  1. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  2. My last laptop had a fingerprint ID device. Most of the time it took several tries to get a good "read". I would never trust one to open if my life depended on it, not at this time. Maybe someday an affordable one will be trustworthy enough. I have used the keypad type nightstand safe for several years with no complaints. Question is, why keep a round chambered?? If you don't have time to cycle the action( 1-2 seconds) then you sure don't have time to open any kind of safe. Don't feel obligated to answer, just provoking some thought in case you haven't considered that yet. 3. I would love to blaim it on a hangover, but I seldom drink and even then never more than one or two. I just have to admit i was experiencing a brain fart. Hey! I could blaim it on getting older. Yeah!
  4. ...and wiki too... With time, I think we can get some of the tabloids on his must-read list for news. And Wiki Answers. He has used that one also. 5. Actually I am in the States.
  6. Gets even better if they collide at some God-awful angle. Gets real ugly if the velocities are not on the same plane. 7. CAUTION!! When in a hurry and applying stick deodorant be sure to grab the one that has the protective cap (you know, the plastic one with the grab tab) already removed. Ok. I think the bleed has almost stopped. I'll just lift the bandage a bit....nope, still gushing. 8. Worst I've seen: Boston (entire east coast for that matter) Best I've seen: Chattanooga, TN. LA drivers are hard to judge since traffic moves so slow it is hard to tell when you have left the parking lot and when you are on the highway. 9. History lesson No.2: Spending had increased because of the lend-lease act. Roosevelt wanted to build up our military but people (much like you) didn't feel Germany or Japan were a threat. In 1940 we were not at war. We were not preparing for war. We were giving Great Britain a hand with some equipment. I know because my dad was in the Merchant Marine and helped deliver the goods. I need not admit ignorance of Pearl Harbor. I got straight As in high school and college in all my history classes. Even worked as a TA for a history prof. Everybody knows that inadvertantly hitting the wrong key, even if it is halfway across the keyboard, is a typo. Everybody but you, you who makes up his own definitions. And thinks The Onion is real...lol! Ok, I've fed the troll enough. G'day! HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  10. You said we were ramping up for Europe in 1940. We weren't even in the war in 1940. Nuff said. Dude, get the fuck over the typo. You look like an ass trying to make it seem I didn't know when Pearl was attacked. But then, you did think the Onion was a real news outlet. Damn my ribs hurt from laughing so much! HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  11. Uhhhh, dude.....you were the one who posted the definition of typography, not me. I never mentioned it. If you don't like it posted, then edit it out. Simple. For most people anyway. You may have a struggle with it. Websters definition vs wiki definition. Pretty much a no-brainer there. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.

  13. You have to resort to blatant dishonsty. Show it. Gladly.
  14. From Mirriam-Webster: typographic One entry found for typographic. Main Entry: ty·po·graph·ic Pronunciation: "tI-p&-'gra-fik Variant(s): or ty·po·graph·i·cal /-fi-k&l/ Function: adjective : of, relating to, or occurring or used in typography or typeset matter - ty·po·graph·i·cal·ly /-fi-k(&-)lE/ adverb Seems they forgot to put anything in there about the keys being adjacent. Are you resorting to making up definitions to slam people now, Lucky? That's stooping pretty low, even for you. Not that people don't see right through your silly little games. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typography TYPOGRAPHY: The arrangement of type involves the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading (line spacing), adjusting the spaces between groups of letters (tracking) and adjusting the space between pairs of letters (kerning). [1] I don't see that pertaining to accidentally hitting the wrong key as you suggest. This is more like it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typographical_error TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR: The term includes errors due to mechanical failure or slips of the hand or finger, but excludes errors of ignorance. So your finger slipped from the 1 to the 5? Not a typo - so sorry. Looks like ya got me there, Lucky. Oh! Wait! Your "wiki" reference takes on an entirely different meaning when read the whole paragraph and not just what you want people to read. It is as follows: "A typographical error (often shortened to typo) is a mistake made in, originally, the manual type-setting (typography) of printed material, or more recently, the typing process. The term includes errors due to mechanical failure or slips of the hand or finger, but excludes errors of ignorance.[1] Before the arrival of printing, the "copyist's mistake" was the equivalent for manuscripts. Most typos involve simple duplication, omission, transposition, or substitution of a small number of characters." "Includes" doen not mean "is limited to". So sorry your argument doesn't hold water. Besides, I'll trust Webster over wiki any day. Try again. 17. Is that the best you can do? Dig up a typo? BTW, what was the comparison between US and Soviet military forces during Reagans first years? A little louder, please, I couldn't quite hear you. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  18. Yeah. For all the cops and courts know you left your window down all day. Coulda been smoke residue from anybody who walked by with a joint. 19. Perhaps the title will give you a clue... IS THIS FUCKING LEGIT? Ah, I see, because I wasn't familiar with the Onion, Bush really was a great president and Reagan wasn't a fascist pig . Niiiiice logic. Each element stands alone, unless you are of the party that states, 'With us or against us." I couldn't find you attacking when one of the guys 'with you and not against you' thought Japan was atatcked in 1945. I guess you're selective. Remember, attack the person, not the issue. Verifed in your sig I am an open minded centrist. If you disagree with me, then you are just wrong and goat fuck stupid. Go Republicans Japan was attacked in 1945. Several times. 20. I'll wait to comment until i see the flick although I imagine the casting was decent. But then, compared to "The Aviator", any movie has excellent casting. 21. "Stay Right Except To Pass" "Slower Traffic Stay Right" "Drive Right-Pass Left" All of these, plus more, are highway signs intended to remind people to drive in the right lane except when overtaking another vehicle or when traffic conditions dictate otherwise. The reason for passing on the left is simple: A driver's blind spot is much larger off the right-rear corner of the car than it is off the left-rear corner making passing on the left MUCH safer than passing on the right. If you want to cruise in the passing lane that is fine. But when another vehicle is overtaking is is wise to put on your turn signal and move over to the right so they can pass on the left. It is a matter of common courtesy. 24. The data mnealtx posted speaks for itself. I am curious how you could possibly see that as the USSR not being any kind of threat. I won't address you rediculous, sarcastic rant. I've already told you that. 25. Hey! What do you think you're doing introducing facts into the discussion? I can't wait to see Lucky's response to those figures. I'm pretty sure he'll find some way to disallow your post.
