Smokey, here's your article. I was able to bring out a little more detail in the photos... hope this meets with your approval. Regards - G. So Georger it is you who has finally put Duane in contact with a parachute - however tenuous the link. The article mentions Kissinger was the judge I think somebody should check to see if Duane is really dead! -

There was a guy who posted here for a while - I cna't remember his "name" but I think he was the one who passed away - possibly either dbcoopercatcher or his partner. I seem to recall he got extremely agitated at one point about the effect that Cooper had had on the stews - talking about nightmares and other pysch problems (in fact, from his reaction I thought he might be a family member but it appears he wasn't.) So this isn't a first, and from what the guy had written (not sure if I have the energy to search) it sounded very much like he knew what he was talking about. Pity he like others got hounded out of here by A Certain Someone; because there certainly are enough other suspects at least as viable as someone who listed his occupation as "crook" and (rather hopefully?) stayed at "Treasure Island". Myers & Dvorak (Leftcoast & Eastcoast) in the Ted Mayfield fiasco. They went on TV and accused Mayfield of being Cooper, things got hot, and Leftcoast (Myers) suddenly died of MS or an auto accident or something. I think what Blevins said about Tina is equally "tasteless" and crude.

I have never seen this article before and is it real or one of those things someone has printed up for fun? July 29, 1957 - if he really was arrested at Treasure Island - why wasn't he sent to prison in Florida? How did he end up in Canon City in 1960. 1960 he is sent to Canon City and I have the picture of that incarceration - both before and after. The after didn't look much like the guy who was released. I also have the records from Canon. No place does it mention an arrest in FL nor an incarceration in FL. He was released from Folsom on March 18, 1957 and on paroled until May 5 1959 in the state of CA Then he is convicted in Colorado on Sept 9, 1960 and paroled on June 16 1962 - he had passed to them from El Paso County. So what happened? He is released on parole on March 18, 1957 from Folsum and then in July of the same yr he is in FL. He would have been in violation of parole in CA. which did not expire until May of 1959. The records I have do not show any FL arrests or convictions.... other than a DUI when he was arrested in Jacksonville, Fl around 1977 - he was also in possession of pistol on that arrest. If it's fake certainly not by me. Regardless the authenticity would be easy enough to check either through the paper or police. In the second article it states that he is in violation of parole in CA and Ohio. Petty larceny is what he is booked on and lodged in the county jail for. Would one would go to prison for that - or county jail / fine? Not sure what they would have done about the parole violations from other states. Today seems like they would send him back but maybe they didn't have the resources or motivation to do this in the late 50s. Edited to defer to 377 on this.... Of 1957 I have no authority with which to speak. In Georger word's I was still an undecidable then.

Georger says in part:' By the way Blevin's big production is introduced with a MYTH. Blinding Storm - who has ever said there was a BLINDING Storm - MORE MYTHS. Please colate-edit. I did not say this. Jo sayed that.

Absolutely OM. I just cranked up the DSP and now everything is intelligible. 377 DSP is a good anology. Its like when one chicken hears the other chicken, in a herd of chickens, ... and they get married and have little chickens, and live happily ever after ... without attornies!

Georger, Sluggo, what is the Science Team up to? Why did they go silent? Did they disband or stop work? 377 Using the metadistribution of possible distributions for a given measure, we define a condition under which it is possible to make a decision based on the observation of random variables, which we call "statistical decidability". We provide a sufficient condition on the metadistribution for the decision to be "statistically decidable" and conjecture that decisions based on that metadistribution with non compact support, are always "statistically undecidable". There is the need for a strong undefeasable a priori without which decisions are not statistically justified - an effect that is very significant for decisions affected by small probabilities. Once the metadistribution of the of the non compacted issues has been made then decisions can be made by assessing the deciable-undecidable ratio and assigning a value to each. Metaformative decision making is as much an art as a science and we will be proceding on that basis. Is this clear?
-
Priceless. And anyone would believe this guy about anything? Many things are undecidable. This however is decidable. What is left for Jo to have to ponder? The number on Weber's cell, in Hell?

