  1. I used schedule 80 PVC pipe and heated it over a gas BBQ grill. Electric conduit benders that electricians use work better if you know a sparky. The tubing will become flexible like a spaghetti noodle at very low temperatures that you can wrap around a bucket or barrel to get the shape until it cools in seconds. So hold it above the grill don't touch the grill unless you want to smell black toxic smoke. Sprinkler tube does not come in the thickness you will need. You can get cheap 1.8 oz rip stop at sewing centers or ZP from para gear. Handles from all kinds of designs from borrowed ski-tows to spectra line inside of seal tight conduit ( electrical product). Be a little crafty and enjoy. I always deploy holding mine. Even jumped it at night with a big light in it.
  2. Or, one can get a pretty good idea by jumping at a well known BASE site. In retrospect, I think all the time I spent analyzing gps and neptune data was a waste of time. Kris In theory yes and I agree if you have a really tall object, good weather, easy landing area , you are an experienced wingsuit BASE jumper thats not easily overwhelmed and distracted and the jump isn't overly technically difficult. Its just that skydives are not as demanding as any kind of BASE jump. They offer much more working time for benchmarking in a less stressfull environment.
  3. That is what the solos are for. Kris Initially yes, then you need to make minor adjustments against a benchmark like a buddy, or several, that you've flown with for many many jumps. These small tweaks of your body and reactions is how you will fine tune the suit. If you primarily do solos and are benchmarking with neptunes or GPS data then there is too great a gap in the trying something-analyzing data- fine tune and retry that it takes much longer to really own the suit.
  4. If you're used to using a retractable PC it won't be a big deal. I know of a several European wingsuiters that use basically a CRW set up for wingsuiting without issue. Make sure that the CRW bridle is still long enough to deploy behind the burble of wingsuit. Typical sport bridle lengths are fine, just keep in mind that smaller canopys with CRW retractable Dacron bridles have short bridle lengths overall.
  5. So let me get this straight the big tony suits are a vanity purchase but the S-6 is not? We both agree that the tony is an upgrade though.
  6. I have flown and many people do fly their vampires on their backs. Its just that every other suit I do own has the backvents. I don't need them on the vampire.
  7. Some of the wingsuit schools out west and up in the north east also teach paintball techniqes and small arms training. They may be a more well rounded investment for the franchisable accredited school dollar in these times of slow economics and weather holds.
  8. You are a sadly mistaken customer as am I I've never desired to backfly my V2 either. Its just about the need for speed, purely.
  9. Well you better start something, some new rating. When BM stops selling wingsuits because there not as profitable as jeans and because they are not any good your BMI-BMCI won't mean didly. It doesn't now but officially non-didly, serious. I PEE in your swiming pool from the other side of the planet, WEEEEEE. I'm on the internet and I'm fucking winning!!!! WEEEE!
  10. BTW I watched your video several times, to include watching it again following your complaint thinking I missed another one. Its nice to know the Tony suit cuttaway less wing works. Can't wait to try one myself.
  11. Its been done many many times by freeflyers. Doug's video may be the only wingsuit version of it.....or not, meybe.
  12. Works as advertised, arms immediately free. /Further evidence no one watches my videos but the people in them. Its hard to tell what suit you are wearing from your own camera's POV, and not all Tonys are so equipt.
  13. Depends on the wingloading and speed.
  14. I was surprised he actually made it into the air at all with all the hot chicks there this last weekend. Simple, all those hot chicks had teeth.
  15. Cuz he made a poor choice regarding who he was hanging out with that night. You shoulda been there, it wouldn't have happened. I shoulda been there, it wouldn't have happened. Or the obvious, that they shouldna been there. My money sez those girls din't have any teeth.
  16. You can buy my wingsuit school for three EZ payments of $29.99 and if you order now I will throw in my video for getting ripped abbs absolutely free. But seriously without any background info on offers made and why the post means nothing to 98% of the readers. Its kind of like a post that contains nothing but the word shabawanga or something like that in it.
  17. I'm sure she would love a segment like that. And after she gets a few extra flights to get in the groove she might be ready. She said she was lovin it and scared at the same time. Those happen to be two of my favorite things about skydiving.
  18. On sunday there quite a few more between Jeff an Taya: Scotty and his wife ( who happen to be the parents of one of my CRW dogs), KFC, so now that makes the skydivergirl a skyflyergirl too. There were at least three others but the names escape me right now.
  19. Who makes the demon? I love the cobalt and know people that love their radical.
  20. Ah yes, you don't want to get any demerits.
  21. There is already a block on there, its the one that holds the little ring your brake line feeds through. Grab that.
  22. Actually the fission will be slower paced but further expanding than the 100 RW way break offs. Some of those look absolutely furious the first couple of time you witness them from the ground then after a while you start to see the sequence unfold, it starts to appear very controlled and not as dramatic as the first few times you see one.
  23. They already do that! I'm the sasquatch bitches!
