  1. Because no one else did 3 cheers for Harry Leicher!!!!!!
  2. to anyone What happened to all the money the NGO's raised to help Haiti after the earthquake.? Bernie Madoff was a very responsiable person. If he had enough cash or BS to make it thru the signicant market correction. He would still be a rock star. We attended disaster meeting a couple of days ago and was to find out the schools are off limits to adults for emergency shelter even after the kids have been taken home. I'll write a ltr to the head school dude to get it verified. After the mtg I talked with some other seniors One man tried to rll me it SOP all over the country Think Florida and all the old folks living in trailers. No problemo the school district tried to float a bond issue. Lucky for use old folks state law requires a 60% majority for a bons issue to pass. 58% was close just not close enough. And thats before we found out the schools were not available for emergencyshelter (I consider it a Rumor until I get it verified by the head of the school district) He was present at the beginning of the mtg but was MIA for the question and answer part. The folks with their private plane's and boats can bug out. The poor old retire's can try and find a place in a church Not whining just the way it is. Remember new orleans and Fema. If the shit hits the fan in this countryThe reality is what it is. Look at Japan. Riots in watts, riots after rodney king verdict, A mass disaster is color blind poliitic's money morals ethics People will do whatever they have to do to survive. Sorry gotta run time to start on my taxes
  3. And of course we don't use torture. Just enhanced interragtion techniques. We lucked out with the cuban missle crisis. They had tac nukes waiting on the beach, And the commie subs that we tried to prevent from surfacing so they would run out of air also had nukes.Unknow to us. One Jump Wonder
  4. When your butts on the line are you sure you want to go shopping for the cheapest and the best.IMO they don't exist. I recommend you start looking for the best first. Thats the important thing. You gets what you pay for unless you got boobs. Than you can make a deal that you might live to regret. One Jump Wonder
  5. Basic law of supply and demand. But the wages still stay the same. I've know Mr Stokes for a long time and I would be to find out he was willing to lower his stds to fill slots. IMO he's a rare breed these days a man of honor. The other evaluator's that change their stds due to the law of supply and demand. Don't know enough them to comment. If their to strict Make a tandem and call yourself a skydiver? I've seen more than one tandem rider ask that question on DZ.com. If I make one tandem am I a skydiver they paid their $$$$ got the video Since some of the peeps on DZ.com work in the industry. When the one tandem wonder asks the question everyone chimes in yes I've even done it on ocassion for Maybe the industry or the real skydivers need to come up with a new classifaction..... The Tandem Skydiver. It is what it is why sugar coat it. The tandems are the life blood of the industry. They will be around long after the last fun jumper bites the dust. We don't have to insult the one tandem wonders and call them packages or whatever other blunt names you all come up with. The english language is a powerful tool. I've not copywrited the term "Tandem Skydiver " so anyone can use it if they got the right stuff. Gender neutral Damn today is Aprial 15. The date sounds signicant its tax time. No problemo live on the west cost got plenty of time to take a nappy and then work on my tax's. One Jump Wonder
  6. Got some nasty stains for only 14 jumps...oh yeah, sometimes there's a REASON for that! Hi T, et all I tried to take another look at the bail out rig that piifish had posted earlier. Saw his name so I didn't bother to read the thread tittle. I started at the bottom of the thread to look at the pics of the canopy of the bailout rig Saw the w stitching on the harness, the good looking Blue canopy, Scratch head, scratch butt, no way is that the Bailout rig from Way back in the day I hope you all find some humor in this. I know I did and just wanted to share it with you all.
