Christ.. you gotta be kidding me. It never ceases to amaze me how those who serve are treated when they are no longer needed or wanted. Krip.. a very sincere thanks for puttin it on the line for the people of the USA my friend. Hi A One of the sad parts is that Shah's dribble (Barbacue, Dateing women that want to have kids or are less than his ideal image) will get 100's of more views and comments than some things that are more important. To bad so sad. R.I.P. One Jump Wonder

Krip.. a very sincere thanks for puttin it on the line for the people of the USA my friend. Hi A If the people in the USA want to look past the BS the stars and stripes is avail on line fir anyone. The CO at Ft Carson is a power hungry dickhead, that has redefined the meaning of We support oour troops. To bad the dumb ass CO thinks he's saving chump change and kicking the can down the road. Without considering the long term impact that his action will have on the enlisted swine and their families that he's screwing. The way I read it the kid is looking at less than honorable discharge, No G.I.Bill, no VA The kid is branded for life as a loser instead of a G.I. that did his job. For some CO's : Don't matter how many attaboys you get one O-shit and your doomed.

Hi These are the days of double digit unemployement, Some people learned the hard way the "corporate family" turned out to be a myth. Hopefully your new job will still be there when you leave your old one. Yikes, tough times for some folks

" ..................................................................... Because with 500 to 600 square feet of nylon (typical student canopies) overhead, you are descending so slowly that flaring does not make a difference. The risk is that a student will flare too high and mess with something that is working. IOW If it is descending slowly enough to walk away from the landing ... why mes with success? Hi RR Knew a guy that had a biplane. Second hand info he decided to cutawy the main a couple of 100' off the ground rather than land it. As the main was leaveing it became tangled with his reserve. Killed him Happened at Bremerton airport Wa state. A while back. I think it was posted on Dizzy.com but can't find it. K-RIP

Hi Mr T If you want to be "ethical" about it. I think this is the way some of the USPA headquarters staff would do it. Charge USPA a $3,000 consulting fee. Since your a member of USPA and a all around great person, you can give the membership a 50% discount for your services and collect the $1,500 consulting fee. K-RIP One Jump Wonder

QuoteI only know the answer to one of your questions; Rusty, from DeLand, had the femur. True to form, "Crusty Rusty" called the ambulance himself as he was laying in the field with his bone sticking out of his leg. He's had surgery, but will still be in the hospital for a few days so the docs make sure he doesn't get an infection from all the dirt that was on the protruding bone. /reply] Thats hard core stuff. Calling his own ambulance

I haven't been treated too badly by the VA. The worst part is getting an appointment, but other than that, they actually seem to make an effort to help me out. This is the James A Haley hospital in Tampa, no experience with others. YMMV depending on what your problem is. Some unseen condition like PTSD, TBI, can be very hard to diagnose and treat. Some medical conditions caused by poor environmental practices (burn pit) can be debateable and the advesrse effects can take a long time to manifest themselves. It took the VA 20-30 years to figure out that Dioxen (2378,TCCD)in Agent Orange was responsible for a lot of diferent medical conditions, that G.I. s that served in the nam were suffering from. K-RIP

Hi A I think thats the way the A.L. works. ( I never joined just not my thing) I think The facilities are managed and funded at the local level. Want cheap drinks and food and can't afford to remodel or to have someone cleanup the bath rooms. I think that's the local A.L. and their members fault. OTOH the VA is our fault it's out tax $$$ and some of our vets are getting third class or no service. At least we can complain to our congress people about that. Norm Dix and Patty Murrey are supposed to work for me

Hi 10k I'm no where near as experienced as you are, but I've spent so much time on rounds trying to hold nto the wind that I thought I needed a rear view mirror. Even with a WDI most of the time we were getting out way to short. Maybe the Big guy spotting and going out base was trying to tell us something K-RIP

That PIA/GK atudy/report has been around for a while. Maybe even before steering with the rears became common knowledge. I know it was pre canopy coaching. I;m not a instuctor rigger or coach, I just used the KISS principal. I used my toggles because thats the only thing I knew, I did a stand up landing becuase I didn't want to fall down and then stand back up again. As you were, or carry on, and continue with your debate K-RIP

Sorry about that you #10 G.I.'s contractors that was some funny shit. When you get back to the land of the big BX and go to your local DZ there will be some of these guys that got back before you. Treat the gentlemen at the DZ with the respect he deserves. I've seen a couple of these type of posts on Dizzy.com One Jump Wonder

Hi Pat [Don't sweat not remembering me, I don't remember you either. Stormville was a busy place abd a peerson had to be real outsanding to be memoriable. I just try and blend in and go with the flow The one weekend we .were there was so much fun. Max wearing a whistle around his neck to herd the cattle to da plane. Double altimeters on his belly wart. always checked his q ejectors on his ea leg strap twice before checking the next one. Jumping with a one eyed guy that got hurt bad in Normandy. Had to have his reserve handle on the left side. Doing a four way or something, it's time to leave and Bender is on one side and someone else is on my other side. They won't let go, I'm trying harder and harder to do a 180 and and track. Hmmm Everyone else is . Landing in the field with the dogs. Now I Know what to do when we land in a field with some big mean dogs that are barking growling and running at you at the same time.
