Some one PM'd me with a phone number 415-738-2480, which is an automated phone system for Go Pro. When you connect to support it ask you to go to the web or leave a message. After leaving a message on the 3rd day, I called back the next day and connected to an operator which put me through to a real person. They asked me several times if I had tried different batteries and if I had tried taking the memory card out an turning it on, all of which I tried about 5 different times in every conceivable variation before even e-mailing them. They then gave me an address to send the camera back to and told me upon receipt of the camera they would have another out within 3 days. I should see a camera in about 1 to 2 weeks I guess with shipping times. Yeah Kirk He's dead Jim

Thanks for the response, I am sure that Go Pro is a great company and product. I find it a little annoying that the only way to address a problem with their product is to e-mail them and wait till they find the time to contact you. I paid extra for a quick delivery which they did but now I am looking at a more time/weeks (depending on how long it takes for them to respond, which has already been 2 days)and added expense to deal with the fact that I got a faulty product and I can not even send it back(according to their website) until they find the time to e-mail me back, all of which could have been handled in a 2 minute phone call but now I wait. Does anyone have an actual contact phone # for Go Pro. I received my Go pro and it stopped working after 5 minutes. There website has an e-mail address only which I e-mailed but no one has responded. Kirk He's dead Jim

It really depends on how busy they are, I have received a suit in 1-1/2 weeks after ordering with the rush fee and I just received a wingsuit in 4-1/2 weeks after order without the rush fee. I would suspect somewhere around 2 weeks or so, but you could call the dealer or tonysuit if ordered direct and ask the leadtime too. Tonysuit makes a really great product. Kirk He's dead Jim

I know you are asking about toggle pressure but I have some important info on the omega's (this is a repost) I e-mailed Icarus and explained that this had been talked about here and if they could give me a reply that I could post so here is Icarus's reply The Safire-1 and the Omega are measured differently to PD canopies. As a rough guide a Safire-1 or Omega is about the same size as the next size down - eg A Safire 149 is about a 135. A Safire 119 is about a 109. Use an equation of 8%. The Safire-2 and Omni (Omni supercedes Omega) are measured the same as PD. All other Icarus Canopies are measured the same as PD. The reason for the difference is due to Precision measuring their canopies differently. Icarus have always measured the same as PD however when we originally commenced in the USA, Precision were building parachutes for us under license and were doing it using their size equations and not Icarus/PD's. We have therefore had to wait to supercede these models to change the size equation. Only the Safire and Omega were affected. Another aspect of picking colors is resale, a dark colored canopy may be harder to resale at a high price due to it being harder to spot if cut away. Also stay away from pink, it just bad in general. Kirk He's dead Jim

One car you might want to consider is the Suzuki XL7. They have a lower resale value than most but have a 10year 100000 mile warranty that follows the vehicle regardless of how many have owned it. You should be able to find a fully loaded late model with under 30000 miles for under $20000. My father and brother both own one and like them alot, they also come with third row seating. Something to consider in picking the color for your canopy is how easy it would be to find if you chop it. I notice you are picking darker colors which would make it harder to find if you chop it. Kirk He's dead Jim

Not sure if it was real or not but in the early 90', I heard that in Japan they had vending machines that sold them. However, I heard later that the men that bought them did not believe the women on the picture was the one that actually wore them. Personally, I think it is just wrong on so many levels Kirk He's dead Jim

I would think you should be able to find a place somewhere not too far away that would take you. The weight becomes an issue because the gear is only rated for 500 LBS total weight and the rig weights about 55 lbs leaving 445 LBS to split between two people. Generally, one would not want to take a 5'4" 150 LBS instructor and put them with a student that is 6'3" and heavy so just putting in a weight limit helps. Some DZ will off set instructor to students to allow for heavier students and others will not. Kirk He's dead Jim

Have a custom clutch disk made using the existing center from the old one. I had to do that with my 70' Cuda as I had a Hemi 4 speed which had a diffenent spline and I wanted different material for the disk . I went to a local place http://www.ottsfrictionsupply.com/ but there should be something like that around you. As far as the flywheel you should be able to find an after market one or just have one made by a machine shop. Kirk He's dead Jim

If you look on the order form it has the bird versions but I do not see any reference to Mach 2 Kirk He's dead Jim

I would suggest checking out craigslist as alot of other people are getting rid of their dust collecting cloths hangers. I have a bowflex and really like it, I think that it is as clost to free weights as you can get. The only thing I dislike is the start of the movements are easier than the end. Kirk He's dead Jim

Tandem Doomsday Scenario
TheCaptain replied to skydived19006's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I agree with you about the current law suit, but what I was basically saying is I think the Tandem industry would fall if the likely hood of lawsuits goes up too much. We live in a sue happy enviroment where alot of people are looking to spin the lawsuit wheel if there is a chance they could win big regardless if they actually have a legitimate case or not. Tandem Doomsday Scenario
TheCaptain replied to skydived19006's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I would guess it would be more from a legal stand point, if a legal precedent is set that the waivers do not sign away the students rights and that the DZO & Instructor can be found liable for almost anything. I think that would make most tandem operations go away IMHO. Kirk He's dead Jim -
I really could not beleive that the other leader(not Brice) let the guy with the bad knee(Goldman I think) that kept going out give it a shot to the summit. I also could not believe the guy thought he deserved another shot after he had to be carried down section because of this ribs and leg. I am glad the ohter leader finally told the guy no but from what I have seen in the past I do not think Brice would have even given the guy the opertunity to summit at all. Love the show

I thought the CGI was incredible. That asside the story was a regurgitated version of Pocahontas . I thought the visuals were so completely original and breath taking that it almost made up for the completely unoriginal script. Kirk He's dead Jim

I have only jumped my Z1 in cold weather, and may fog up just a little in free fall once in 10 jumps. Under canopy it will completely fog up but I always open it. I have never used any anitfogging stuff on it, I would think that it may just be an issue with the specific helmet you have. Next time your at the DZ your are more than welcome to try mine if it fits. Kirk He's dead Jim

Wow, I would agree with the other two responses. Mistakes happen, they appologized and fixed the issue. How is that bad customer service? I bought from quite a few skydiving sources including paragear and never had bad service (when a mistake was made not by P G but others they appogized and fixed it) Kirk He's dead Jim

How long must I wait for another good Sci-Fi movie?
TheCaptain replied to riddler's topic in The Bonfire
I thought the new Star Trek movie was great and is set to have many sequels. I also thought while you have to pick out some real bad movies there are some really good movies from the original cast & the next generation cast of Star Trek movies too Kirk He's dead Jim -
Drop Zones who accept Skyride Gift Certificates II
TheCaptain replied to BillyVance's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
While I think skyride is an extremely slizzy operation and I wish they would go away, I can see one arguement for accepting the payment from the unfortunate people that are skrewed over by skyride. These people pay alot for their skydive and if the local DZ would not accept this payment then these people are totally out all that money, by accepting the payment these people pay more for the service but at least they get their skydive. If the people that skyride screws over did not get to skydive it leaves a very bad mark on skydiving as a whole. Once again I think Skyride is the lowest form of con-artist out there and I think they deserve to burn in hell but chastising the DZ's that accept payment from the unforutnate ones that got screwed over by skyride is not going to fix anything (IMHO) -
Dave Mustaine is the only one member that skydives or did, not sure if he still does. Funny timing on this post, I was listening to Megadeth's Rust in Peace. Kirk He's dead Jim