  7. Hi Jerry Bingo you got the prize. For some reason I'm not surprised that you were the first to put the Jig saw puzzle togther. I actuall went behind the iron curtain around 1960 during a train ride from Frankfort to West Berlin. And then went to East berlin via check point charlie. . It was a real eye opener for a 13 YO kid. How did you get to Berlin in 63? Ground or air? We don't know how good we got it in the USA in spite of all the present political issue's,and economic challenges. The poor folks that got caught behind the iron curtain In spite of my pessimistic attidude I can't imagine things ever getting that bad in the USA. Impossiable ? hell no but at my age at least I know it won't happen in my lifetime One Jump Wonder
  8. For anyone interest in attending the reunion The POC is Dick Davis He still lives in Fulton and is in chage of the reunion. I got his permission to throw his Email address out there. Please contact Dick directly for any further info His Email address is ddavis8@hotmail.com; I think Dicks open to working with everyone to try and schedual the reunion that will work for most folks. (Herding cats) I'll vouch for the man. Public disclosue. Fulton was a special place at a special time in the history of skydiving. The DZO Mr Bob Atterberry was the best I've ever met and all the guy's that jumped there were the nicest folks I've met. during my short career of skydiving. In spite of all that I'm sorry to inform you all but I won't able to attend due to the usual summer weather conditions in the midwest. I've lived in the PNW to long, our present weather today is as usual cloudy, rain and mid 50's.
  9. Hi folks 104 hits on the fulton DZ reunion and no takers. 1) What state is the fulton airport located in? 2) What famouse WW2 Head of gov't visited this little town after the war and delivered a famouse speech. 3) Why the hell did he choose to make his speech in a litttle town that most people never heard of?. The only reason I know about the place it was the closet DZ to the univ i was attending on the G.I. Bill $175/mo One Jump Wonder
  10. Hi Mr T $300 rub it in dude OTOH are you sure it was his New wife and not his ex wife, did you offer her a package deal $1.000 for the rig and vette I've heard some real horror stories about the poor defenceless ex wife's. Getting even One guy started off with a lot of money but after wife number 2 or 3 he was a little bitter and I still remember his opinion of women 40 yr's later. Warning pre PC statement. can't handle it don't look "If women didn't cook or screw or there should be a bounty on them" If women didn't One Jump Wonder
  11. Hi Nice find I wonder if beatnick has one of those. Silk canopy Bailout rig still in use in 1972 I wonder how long its been since someone actually jumped it. Wag a lot earlier than 1972 One Jump Wonder
  12. That's not my problem ,son. Fact is if the judge has been paid monies from one of the parties in the case ,ethically,he must recuse himself. Peace, Jim B. Congratulations. You think the entire system doesn't work, have no better solution, and have shown zero understanding of the American legal system. Carry on. I'm taking Andy's suggestion. There really is no point in Replying to you unless it's to make fun of your nonsense. Back at you dude. Since you have so much confidence in the american legal system how come you won't go to a state or city that won't allow you to carry a gun. Don't have confidence in our, American legal system? LEO's and 911.
  13. Hi No way to suger coat this? Sure there is it's called propaganda. Put out enough BS that people can't understand eventually they will just suck it up and stop worrying about it. How long did it take before we found out the actual amount of oil leaking into the gulf of mexico from the BP oil leak ? Anyone believe the long term effect on the enviroment have beeen resolved? BP's disaster plan Katrina and New Orleans? did the levee's failed due to tideal surge or poor construction practice's by the COE. Haiti and the earth quake. The NGO's collected a lot of $$$ but a year later S.O.S. I live on the west coast of the US, lucky for my family unit we don't have to worry about any long term effects from "low" level's of radiation exposure. We're going to die from OLD first. Our little children? no problem here, we don't have any. Anyone on the west coast with little children willing to admit they've already bought the little pills just in case the situation gets worse. Reality check folks, trust no one and believe nothing anyone tells you. Even in SC. Spelling nazie's ? live with it.

