  1. No. You're not. And I wonder how many of you folks remember what happened to "Dead Mike." rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  2. Under what theory would a married gay couple be able to evade the "Marriage Tax," Mark? It appears to be a non-issue that you've invented for the purpose of taking another cheap shot. If you're going to invent an issue, please illustrate it with a scenario which would cause it to come into being. As far it relates to IRS, the disadvantages of the "Marriage Tax" are far outweighed by the other tax advantages, including one's ability to transfer money between spouses without limit, tax free. Also, in a large estate, this means that--at least for the first to die--estate taxes effectively do not exist (if you've done the appropriate planning). So about that scenario... rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  3. Oh what the hell... You married Alex, didn't you? I'd say that's right up there at the top of the "mean to self" list. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  4. If I were married to your husband, I'd wear pants and a chastity belt. You're a very brave woman. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  5. Are you going to go the trouble of opposing it? If not, then I suppose it doesn't matter. You can be disgusted by whatever you want, as long as you don't interfere in lives that are not yours to control. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  6. Not to mention your virgin eyes, right? If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  7. But there went your argument about the definition of marriage, don't you see? That's the point. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  8. But it's not a redefinition of marriage. Didn't you look at the link? Besides being approved by God, such marriage arrangements were culturally acceptable at the time. Historically, all kinds of unions have met with approval at one time or another, in one culture or another. Are you willing to say that all those unions aren't marriage, even though the culture of which they were a part defined them so? rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  9. Well when you have been married for 8 years you take what you can get. I was never one to inspect a ladies asshole how about you? How do you...um...have you ever...well, maybe not. Never mind. If you need to bleach your asshole to get it clean, you have a much bigger problem than your sex life being limited to the missionary position. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. 10. Gays are asking for the same legal privileges accorded to those who enter into heterosexual unions. I don't think we need to make the sticking point what we call their union. It is discrimination of the worst sort to bar homosexuals from the health benefits and tax breaks and other legal rights I, as a heterosexual, would be permitted if I were married. God considered polygany to be a legitimate form of marriage. Does polyganous marriage fit within your definition of what a marriage is? Here, for your edification are several more forms of marriage approved by God: http://www.religioustolerance.org/mar_bibl.htm Get back to me after you've had an opportunity to review these, especially the ones that are based on rape. Oh, I almost forgot, my flat out answer to your question--both of them, actually--is "No." rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  11. They should mind their own damn business. No problem at all. My daughter used to read rec.skydiving. Once or twice she even posted. I had no problem with it. I don't think it matters. It's up to your mother, not to the busybodies who are trying to tell her how to parent. Where do they get off? rl P.S. Tell your mom I said hi. 12. I guess this means that lesbian marriage is okay with you? If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  13. Not that old, unfortunately: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=search_results&search_forum=all&search_string=budgies&search_type=AND&search_fields=sb&search_time=&search_user_username=&sb=post_time&mh=100 Sorry. 14. I think this thread belongs in the Bonfire. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  15. Well, Bill was quoting Leviticus (and Jude and Corinthians) to gay-bash. Is Leviticus the Old Testament or the New? I forget. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1987362#1987362 If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  16. I imagine you're aware of the doors this just opened for some...COUGHcocheseCOUGH!
  17. No, that wasn't the point. That was never the point. You didn't merely hijack the thread, you twisted the meaning and purpose of the the thread, and now you're trying to obfuscate the real issue again. rl No, I didn't. Please see above. Yes you did. And no I will not. There is no "Militant Homosexual Agenda" but I do see another agenda entirely. And because most of it is predicated on fallacies and lies, I can't even argue it because it's so twisted and illogical. It's a very hypnotic and seductive path, because what people who aren't paying attention will often do is just go on along the way they are led. That's why it's called manipulation. But to someone who has been paying attention, you're so far off course now that it is not the same discussion. That's fine in a certain kind of thread. But that kind of thread is not this thread. Why don't you go start your own thread? Preferably on the other side of the internet. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  18. No, that wasn't the point. That was never the point. You didn't merely hijack the thread, you twisted the meaning and purpose of the the thread, and now you're trying to obfuscate the real issue again. It is not a "Militant Homosexual Agenda" to demand to be safe on the streets. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  19. None of the above. Well, maybe snuggling; it's cold outside. No books. No distractions. Sex, sex and more sex. Oh, and maybe takeout, since it's a 24 hour thing. Reminder to self: When Kevin's posting, remember to be painfully specific. I would love it except it's all too true. SC is full of 'em. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  20. I shave. When I finally get fed up with that, I may go with laser removal. And that's where I draw the line. If a guy wants a bleached butt, he doesn't want mine. Good grief, what next?! If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  21. Keep fighting. It should be obvious to you that everyone cares and everyone is thinking of you. What is obvious to me is that as bad as it is for you, you still appear to have a grip. Don't let go. There's probably nothing worse than chronic pain, chronic anything. Of all the troubles in the world, it makes one not want to get up in the morning, because there seems to be no end in sight. You know that it's supposed to be worse before it's better. With that in mind, focus on what you can still do, instead of what you can't, and remember that this isn't forever. It isn't forever. And you can get through it and past it. Don't let the fear of it make you suffer more than you already are. No vibes, no prayers--not my style, exactly--just a strong hope that it will all pass sooner rather than later. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  22. That doesn't make any sense. In the context of what he was replying to, and in the larger context of this thread, it makes perfect sense. Its the fulfillment of the quote he was quoting from the movie we were quoting from. Which still makes about as much sense as the rest of this thread, which makes no sense at all. My brain is mush. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  23. I can say the same for certain heterosexual men and women, starting with those odd folks who hang around small airports wearing weird, multi-colored (often clashing) "overalls" (with booties, no less). And the things they wear under them are shocking, just shocking. That is, if they wear anything at all. Apart from those people, I strongly suggest you take an hour off this afternoon and go walk around WalMart. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

  25. Good morning sweetie. How are ya ? Shutup Jeff. What was the scale again? I feel like staying in bed all day today...but not by myself. That's my answer. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
