Wingsuit Flocking ==> Balloon Suit Flocking?
VectorBoy replied to mysty429's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Also Taylor I'd love to see you try out for the Elsinore big flocks, I'd like to see you on the record! Why not add precise desciplined flocking to your high speed solo across the valley bag of tricks. -
Wingsuit Flocking ==> Balloon Suit Flocking?
VectorBoy replied to mysty429's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Haven't flown the big suits, but seeing some flyers brand new to wingsuiting on them scares me a bit.! Regardless of suit size. Some people are not being taught or understanding some fundamentals unique to wingsuits. The naturals get it, some of us had to trial and error ourselves through success and failure over hundreds of wingsuit jumps and some just get a bigger suit to compensate... after all nothing else works. But if you don't understand the fundamentals the big suit is a loss also. In larger groups we must get out of the plane timely. You can't stop and turn around to face the relative in the door, get out, expect burble and fly accordingly. You must acquire the base and create, for lack of better word, a firing solution to where it will be when you get there not where it is now. Flying to where it is now takes you on a descending carve to below and forever behind..... this is the big failing visual that leads flockers to get more wings so that they don't get below and the assumption that the extra wings will give them the speed to catch the base. Getting bigger wings is just a band-aid to not understanding what is going on in the flight. You can't let this frustrate you. In time more people will get it. -
Wingsuit Flocking ==> Balloon Suit Flocking?

Taylor quit yer gripping. When we are done with CRW its you and me in our vampires, its on brother. The current large group pace is what it is to get participants with a broad spectrum of body sizes, aircraft exit techniqes and flight skills all to play together. It actually ends up being adjusted as the days jumps progress...as needed. On the flip side you would be shocked to learn the variances of similar sized guys in similar sized vampires. The pilot skill is still the biggest variable by far. Get yourself to a ten way or better all Vampire/Skyflyer flock and see. It might leave you wishing for a medium paced skillful group. BTW my WS main is also set up for REC CReW so after a flock you can get in a dock and satisfy both masters. -
You learned to scuba dive a few years ago, go on a warm water dive trip.

Same here. Anybody TVO it and care to share?

There is a turbo prop cummuter flight you can take right to the boogie from SLC, don't know what it costs. Although it is nice to have a car to zip into town in search of...... a shower.... hot meal... trendy turisty shopping stuff , booze. If friends will assist with town trips its not a worry but it is tuff to be isolated at the airport.

Very nice Rosa! I'm curious how much lead they stuck you with?

Funny Quade didn't complain about ruination on that one!?!

I bet you Malmsteen is still "big in Japan".

Just because the canopy is a big one doesn't mean it won't hurt your back issues, don't forget the openings. The PD230 may not be the softest opening canopy out there.

I'm 5'9" average build with a vector 2 17"harness fits me well. I've had from 200 to 126 square foot canopys in it but the smaller sizes were bulkier packing CRW canopys. Its either a V3 or V5 ( label is worn ) fits 170 sized canopys nicely. It is a 19 year old container and not safe for freeflying and there no mods to make it safe for FF regardless of what you hear. Its great for belly , wingsuit and CRW. I got it as starter gear cheap but its value resale is so low that I couldn't sell it with a reserve for more than $300 so its now a dedicated CRW rig

Of course! What's a little wrap between team mates Yes we have! A wrap is what binds us and brings us closer together.

Wow you had questions to my question before it was a question.

Any body know of a windows program that lets you record live audio, mix it and add effects on a PC with the ability to burn it to a CD just like Macs garage band?

, Igor Benson developed the Gyro Copter (Powered) and the Gyro Glider (tow version) Back in '57 or '58 I was 12 or 13 and sent off two box tops and $1.98 for the info pak and a nice scale drawing!! Still have it in my archives!! Too cool dude!! My dad had a Benson gyro. car towing was a cheap way to get trained they thought back then. My dad even crashed while getting trained in a two seater while being car towed. After that he swore off towing and stuck to power flying his own. I wish I had that bird today.

You got it backwards. Post on company time jump on personal time. Besides if I'm there in person its all personal time.

Yeyo, shame on you for posting glide plots on this tread. Jarno and Yuri this is your last warning for talking glide ratios in an groovalicious and artistic flying based tread before I send it to the armchair wingsuit flyers corner and ban you three...... Wait a second I'm not a moderator.... whoooops

And she can swoop you back

Marco and Gi rock! Its always a pleasure to fly with them.

Or grab your neptune out of your helmet to silence the beeps on descent. The stewardess got a real rise out of that beeping digital timer looking remote detonator looking thing. A few months ago a traveling CRW dog who checked everything almost missed his flight because of the weight belt big dark spot in the X-ray that caused TSA to open everything including his reserve.

What canopy and size are the russian lads flying?

Does ED have a Phantom 2 demo?

For those non native speakers (such as me) who have to look this sh*t up first.. noun: someone who deliberately foments trouble Dude, you're going to make me look up foments[b/] now.

Instigator...... NO The description of feet out fast flight sounded good and hopefully we will see video, maybe to include a precise tight 16 way or better while flying balls out. Now that is instigating!

Your standard SD footage is very good.
