, the publicly held debt was reduced by $363 billion—the largest three-year pay-down in American history. Under Presidents Reagan and Bush, the debt held by the public quadrupled. Under the Clinton-Gore budget, we are on track to pay off the entire publicly held debt on a net basis by 2009. Lower Federal Government Spending: After increasing under the previous two administrations, federal government spending as a share of the economy has been cut from 22.2 percent in 1992 to 18 percent in 2000—the lowest level since 1966. Reduced Interest Payments on the Debt: In 1993, the net interest payments on the debt held by the public were projected to grow to $348 billion in FY 2000. In 2000, interest payments on the debt were $125 billion lower than projected. Americans Benefit from Reduced Debt: Because of fiscal discipline and deficit and debt reduction, it is estimated that a family with a home mortgage of $100,000 might expect to save roughly $2,000 per year in mortgage payments, like a large tax cut. Double Digit Growth in Private Investment in Equipment and Software: Lower debt will help maintain strong economic growth and fuel private investments. With government no longer draining resources out of capital markets, private investment in equipment and software averaged 13.3 percent annual growth since 1993, compared to 4.7 percent during 1981 to 1992". We have now had 10 years of the Bush tax cuts, Hows that working out for ya?

Democrats parade out Gabrielle Giffords for their own political gain.

Obama regime? that's real original, you folks crack me up, gee I wonder who taught you that one. Qualified? She is an elected member of Congress. It wasn't like they needed her vote, but it's good to see she's pissing off some ditto heads. -
No Democratic compromise on Healthcare? It was only 2 years ago, surely your memory is not that bad. Remember it went from single payer to the water downed crap he ended up with. Just so I have it straight, you claim Obama got everything in the health bill he wanted. What he proposed in the beginning is the same that's in the final bill?

Big labor gave almost 500 million to politicians between 89-09 (roughly 90% Dem, 10% Rep). The next closest was the investments sector at 200 million (roughly 50/50 split). I never said the money would only be going to Republicans.

I agree with most everything your saying, I'm just saying see how well well it works out cutting SS and MC for the elderly, it will never happen. To blame seniors for the actions of yesterdays politicians is pointless. We never get the person we voted for. they all turn into turds as soon as they take office. With the recent SC decision to let corporations contribute to campaigns, we pretty much are doomed.

If there were so few problems with textual variations and changes made by scribes, why would the writer of Revelation say this: Rev 22:19 "Or I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book". Funny, how just a few years after the death of Jesus, it appears changing the text was already an issue, not to mention that it is widely accepted that some of Paul's letters are not genuine,

Yea , old people are funny that way when they are faced with homelessness and no medical care. And it's all their fault, fucking priceless.

I stand corrected, I should have stated the NT.

What you fail to realize is I have no obligation to prove anything. The person making the claim (There is a God) has not presented sufficient evidence to convince me otherwise. If I claim there is an invisible man living in the trunk of my car, would I claim he is real because you fail prove he isn't? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Chris Christy, Jon Kyl, Tom Coburn, President Clinton, to name 4. I would agree with you on all of them being competent. I would also most likely never vote for them because they do not represent my views. (With the exception of #4) When you claim someone is 100% incompetent, you loose the audience you wish to sway. Those who are 100% incompetent have people appointed by the courts to watch over them, no matter how much you try and wish it so, this would not include our current President. I could also spend 5 minutes on the web and find stupid things every one on your list has said. But that would be disingenuous, because we all know every person in politics has said stupid things. I do find it entertaining that all these Republicans have a new found love for Clinton, I remember well how he was treated by the right.

The low number of post when in conjunction with a registry of a few days, no profile, starting 4 nearly identical threads, and obvious trolling, tells me a person here is not to be taken seriously. You on the other hand may choose to take such a person seriously. Viva La Difference.

*** Since none of us lived 2000 years ago, we will never know the context of the bible. If Christians were fighting with each other over interpretation before, during, and after the bible was written, How could we even pretend to claim we know the true message today. That's not even adding in the complication that Every early manuscript, of every Gospel we have, is a copy of a copy of a copy. The early manuscripts were changed by so many people, for so many reasons, we have absolute proof of that.

They were voted in to get the Muslim Kenyan out of the White House. remember the old "Lets take our country back' Every poll showed the tea baggers thought Obama was Muslim, a Kenyan, a socialist. The tea baggers represent a large portion of the small group of idiots this country is blessed to have.

It's a very patriotic song. Your saying the song is unpatriotic because he is singing about women and gays wanting the same rights as everyone else? What an outrage wanting equal rights in this country. First the colored folk and now the Gays? The song was named after her tennis team, and I knew what the song was about when I was 13 in 1975. A better example would be "Born in the USA" When Reagan used it in his campaign in 84, thinking it was Patriotic. The song was patriotic, but not for the reasons Reagan thought. I always likes Greenwood's "stand up" live performances where all those right wingers 'Gladly stand up" in the comfort of a live performance and not at the recruiters office.

Affirmative action at it's finest? It would really seem so. The guy only graduates from Harvard Law school and Becomes a US senator and then is elected President.

You would admit that not all Christians interpret Scripture the same? I'm sure that you will tell us, that you and your sect alone have been given the ability to correctly interpret the Bible. So out of all the countless different Christian sects that try to convince us that they are the true Christians, you are it. I would suggest anyone who thinks they hear God, are either not understanding their thought process or are Schizophrenic. When you understand why you dismiss all of the other Gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.

Tell us who you think is competent?

If you're judging the validity of people's political opinions based upon the number of posts they make, then you're way off base. Just sayin'. Making more posts here, does not increase how smart you are. In fact, it might just make you dumber, judging by the low quality of some of the frequent posters. So I would advise ignoring that kind of info in judging a post, and just judge it on its on content. But whatidunno, I've only got 20 posts... It was obvious this person(s) was hiding behind a ficticious SN. Not only did he have only a couple of post and no profile, he only registered a few days earlier. He was also obviously trolling. You may only have 20 post, but you have been registered for almost 10 years, a slight difference.
