  1. And if you encounter hail, it can bash in the leading edges of your wings and stabilizers. In other words, the airframe is now junk. Trust me... you have not lived till you are in freefall with the same stuff hitting your face at 130 MPH.... that will make your day kinda interesting. Even rain drops hurt like hell in freefall... I mean you are hitting all the pointy ends since you are going down so fast Back in the early 70s I was on a load that jumped through rain. The rain stung but all of a sudden it hurt like hell. We had fallen through a bit of hail. We all looked like hell on landing, bloodied faces. Turned out that the wounds were very superficial. Never again. I once got an absolutely killer deal on a near new car, 6800 miles and still under warranty. It had been in a New Mexico hailstorm. The entire body was heavily dimpled. The insurance company totalled it. Must have been huge hailstones. Odd in that the paint was 100% intact. No chips or breaks in the finish. It was a real conversation piece when I was getting gas. I said it was a factory prototype for a drag reduction experiment patterned after golf ball surfaces. I put another 170,000 delightful miles on that bargain car. 377 There were no reports of hail, in the whole Cooper case ? Icing but not hail. If I am correct, hail requires up and down drafts. Each shell on the hail ball corresponds to an up/ down cycle. Since there are no reports of hail this may imply something about up vs down drafting in the region of the case from SEA to PDX, from 10k feet to the ground, because very likely Cooper was gone by PDX.
  2. Georger, I will answer your PM here. First, Farflung and I are not up to anything. Second, you are totally paranoid. Coming from someone who is stone deaf, as you are, that is an interesting comment. Paranoia is associated with your condition. You havent been the same since JT made his sick comment about your ears, in retaliation to your simply showing your expertise. It was the only thing JT could muster for a defense. But then, you attacked Jo Weber of all people over 'credentials'? I knew right there the dynamics of things had changed in your mind, and that is a shame. That you would call anyone paranoid here 'is' a little paranoid, dont you think? I think the better more intelligent approach would be to recognise there are sound reasons for being a little apprehensive in a place known for paranoia, as a general fact of the personalities and conditions here. You sir, are simply one of the flock, now claiming you arent a sheep, but butting heads over trivia anyway, for no sound reason!
  3. Quade - do we have to put up with this insanity? Complaint filed.
  4. This is your problemo - and very old news. Why are you returning to this, old posts on some website back in 2011 ! There isnt anything NEW there, or anything under my name, as you claim. You must be stuck in a timewarp. How many times are you going to keep posting this old link and sensationalising it, bringing this up over and over and over again? Most of the posts there are by you, apparently talking to yourself?.
  5. The discussion is not about 305. It relates to perceptions of "witnesses" about weather that night. Didn't you want to understand the accounts that don't agree with weather bureau data? Shucks! Sometimes I do - sometimes I dont. It all depends on the weather, and my mood. Didn't you want to understand the accounts that don't agree with weather bureau data? Is this a counseling session? Call me old fashioned but I think if you want to understand these stories, you need to interview the people in addition to outside data. That would be the normal approach vs sitting here and just presuming Dona and the others are idiots or liars (as Robert99 contended), because for one thing you need to know how Dona may be in error - not just that she is (or may be) in error apriori, if she is. Why are all of you complicating this so much? Why are we even discussing this! ? Otherewise you might as well skip all the steps and simply apply some model of hysteria - and apply that to the whole case; like Farfluing and Blevins do.
  6. And no some professional pilots aren't made of tissue paper and balsa...It's sugar & spice & everything NICE! (at least MINE is) I havent the faintest idea what you are saying;
  7. Where is any interview (and there are many!) of Mr. Rataczak where he states the weather was a determining factor in any aspect of the Cooper case? Until some concrete example of bad weather surfaces as a 'determining factor' in this case, then it is heresay and cultural goggles.
  8. are you saying any of this was a factor in flight 305 ? These are conditions professional pilots (and their aircraft) encounter all the time. Planes are not made of tissue paper and balsa, and neither are the pilots. 305 was not a Curtis Jenny flying through a Kansas tornado being piloted by an internet Queen!
  9. Of course not - thats why he persists. Trollism. How sad and bad for this thread! On the other hand Knoss is a mirror. He exists and reflects the deep gulf which apparently exists 'between the horns' of the Cooper enigma. Many people seem to have solutions for the case. Many people of al stripes. (It would take a psychiatrist to sort it all out!)
  10. No change here. How about you? Not really. I think Sluggo has the "map" titled wrong but nothing I can do about it, especially with you and Blevins here working as a team of disaffected. I know we cant have a rational discussion. That is all needs to be said. I know the psychology and ideology. Its very very sad, unnecessary. Potatoes!
