  4. I am curious why you would have to remove the camera before pulling handles? The camera is in about the same position as a wrist mount altimeter right? I don't understand. Skydive Radio

  9. If you set the drouge 10 or more seconds before you pull you should still have a normal opening. Skydive Radio
  10. Don't know if I would call that an out of sequence deployment since the container is still closed and the drouge is still in the pouch. As the poster above said, all you are doing on a Strong rig is turning the drouge into a big ass pilot chute. I have jumped the strong tandem like this several times on demo jumps carrying large flags. Works just fine. Skydive Radio

    Stalling

With your canopy and wing loading you should have no problem. I jump an Icarus FX loaded at 2.2 and a Triatholon loaded at 1.6. The Triatholon I stall on almost every jump just because I enjoy stalls. The Icarus I have only stalled a couple of times to find the stall point and I probably will not do it again as it gets very radical and induces many line twists. If you have any doubts about your canopy a good rule of thumb would be to never stall it below an altitude that you would be combfortable cutting away from. Hope this helps. Skydive Radio
  12. Well thats better than too slow. I shot a tandem this weekend with a 135lb tandem master and a 130lb student. I have a camera suit with a full wing and I could not stay up with them. My protrac said my average fall rate was 103 so they must have been doing 100 or less! Skydive Radio

  14. Ive been in drougless tandem freefall several times. Pretty weird feeling going that fast on your belly. Makes the camera man earn his pay too. Skydive Radio
  15. I used to jump with a CD player all the time. I really liked it for the climb to altitude. Skydive Radio

  20. Clay, If you zoom in very far with a wide angle lense the picture will get grainy. You can get away with some zooming in, but if you go very far at all and then play your video on a good tv you will notice a signifigant difference in picture quality. I have a Kenko .43 myself, and am considering buying a .5 for things like filming rw or any other shot I am trying to get without having to fly very close. Skydive Radio