    Who Failed

Hi Ron QuoteAnyone here ever been pepper sprayed or use pepper spray in self defense? If the kid didn't remember it the first time, or the second time any further use imo is a waste of time and even cruel. Search Youtube for pepper spray and watch the show. It works on most people. One big bad dude was shot by multiple cops in a bar in New orleans with pepper spray. It got his attention but didn't stop him. Maybe on PCP or something. We have a friend who is a sheriff deputy that ended up wrestling with a drunk. The sheriff injured his ankle that required surgery. I was to find out he had to file a workmens comp claim, like every other joe blow and wait in line for the insurance company to do the right thing. One Jump Wonder

  18. Hi Shah Your not a horrible person, maybe just have some unrealistic expectations, and are to direct. Some people that are in long term relationships travel the same path which is ideal. But in reality 50% of people get divorced. You already know that. Most people change over time and not always in the same direction. So in order to stay together we have a choice we can either accept the changes or not. My nephew got divorced after 3 yr's. No regrets as far as I know. Your very outspoken about your ideal life partner and your inability to accept anything less. You don't have to just like my nephew. Some folks paint themselve's in a corner, and feel trapped for various reasons. Kids, money, drugs, whatever. My Nephew and his wife didn't have kids they both have good paying jobs etc so they really didn't have to compromise unless they wanted to. As long as you keep your options open the more freedom you have. If you find the changes unacceptable don't bitch about it just split. My nephew must have had a few good month's then he had enough saw that neither of them were going to change and split Wanna have kids then then your options are limited, Wanna live on two incomes, buy the big house max out the CC etc then your options are limited. Your looking for your perfect mate thats the love of your life lets say you hit the lotto and find the love of your life.
  19. Hi The 2 MA-1's was good in theory so a lot of us used them if 1 is good then 2 is better theory. Then we saw the cover of parachutist that caught the money shot just as the pilot chutes had just left the container. The damn pilot chutes were pointed in opposite directions So the two PC's were actually canceling ea other out rather than doubling the snatch force. Don't know if it was a bridle length issue, stacking one PC on top of the other, or side by side but it looked bad. Don't know if the guy had to sit up to break the burble or how it finally worked out but it evently worked. Later with that back to one PC and sit up after pulling. IMO Pilot chute hesitations were commen and the sit up method was a proven solution. Someones solution was a PC with a spring at least twice as long as the MA-1. Is that the 40" PC your refering to? Watched some folks trying to get that snake into the container Looked way to hard so we never even tried it. Somewhere in my fuzzy brain I seem to remember there were some Surplus PC's that had a larger dia top. Might have even used one or had one. Maybe navy or something. One Jump Wonder
  20. +1 except the AAD wasn't jumping enough to make it worth the $$$. Gotta enjoy the urban legends. One Jump Wonder
  21. My wife used to change her diaper at the DZ ( not my the wife's). The nice young women in the pic. Young lady/man" Back in the day my wife used to change your diaper at the DZ., and she used to bounch you on her knee" Sorry no pics of that shit One Jump Wonder
  22. Still not sure if Shah is real or not but I'll give him the benifit of the doubt and take him seriously. I don't think it's sad it's some funny shit. Take a deep breath and step back and look at the big picture. Look at his background, and where he lives. It's the New york thing. Think Madoff, and his family and circle of friends. They were rock stars Look at the people on this web sight that live in Cali, posting pics of their homes and can't figure out why everyone can't be like them. As far as the women thing getting a free walk Think about the bean count. Lots of groups get special attention. The confused Maj at Ft Hood was a total zero but got special attention for 10 yr's because he was a good bean. The shah doesn't think his background gives his company a good bean. The only reason the women at the DZ get special attention is because the DZ dogs give it to them. Take it or leave it. BTW I'm also a engr my uncle sam paid my way thru college $175/mo graduated with honors using a slide rule. Still remember the first babe I asked out when I was in the univ. Wanna go out? What kind of a car you drive? I have a bicycle bitch take a hike. One Jump Wonder
  23. I went to a concert where the backup singer was over 50 and the headliner wasn't -- a lot of comment was made about how desirable the backup's AARP card made him as a backup Wendy P. Interesting the way our priorities change with time. After our first 30 yr's of marriage, I asked my Boss if she had to do it all over again would she still marry me. We were still in bed and she was only half awake but didn't hestitate. Of course dear You have good health insurance One Jump Wonder
  24. Female stylist My wife cut's my hair with a cheapo set of clippers from Costco (training wheels included). I'm a happy camper for the last 15-20 yr's after the Barber declined to give me a discount due to the very wide bald spot on the top of my dome from from ear to ear. One Jump Wonder
