  1. Clinton did it first! HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  2. Sorry, I failed to remeber the details of conversations i had with recruiters 30 years ago. So you served 30 days inactive reserve before basic. That means what? You want a cookie and a gold star to put on your breast pocket? Yes. I actually had back problems starting in my early teens. As I said, i tried to join (there was no draft) but was denied. You have a problem with that? Where did I make that claim? Show us, please. You can't because I never did. That is your biased, uninformed opinion. The United States Army says different. Gee, tough choice who to believe. I'm still waiting for some sort of confirmation to back your claim that Reagan was faking his poor eyesight and didged going overseas. I have produced a link to a cradible source that says just the oppositte, that he did have very poor eyesight and he repeatedly tried to get combat duty. You don't have to have a direct signed letter from God, but something more than your biased and hateful opinion is in order. Time to start backing up your claims, bubba. 3. Do we know if they actually lied or deceived anyone? Maybe they just showed up, gave their names when asked, and were announced. Can't see anything illegal there. They might have inadvertantly done the security people a favor and exposed a dereliction or, at least, incompetence. Heads should roll, but I hope the correct heads roll. I bet it won't happen again. That is what the Service is investigating. If they did as you said they may have done then they broke no laws. OTOH, if they lied about having an invite then they broke several laws. If they are innocent, great. Learn from it and move on. But if they are guilty then they should be prosecuted. 4. No, you served exactly the same as i did before you showed up for basic....0 days. FYI, I was turned down by the Navy, Army, Coast Guard, and Air Force because of chronic back problems. Not everybody who wants to serve gets to. Seems you didn't know that people with very poor eyesight could get into the military but were restricted as to what they could do. No, you don't need an affidavit from God, but something of decent respectability would do since you are only guessing based on your own hatred and bias. Not seeing him wear glasses don't mean a thing. There are little things called CONTACT LENSES that he wore. As for trying to avoid being sent into combat, the National Museum of the Air Force disagrees with you. source: http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=1660 I hope you can respond with something other than insinuation, assumptions, and speculation based on your hatred of the man. 5. Since when has "Oh, they meant no harm and posed no threat" a valid defense for breaking the law? If they lied to get onto White House grounds they should be prosecuted. There are certain situations where, what may seem humorous and funny, should be, and is, taken very seriously. You can't joke about having weapons on an aircraft with the crew, you can't belittle a judge in his/her courtroom, etc. The men and women of the Secret Service have a tough job and have sworn to lay down their lives to protect those in their care. People messing with them is not something to be taken lightly. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  6. What safety concern? I'm quite sure EVERY single guest, invited or not, was checked for weapons. The Secret Service didn't fuck up that badly. No, you have 2 socialites who crashed a party, and that's all. There may be some technical crime they can try to punish them with, but no real transgression happened other than embarrassment. Sorry. I forgot that the only things that can be used to kill are metallic. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  7. "Shitbag" Reagan, as you call him, served longer than you did. He was drafted like many others, reported for duty, and went where they told him. You have evidence to the contrary? He did wear glasses from childhood, then changed to contact lenses. Do you know what his vision was tested at? You must in order for you to deny that it was bad enough to keep him from combat duty. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  8. You've stuck a fork in that a while ago. You expect me to take shots and ignore them. YOU want to trash this forum with petty BS, not me. I really get nothing from your discourse, but love to hand you your ass. Wanna grow up, just ignore or address constructively. Wanna keep trashing the forum, keep doing this: I find it surprising that even you would stoop so low as to say... And then you claim I'm trying to start shit, you started that. Maybe it isn't so surprising after all. I didn't mean for you to get your panties all wadded up. Go ahead and hand me my ass....if you can. You've tried several times and failed miserably. 9. Silly me, worrying about two people getting face-to-face with the President at a party they weren't supposedly weren't invited to and the (supposedly) took it upon themselves to fraudulently enter. Yeah, what's the sense in worrying about the safety of the President? HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  10. We don't know if they lied. We also don't know for sure if they were invited. Yes, it is a disgrace for the Service. But, like I've said, I don't find it the least bit funny. I also find it sick that anybody would. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.

