Where do you find this? Skydive Radio

It just happened to a friend of mine last month. I was lucky enough to be out of town or it might have been me. Student chucked in freefall. My understanding is that it was like a power hose of puke spray. More got on the student, but some got on my friend (tm) as well. That was cool to see the Skydive AZ Otter on that show. We were just jumping that very airplane last month at Couchfreaks. Skydive Radio

Ramon, I have been considering switching to a vx but have not been able to demo one. Were you able to do so before you bought yours? There are none at my dz that I can borrow. Skydive Radio

How do you transfer a vhs video to you computer?
diverds replied to Rookeskydiver's topic in The Bonfire
I have used the above method and it works quite well. Skydive Radio -
I would like a copy of that. Could you please send it to me at dave@skydivelspc.com? Thanks a bunch. BTW, an easier and more flexible way to do titles is Adobe After Effects. Edit your stuff in Premier, save it, and then import it into After Effects. Skydive Radio

I like the carving 270's as well. I also do mine to the right in most cases just because I feel I have more strength in my right arm. However, like the above poster mentioned, if there is an obsticle that can be taken out of the equation by making the turn to the opposite direction I will also opt to do that. Skydive Radio

Depends on the particular FX. Some of the canopies have a reputation of opening hard, others are great. I have an FX loaded at 2.2 (my third) that was giving me some real slammers. It was getting to the point that I was almost debating weather or not to pull at all because it hurt so bad sometimes. About 1 in 3 of my openings was like this. I talked with Icarus about it and they told me that many of the FX's built by Precision were having this problem. They advised me to move my brake setting up 2.5 inches which I did. Since then I have had nothing but beautifully soft openings. I jump camera with it on a regular basis now with no worries. Precision no longer builds canopies for Icarus and I have not heard of problems with the canopies built by their other manufacturing plants out of country. Hope this helps. P.S. I like the canopy very much. Skydive Radio

I use the 2000 version to stay sharp on IFR skills like holding patterns and situational awareness. It has every navaid from the jep database so you can use actual approach plates to fly instrument approaches. Pretty cool. Skydive Radio

Do yourself a favor and buy a Sony. Both the PC and TRV modles have similar features and take great quality video. PC = Side mount configuration, TRV = Top mount configuration. There are many different opinions on side vs top mount. Personally I prefer top mount, but you will need to decide what your prefrence is. Sony is the most supported brand when it comes to buying your helmet and extras. I jump a bonhead Optik with a D-box and a cameye2. It is a super clean system and very light weight. If you do a search in this forum you will be able to find a ton of information on different cameras/helmets/mounting options/sights etc. Good luck. Skydive Radio

Im doing great. So why are you switching helmets? Did the other one get dammaged i the accident? If so have you checked out boneheads line? I have an optik and am very happy with it. If you are looking for something bigger check out their flat top pro. It will be my next camera helmet. Cya. Skydive Radio

Don't know anything about it, but wondering how you are doing? Heard you got hurt awhile back. Everything okay now? You back jumping? Skydive Radio

Did you buy this all as a package? The pc-1 is an older camera right? If it was bought as a package why don't you ask the previous owner. He/she could probably give you good insight into all the operating issues. Skydive Radio

The Sigma drouge has a more centered attachment point like the Strong rig. Should be similar as far as angle in freefall. Skydive Radio