  11. Sluggo calls it the :1972 FBI Jump Zone Map: He places it under the heading: "FBI Search Maps" . He calls the two pages which accompany the "1972 FBI Jump Zone Map, the "Explanation of lines and points on the LZ map". What do you call these documents? R99: I'd call them the same thing that Sluggo does. G: Why cant someone refer to the two typewritten pages of explanation as cover letters? What law of nature or convention of human language would that violate or confuse ? Maybe you need to issue a Glossary of Terms, and demand everyone follow it - ? R99: A standard dictionary should be sufficient. G: Oh! almost forgot! Will ask here: Do you or Tom or Blevins happen to have the missing page from Larry's six pages of the weather data? I assume you know what Im talking about? Maybe you dont. Maybe you do! R99: I haven't counted them. No. Yes. No. G: Do you know where I got those pages? Im lost and confused. R99: Larry? Agreed but you said it. Well, DO YOU NOW FEEL BETTER! ?
  12. "The map doesnt cover that, or doesnt mention that specifically?" Huh? Whatever you are talking about, a good place to start would be the quotation at the top of your post and the write-up (its not a cover letter) that came with the drop zone map. Sluggo calls it the :1972 FBI Jump Zone Map: He places it under the heading: "FBI Search Maps" . He calls the two pages which accompany the "1972 FBI Jump Zone Map, the "Explanation of lines and points on the LZ map". What do you call these documents? Why cant someone refer to the two typewritten pages of explanation as cover letters? What law of nature or convention of human language would that violate or confuse ? 13. Also, there is the Noise Factor. Imagine those jet engines screaming. I don't care how friggin' brave you think you are, faced with those partially-opened stairs and those screaming engines in your ears, maybe you take the safe route and back down. As you move backward, That's how I personally envision Cooper's jump. It's just a theory, though. Thats an interesting concept. ! Turn your back to the monster. Hmmmm. Maybe the monster would go away, and no point in facing it in any event, so just turn your back? Cooper the chicken shit. We all have theories. Mostof us dont use up tons of bandwidth expressing them ad infinitum. But each to his own . . . on the internet.
  14. The map in question covers those conditions. However, it doesn't cover a no-pull situation which would put Cooper on the ground roughly one mile, or less depending on the height of the local terrain, down track from his jump point. Down track parallel with or under the FP? No drift? What do you estimate the forward throw to be? The map doesnt cover that, or doesnt mention that specifically?
  15. My best guess says he did it right off the stairs. Your best guess, or 377's best guess you have borrowed as your own ? Good to see you and Robert99 working as a team!
  16. You should be able to find lots of them right in your town. A guy with the username proautodetailer has been known to upload phony Cooper bill videos to YouTube...and yes...I went back and changed that post to Mammoth Lakes. I updated the Newsvine article too, just to make sure. I sure was upset when Fossett disappeared. I think I did eight articles on him. The only person I've done more on was Obama. Maybe sixty articles on The Prez, all total. Most before the election, some after. Forget the politics. Here's a funny one about the day he takes office. I may be twisted, but I do have a sense of humor. *Question Everything* we know who that is - thanks for letting us know!
  17. attached - I assume you have the map so wont attach it - I have the color version if you want it -
  18. Yes they are. I don't think there are redactions, but look and see for yourself. Takes an acrobat viewer. I think the reference to redactions is about time periods when suddenly there is no communication. The key one is right around the time when Cooper supposedly jumped. I think the comms just all switched over to the patched "company" circuit. Are you able to keep up with the youngun? http://n467us.com/Data%20Files/dbcooper_transcripts.pdf The redactions Orange is talking about are in the cover letter - blacked out portions. BTW there were controler comms still going on with 305 during the blanked out period, in addition to NWA comms.
  19. You are boocoups dinky dao. go to bed while you can still find it -
  20. Where, have I ever said any of this is true? "georger approved’, ethos of consistency" ? I didnt writre H's book. Get a life! You are soiling the wrong tree again.
  21. You mean the one discussed in the rest of the post you replied to? As follows: The transcript has about 19.5 pages about [edit: the first taped hour of] communications between flight 305 and ground control. All the fiasco about refuelling and getting the passengers away from the plane. About a quarter of the way through is the first reference to any closure. It was that the south 3500' (apx 20 percent) of the "other" 16 was closed. Another quarter of the way through the transcript there was more definite about closure. "The airport's closed at this time." Then, "305 the airport's closed and we have planes holding and we need to get a few off." Ground control wanted "to put an unlighted vehicle on each side of one six left" to make sure the runway was kept clear. There must have been a bit of backup. Shortly then, probably "Al" Lee said "I'm standing here now looking straight across towards our hangar and Alaska's. They're pumping out here right now." yes I posted the sections for Farflung's complaint, not you. You refer to the same passages. Wasnt a criticism, Just a citation - The question was: did they close the airport? The transcript says they closed the airport. Sorry for the interference! Please continue -
  22. so, conclusion: Bohan never existed. Just anbohter Himmelsbach lie -