Fine SERMON. Hallelujah

By the way Blevin's big production is introduced with a MYTH. Blinding Storm - who has ever said there was a BLINDING Storm - MORE MYTHS. . Regarding weather Blevins previously sermonized: RobertMBlevins Oct 18, 2010, 7:06 PM Post #18817 of 18907 (252 views) "And you can bet I blasted them a bit on the History Channel program, especially about their 'weather report' for the night of the hijacking. The official report from Portland International says winds were 5-15mph and mostly light rain and showers all day. In fact, at 8PM winds at ground level were a measly five mph. You can check that at WeatherUnderground dot com. If you believe Himmelsbach, it was a full-blown storm that day. I've been in plenty of REAL Northwest storms, and November 24, 1971 was a typical fall day in Washington. " Typical fall day. Maybe the History Channel producer has decided to go with his own judgement about the weather that day ?

The East End Boys used Skippy peanut butter jar lids and string. Lookout on top of fort complex could communicate with gang members below or hidden in bushes, when the coast was clear. East End Girls club has no similar technologies! At our last Reunion in 2005 Pam N. returned to us one Skippy lid from one of our 'interphones' she had confiscated during our last 'war' in 1957. Pam is our class historian and just wont let things die. We reciprocated by sending Pam N. one half a grapefruit and 'one golash boot' at Christmas. I knew I should have married that damned girl but I lacked the courage!

Of course one also needs to look at things in context. A lot of people worked for Boeing. Not necessarily very unusual that someone had met an employee, particularly around the WA area... On a related subject, you want a grudge? And the timing fits: More specifically ref timing (this extract refers to numbers in Seattle specifically): That last date is very interesting timing in light of the hijacking don't you think...? Keep track of the fact Blevins/Himmeslbach/Ckret say: Boeing and NWA employees WERE NEVER INVESTIGATED ... because they were too trustworthy to have done a hijacking. All such employees, by the way, had finger prints and vitas on file.

Most aviation whuffos dont know that flap positions are specified in degrees. A demand for 15 degrees could have just been a lucky guess or evidence some knowledge of 727 flight characteristics. He didn't just say "flaps down" or "full flaps", he specified a precise setting that was appropriate for TO and slow flight. The 727's speed limit with 15 degrees of flaps is 205 knots which is a good upper limit if you were going to jump, but wanted to exceed chase helicopter speeds. It's also slow enough to make it difficult for fast delta winged supersonic interceptors like F 106s to stay with you in bad weather. F 106s can fly at 200 knots, but it isnt optimal for a chase from behind situation. I am not saying Cooper was thinking about eluding chase aircraft, but he did pick a good speed to do that and it apparently worked. My position that Interphone was a term used exclusively in the military appears incorrect. It is interesting though that passenger airliner cabin crews may use it. Since we can't be certain that Cooper used the term it's all just speculative. Jo has written that someone connected with Duane was a Boeing rep to the Army. I think Boeing Vertol made helicopters for the Army. As far as I know the US Army never sought, bought or used 727s. "Admiral Nimitz said, 'When I answer the interphone from the cabin I normally say "bridge". (History of Naval Warfare) "Exec Producer Bernard Maris said, 'Mon père a des interphones installés dans notre immeuble de bureaux dans Toulose en 1901.Les militaires français utilisaient des interphones dans les fossés dans la Première Guerre Mondiale.' *Frank J SPRAGUE inventeur et père de la interphone électrique c. ... et invente le premier interphone électrique installé sur un bateau. ... Be sure to run your malware cleaner after visiting Blevins' urls listed above. Both urls stick tracking cookies on your computer. Just a fact. Tracking cookies are enabled depending on your security settings in your browser. The first link is to a page at the History Channel website, which I think has been determined as 'Safe' by Norton and every other similar program on the planet. The other goes to my column at MSNBC/Newsvine, where I have been a member in good standing for several years. Newsvine is the citizen-journalism discussion site for MSNBC. My column is visited thousands of times a month and is linked out to scores of other websites with over 450 illustrated articles available on all manner of subjects. There is no malware involved, I assure you. Is you don't like cookies, reset your options in Control Panel. (Windows) I said TRACKING COOKIES as opposed to ordinary cookies. There is a difference. One video link at the Hist url instals even more TRACKING COOKIES (a ton of em) and attempts to instal a pseudo video proggy which is recognised malware. Just a fact. No problem at Newsvine/MSNBC where I guess you run some stuff.