  12. Call me anal, but if this couple did not have an invite and lied to gain access to the President as part of trying to get onto a reality show, they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I see nothing entertaining or the least bit funny about it. OTOH, if they did have an invite then the social office at the White House needs to review their procedures for making sure those who are invited are on the guest list. 13. From your favorite source, Wikipedia, on Reagan's military service: Maybe you should actually investigate a person's background before accusing them of not being willing to fight for his country. I find it surprising that even you would stoop so low as to say someone was unwilling to fight for their country when that person had joined the reserves during peacetime, reported for duty when drafted and, by no fault of his own will, was relegated to stateside duty only. Never forget that for every soldier who fought overseas during WWII, there were several people stateside doing important work to help that soldier perform his best. 14. From all indications it all comes down to whether they were, as they claim, last minute invites and what they told the people working security that evening. If they did have an invite, problem solved. If they didn't have an invitation, and lied to the secret service, then trespassing is the least of their worries. I'm sure the Service will get to the bottom of the issue and handle it in an appropriate manner. HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  15. Not sure what crime translates to crashing a party. But partying with the likes of Joe Biden? Color me uninterested. I agree that if i were to crash a party I would make sure it were a lot more exciting than a State dinner. The Secret Service is taking statements and looking at evidence to see if charges are in order. Specifically, in addition to trespassing, they could be charged under Federal law. 16. Sure. I could argue using facts to show you where you are wrong. I could also try to drag a dead mule. I would have more success with the latter. Or you could just go and find some assertions I refuted and try to refute mine. Hey, I thought the rhetoric mess was over between us, are you gonna go back to trashing this place or can we keep it substantive? Refer back to post #27. 19. IOW, you're going to continue to use it to describe anyone that disagrees with you. Just like "liberal" in the early 90s. Seems like a continuation of other threads started by him. More accurate thread title would be "Conservative Bashing, Part IV" HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  20. The Salahis are a wealthy, polo horse owning couple from the genteel Virginia countryside. They know how to dress (she really was stunning), how to behave, and love a good party. In other words, they blended in perfectly with their surroundings. I have read that they could face charges of trespassing, but I hope that doesn't happen. They went through all the security checkpoints, metal detectors, etc. for weapons and were in fact there to party at THE bash of the year and nothing more. A valuable lesson to the Secret Service and a wonderful bit of fun for the rest of us. Goes to show you can get away with almost anything if you just do it with confidence. Depending on what they told the security personel they could face many charges and i hope the feds throw the book at 'em if for no other reason than to disuade others from doing the same thing. Being wealthy, owning polo horses, knowing how to dress & act, and loving a good party does not exempt one from the law. (Ok, sometimes it does but it shouldn't). 21. For a number of reasons including, but not limited to: A very small percentage of the population has actually observed molten steel up close and would have no isea how to indentify it as such, no solidified pools or remnants of molten steel were found, and the temparatures in the fire did not reach a level that could melt steel. Steel turns red/orange several hundred degrees before melting. Don't think so? Lay a nail on the burner of your stove and see what happens. The thermate/thermite myth has been debunked many times ove, why it is still being brought up is anyones guess, but if you want to discuss that issue we can as soon as we are done with the myth of molten steel. Yes, I have quite a bit of knowledge of aluminum and it's properties. Nothing is unexpected or the least bit surprising about aluminum glowing red/orange even after falling for hundreds of feet. The video I posted the link to is based on scientific fact, not lies and twisted physics like the myths is dispels. 22. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34157390/ns/politics-washington_post/ Just offhand I would guess somebody working security that night got his/her arse ripped pretty darn good the next day. 23. Fact is, you and the rest of the truthers have no idea WHAT you are saying or talking about. Here's your "molten steel" theory debunked. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YXzjAKJQOg&feature=fvw BTW, the cut beam in the vid you posted was cut with an oxy-fuel torch after the collapse to facilitate search efforts. I am willing to discuss this with you but just one issue at a time. Right now let's just focus on the idea that there was molten steel present where there shouldn't be. I, and other engineers, say there wasn't any molten steel. You and the truthers say there was. I watched your vid, you watch the one I posted in response and give your thoughts. Fair enough? HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  24. Do you understand how rediculous the truthers arguments are? Truther: "The steel never got hot enough to melt!" Scientists & Engineers: "It didn't need to. It easily reached a temperature that substantialy weakened the structure." Truther: "The steel never got hot enough to melt!" S&E's: "It didn't need to." Truther: "The steel never got hot enough to melt!" S&E's: "It... didn't... need... to." Truther: "The steel never got hot enough to melt!" S&E's: "I'm going home now and enjoy a nice cold iced tea." Truther: "The steel never got hot enough to melt!"
