You are posing more then one question here. 3. A. to 1... no won't fit any current made or old school bellywarts. A. to 2. yes A. to 3, no not with a PC If you could provide some more details as to what it is you are trying to do and why you think you want to do it that way and with a PC, those of who still fool with them and those who used to fool with them and have rigged up all kinds of crazy shit...... might be better able to provide you with an in depth way to go about what you want to do and a reasonably safe way to attempt it..... Or not YMMV. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Mine is a 96 and fairly low SN number, has Velcro instead of snaps on risers, still has the OMP BOD on it and it looks pretty much like it did out of the box in 96. It's been back to the factory for couple upgrades, all for free I might add, when I sent it back to upsize harness. Is it as built as my Jav.... no, but it way more comfortable then my Jav. Bottom line here is, if you take care of um, like any rig, you will get your monies worth out of it. It was designed as a low budget, starter rig or for those of us who don't give a shit about stainless and articulated HC's. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Yea go to both and sit back and keep your ears & eyes open and your mouth shut, make a number of trips to both, then make up your mind what one you like the best to call home, and keep the other one for a get away. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

It all depends on what you want out of a rig, what your budget is and what kind of skydiving you plan to do. I think it's kind of funny how many people like to chime in on here and in the industry who all like to talk shit about the dolphin rigs like there nothing but junk, when that is the farthest thing from the truth. Frankly I think wings rigs are a hunk of shit and I wouldn't pay 500 bucks for one let alone 1400. Way better rigs on the market for that kind of equipment, IMHO. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Oh your right I forgot he said earlier 7 cell f-111 type. I've seen those call Ralph canopies before 15 yrs ago, so was trying to remember, then the talk of PISA came up and I'm pretty sure the one I had seen was a skymaster, sorry for the confusion. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Yea I know just what you mean.... I did my first on a T-10 and my second was on the PC and everyone was in fuss about not having the 50 jumps to use a PC... freaking out till the canopy opened and i realized.... WTF was the fuss all about...LOL you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo -
Man you should see the 1974 SST I got from Billy Weber, it was his dads... while not mint condition, it's still very airworthy and jumpable, for those who understand the "complexity" of such vintage gear.... LOL you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

They still make them for the military. That jumbo you and Kurt were bidding on is what drives up prices. Because then everyone uses that as a base for market price.... I have two jumbo's, love them, but the 27 Russian is really nice as well. You were willing to spend the big bucks on that jumbo canopy.... I know where there is a mint condition 1980 wonderhog with reserve and a 27 Russian with only a handful of jumps on it..... as in New old stock! Guy wants a thousand dollars for it. But it is really nice. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo -

Uwe, While I'm no expert here, it seems to me that, this canopy is a PC mark 1, no way to know with out inflating it. The markings would normally state MK-1, 2, RW etc. Tel-star # 89 is clearly stamped as well, but below the mark PC 676774 I have never seen a PC marked like that, but that means nothing..... because I have seen some marked strangely for those in the civilian worlds. What I can tell you is, after looking at those photos and having packed a whole lot of PC's, that is a PC, clearly. What model, can say from those pics. Looks like a nice canopy in close up pics.... she also had another PC in a blue sleeve that looked real nice too... that said all her stuff is way over priced IMHO, but seems today people will pay it. Good luck. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo -

So the liquid diet weight loss plan was popular back then? Well, I woke up Sunday morning With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt. And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad, So I had one more for dessert. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo -

I hear you. It's just an answer in a real world format and it's what you can expect to find in today's industry in a fair amount of places. What you take from that is on you. But you need to understand the fact is, the more hats you wear the more professional you are = more value you are to me as a DZO. You can make a good living as a professional skydiver if you are willing to live that way and have the skills and ratings to do it. A lot of people started as packers! But now days it's an FAR and a lot more places are requiring a rigging ticket to pack for hire. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

Still have one, kept it to use for storage at long events. -2 Flashlights one in the gear bag one in the tent.(One always breaks) -Big plastic trash bags. These are good for those rainy nights. Put your bags in them and anything else you want to keep dry. I also have a contractor bag for the sleeping bag. You can usually mooch a couple off the DZ if you are stuck. -Tarp. Nice to have but not a must -Tarp, hammer, pliers, knife, nylon cord, needle and nylon thread. Nice to have but not a must -duck-tape. A must. -Earplugs (because the couple next door parties hard and have loud ---) and eye mask(It gets light "early" when you are up till 3am) *** That is what is great sleeping in a "rv" you can move it and it has blinds to keep the light out. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