Well, stopping to get something to eat instead of toughing it out with a half-million in cash doesn't make him the Sharpest Tool in the Shed. FBI sez: Not a smart move. He should have shouldered that heavy bag with the half-mil, stayed out of sight, and hiked home on his own. rather than cherry pick as you always do, finish the story. I really don't understand what you mean about 'finish the story'. Everyone knows the ending. The FBI found the money at his house and sent him away for 40 years. He broke out later and was killed. End of story. well the FBI gives a slightly different scenario with a different sequence of events than you give. For one, McCoy was id'd before the ground search even began so any stupidity (hobbling back with a severely sprained ankle) had nothing to do with his capture - he was already caught due to his big mouth with a friend who just happened to be a Highway Patrolman. Moreover, McCoy made it back with his injury in time to participate in his regular Ntl Guard assignment. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/history/famous-cases/richard-floyd-mccoy The point of my comparison was by way of a method for modeling. McCoy was a known quanity. Cooper is an unknown. Comparing their actions and methods during the hijack may yield some useful data. It has nothing to do with "superiority" vs. "stupidity" which seems to be your primary concern, for some reason. We know McCoy survived and lived. Maybe Cooper vanished precisely because he was dumber than McCoy who you say was stupid. That is an interesting juxtapostion, but perhaps not where you wished to take this?

Cooper, with a few commands, made a successful exit and chute deployment likely. He'd be low enough and slow enough to pull it off. 377 I wonder why the crew didnt just retire to the back and sip Colas with Tina on Rat's lap, and let Cooper fly the plane, with all his experience! Too bad you werent there to advise them and let Cooper fly the plane off by himself ... a piece of cake for this Ace. Scott's speeches and interviews after must be a total fabrication. No turbulence. No fine pilotry. No confusion over instructions via the "interphone". This wasn;t a hijacking! This was a comedic musical set in a 727 conducted by a Meastro with a few waves of his hand. Picasso in a parachute! Duane in hob nail boots. And cosmetics by Ace@ left ever'where! I guess it takes an expert to know one. By comparison, McCoy was a novice.
-
Vengeful pilots could sabotage Cooper by giving him a 400 knot exit speed, but not with 15 degrees of flaps and gear down. They could make him hypoxic and eventually unconscious by flying higher......... any funny stuff and I'll do the job. Trumps any and all - "aviation knowledge.

The airstairs thing was done in testing. . PROVE IT! WHAT IS YOUR PROOF?
-
source? What you say makes sense but it sounds like you found some document or something with a date that certifies this. ???
-
How would it assure V23?
-
Why? Because the media has made Cooper a hero, as opposed to all others who are just simple criminals and not too bright, by consensus. You bring up the learning curve. Undoubtedly Cooper was the benefactor of a learning curve - we just dont see it. His migration pattern to 11-24 is not defined (yet). All of which brings up 'clusters' or the clustering of certain kinds of crimes within a given time period. Cooper stands alone? But maybe not.

GZeee! The first Boeing did not roll off the assembly line until the early 60's. Think about how long these plane were in the works prior to that and the possible concepts others had regarding the design. None of what you said above is relevant to what I am trying to tell you guys. This is WHY I do not get into your 'technical" conversations. I just know what I know and what I was told by Duane's own brother...and what I learned in regards to this at a later date.

Boeing also had ready answers to stair down flight questions when contacted by NWA during the hijack. 377 based on experience, no less. Like Cooper, Boeing sent an engineer to the airport and watched the rear stairs being deployed and from that deduced ... rear stairs deploy. Typical engineering I might add -
